Hey, how much are those Lindinettes going for these days? I stopped by the CVS earlier and Triquilar has jumped up by $6.75! It's ridiculous... They told me everything is hiking up, and once the sales tax increases, we're in for even more trouble...

Adam Campbell5 said:That was your period—but the pill likely shut it down. Same thing happened to me, so I gave my doctor a call. It’s possible for this to happen, don't sweat it.
Don't you dare stop taking them; just keep going.🙂

So I started taking Lindynette 20—well, halfway through the pill—and now I’ve got this brownish discharge... is that actually normal? It’s been going on for a few days now. Had my period for five days, then nothing for five days, and now I’m on day three or four of this spotting... just wondering if anyone else deals with this.

So, I'm hitting my eleventh pill today—and for the last few days, there’s been this light brown discharge going on. They tell me it’s totally normal when you're starting the first pack... just how it goes, I guess.

Oh man, wow, thank you guys so much, seriously. You have no idea how much I appreciate all this.
I don't know, man, I’m just feeling kind of low today. It’s like that heavy, gray fog you get when you’re stuck in a traffic jam on a rainy Tuesday in Seattle—you know, where everything just feels stalled out and there's no clear way to get moving again. Just feeling a bit bummed out, honestly. 🙂
I honestly can't even begin to imagine what that would look like, but I know for a fact it wouldn't be pretty. It’s like trying to run a high-end gaming PC on a broken power supply—everything just glitches out and crashes hard. Taking that much at once is basically inviting a total system failure, and nobody wants to deal with the aftermath of that kind of chaos. Please, stay safe and don't go down that road.

Depends on what kind of prescription you have—if it's private (you know, just a paper slip from the doctor), then it's sixty-something bucks. But if it's an e-prescription, it's closer to thirty-something dollars. 🙂

It’s actually normal for the FIRST 3 PACKS—look, I finished my second pack and I’m still dealing with that discharge. I called my OB-GYN and they told me if it doesn't stop by the end of the THIRD pack, then there might be an actual issue... it's because these are low-dose pills... do a little Googling...

No spotting, no bleeding, nothing like that. Just started getting cramps today, which happens every single time during the last week of the pill. Honestly, I’m hoping my period actually shows up during the break since we forgot to use a condom for ten days straight :$

Hey ladies, I’m considering starting Yaz birth control—specifically for PCOS symptoms and unwanted hair growth—so I wanted to tap into your collective experience. Is the hype actually real regarding those specific issues? Also, I have a quick question about bloodwork: do you need to test hormone levels specifically on the first day of your period? I saw an endocrinologist recently, but they couldn't run my labs because I wasn't on the pill yet—though, strangely enough, nobody mentioned anything about needing to time it with my cycle. They just insisted I had to be on the medication first. Thanks!

Help—this happened fast and now I really need some advice!!!!
I took my 20th and 21st Lyndinette pills, and now—after just a two-day break—my period has arrived. It started first thing this morning, and it isn’t just a light flow; it’s incredibly heavy. I’ve never had a period like this before—it’s usually quite light, so why the sudden change? Aren't these pills supposed to make the bleeding lighter??
Maybe it's because I have a cold, though I doubt that's the cause—besides, I don't even think this is a "real" period, just the uterine lining shedding. And honestly, I've dealt with a hundred colds before and my cycle was always totally normal... please help :S

So what exactly is the problem here? You got your period during a break, which is totally normal. Nothing weird about it. Every woman's body works differently.
If my flow is light, it doesn't mean yours will be.
Besides, I still have quite a heavy flow even though I'm on the pill.

I assume you aren't taking them just to try and reduce the amount you bleed, right? 🙂

No, I’m taking them strictly for contraception—but every label out there claims they reduce cramps and heavy bleeding, so I’m asking. My flow has never been this heavy before.
And the stabbing pains haven't stopped either... even after the second pack.

It’s totally normal for the first three packs; any OB-GYN will tell you the same thing. Your body just needs time to adjust to the changes.

There's no reason to panic. If the spotting doesn't stop after you've finished the third pack, go see your doctor and get it sorted out.

After my first kid, my periods were barely five days long—almost nothing on day 1 and 3, and by day 2, I could barely get out of bed. Once I started Yasmin, they lasted 5 days and were pretty heavy.
After my second, I switched to Tri-Norum and my period went back to being 3-4 days. Sometimes heavy, sometimes light.
We'll see how these work out, because after my very first pill, my period stopped entirely.🤷

Hey ladies! Sorry if this has already been brought up, but I didn't want to scroll through everything to find out..

I actually just started taking Lindynette 20 earlier this week, and honestly, there are moments where it feels like I’m having a hard time breathing.. I took my third pill today and now I’m stuck wondering: is this actually happening, or am I just overthinking things and being silly?

This is my very first time using oral contraceptives, which is why I’m reaching out—has anyone else dealt with a little issue like this? Could it just be a temporary thing while my body adjusts to the pills?

I feel kind of stupid even thinking about stopping the medication, but I am a bit worried. I really hope this passes, so I was just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience? 🙄

I haven't heard of anyone experiencing shortness of breath from birth control before. Honestly, your best bet is to call your OB-GYN and get their advice before you take another one.

Shortness of breath is explicitly listed in the lungs section as a symptom that warrants an IMMEDIATE trip to the doctor. Now, look, there is always a chance you’re just overthinking things—believe me, I’ve been there—but why on earth would you take that risk? 🤷

Has anyone else ever experienced a slight rise in body temperature after starting birth control? I’ve been taking Logest, and I noticed—roughly around the same time I started the regimen—that my temperature has been hovering around 74.5°F. It isn't anything extreme, and I don't feel particularly under the weather, but it is enough to make me a bit uneasy... The package insert doesn't mention elevated temperature as a potential side effect, so perhaps there isn't even a connection to the pills, but I did start tracking my temperature more consistently over the last few months, and during my break, it does dip back down to just under 98.6°F.
I went ahead and had some blood work done, and everything came back perfectly normal.

You caught a cold—that’s it. Nothing to do with the pills. xD

I know, but I was dealing with a nasty cold last week and ended up basically overdosing on Coldrex—I took the maximum amount possible because I absolutely cannot afford to be fully sidelined right now; I have finals coming up. My nose was so congested that I felt like I was in a total fog, just completely out of it. Maybe that’s why I’ve been feeling this way.

I took the tablet today and everything seems fine so far. I’m going to be extra cautious and keep a close eye on how I feel; if I notice the same symptoms cropping up again, I'll head straight to the doctor. Thanks for the advice. 🙂

Honestly, if you had just mentioned right away that you were coming down with a cold... 😁
Based on your initial post, it sounds like the breathing difficulties actually kicked in once you started taking the pills. 🤷

Well, if we're being technical about it... it's been a two-year cold at this point... 😁

There’s no magic fix—I’m back again, drowning in Lyndinette 20 questions. I’ve been doing a 7-day cycle followed by an 8-day break, or maybe it was 7? If my last pill was this past Friday, should I be restarting next Friday or Saturday? The instructions are uselessly vague—they just say: "Always start the pills from a new pack on the same day of the week."
Now I’m stuck wondering what that actually implies—do they mean if I finished on a Friday, I restart on a Friday, or are they talking about picking the same calendar date every month after the break? Help.
