FC Barcelona is absolute garbage. Honestly, it’s no shocker that Chelsea FC knocked them out. They’ve been getting steamrolled all season long. If Real Madrid actually played with any sense throughout the year, they’d be miles ahead of them. That Barcelona keeper is a joke, and even Božo is claiming Barca hasn't seen a decent goalie in ages. I think FC Barcelona is decent, but they have one glaring issue: everyone just wants to dance their way into the net instead of scoring.
Plus, they have zero backup for Samuel Eto'o.
They’re still good enough to hold their own in the domestic league, though.
If they actually played with some grit, they might win the Champions League, but then they wouldn't be nearly as entertaining to watch, would they?

If they actually possessed a decent defense and knew how to play one, they might actually be contenders for the Champions League. Even their domestic league title is looking shaky right now. Their backline is about as solid as Swiss cheese. The match was entertaining enough to watch, I suppose, but from a coaching standpoint, it was a complete disaster. And honestly, f*** Real Madrid for spending the entire second half just parked in their own half.

They play well—really beautiful, attacking football, which I definitely appreciate—but their biggest issue is just how thin the roster is right now.

That was a pretty depressing game to watch.

Ronaldinho is absolutely killing it at FC Barcelona right now—just incredible to watch. Plus, you've got Samuel Eto'o and Rafael Márquez playing solid games too.

At Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo is clearly the top dog—then you've got Iker Casillas & Thomas Gravesen and David Beckham following behind. Michael Owen and Zizi are pretty decent, too.

The ref was totally one-sided—he completely missed a blatant penalty caused by Roberto Carlos when...
He went in hard on Maxi López's legs—and honestly, that sliding tackle on Ronaldinho right at the edge of the box? That was sketchy as hell. Plus, there were plenty of other fouls throughout the match that I can't even recall now.

Why didn't you just put this thread in the Primer section?

What a hell of a game!!! Both sides were playing really aggressive, attacking football, even though FC Barcelona had way more chances that they just couldn't convert (talk about bad luck). Honestly, that free kick goal by Ronaldinho was easily the highlight of the match!! 🙏 🙏 🙏
