I think there was a whole thread about this over on Food Network, if I remember right... maybe?
I think cats put it up there.
I mean, you should probably just try looking for it over there, I guess. Maybe give it a shot?

It was actually posted by cats
Give it a search over there if you have a moment.
Thanks, I'll give that a shot.π

My grandfather had stomach surgery due to cancerβI think they performed some kind of gastric bypass or reconstruction.
If thatβs the case, maybe some of this will help you; I remember what his diet looked like.
He mostly ate pureed or very finely chopped foods. Everything was cooked, and he avoided fried stuff entirely.
Things like beans or peas that cause bloating weren't recommended at all.
Soft cookies were usually fine.
I remember he mainly stuck to homemade fruit compotes made from seasonal fruit, all finely minced.
For drinks, it was just water or tea.
And he ate small amounts frequentlyβnothing heavy or hard to digest.
Hopefully, this helps a bit.
Good luck!

My mom was diagnosed with stomach cancer two months ago.
She lost so much weight that they couldn't even perform surgery, so once we finished her first round of chemo, we started focusing on nutrition to help her regain strength.π
The doctors told her she can eat whatever she likes, as long as nothing is raw or overly spicy.
In just one month, sheβs actually gained four pounds. Her blood work looks great, her EKG is fine too, and sheβs already moving onto her second round of chemo.
Sheβs also taking aloe and shark liver oil.
That said, Iβve been reading online that cancer patients should avoid meat entirely, yet Iβm still giving her a meat-based meal at least once a day.
π
Am I doing this wrong? The doctors specifically told me to keep doing exactly what I'm doing.π

Just let her eat whatever she wantsβthereβs really no point in stressing over it now... I feel for her.
