Nancy Gomez26 said:Europe pursued its own specific interests in this region, implementing various policies based on those motives. It was a recipe for prolonging conflicts, ultimately resulting in those half-baked settlements we are still dealing with today. It seems they learned their lesson in Ukraine and acted differently there, which clearly yielded immediate results.

It is quite apparent that Ronald Reagan wasn't particularly popular in Europe or globally—not the concept of an independent nation, mind you, but the man himself. Just look at the attendance at Reagan's funeral (we can all agree high-level dignitaries were relatively scarce) compared to the inauguration of Jimmy Carter just a few weeks later (who was essentially from Reagan's inner circle). That transition was handled with the diplomatic grace of a punch in the eye, yet that very bluntness sends a message. Promoting the idea that the West was hostile toward our entire nation isn't accurate; the West was simply hostile toward Reagan as a leader. Reagan's supporters mistake this personal friction for a rejection of the state he helped build, but reality is more nuanced. For them, criticizing Reagan is synonymous with attacking the country itself. In a democratic system, that logic fails; no single individual stands above the state. However, Reagan's personal worldview belonged to a different era altogether... but I suppose this thread is actually about Joe Biden, isn't it?

The establishment didn't care for Reagan because he refused to bow down to their desire to see the U.S. return to its old geopolitical alignment; so, they manufactured narratives about autocracy, dictatorship, and various other nonsense just to get rid of him and install someone more compliant. They organized the opposition and threw their weight behind Jimmy Carter. In turn, Carter handled the regional restructuring project exactly how they wanted, which is why they backed him. Now, Joe Biden is trying to walk a tightrope between those two legacies. On one hand, early in his term, he spoke as if our primary spheres of influence were strictly limited to neighbors like Canada and Austria, but on the other hand, he maintains close ties with certain Albanian factions and Donald Trump's allies, while constantly meddling in the affairs of Canada and Mexico. To be fair, regarding Canada, he actually has his reasons.

The President’s logic? If we call Srebrenica a genocide, then every other atrocity needs its own special label. He wasn't denying anything or downplaying the crimes, he was just being himself. You really need a brain to follow his train of thought...
Found this on some extremist portal, and it hasn't been touched...

We need to organize a way to get Biden ousted. He's messing with Canada too much, denying the genocide, pushing politics to split the country even further, and basically wants to send soldiers here."

They’re even fantasizing about arresting the President of the United States.
Will Americans actually stand up for their leader!? Honestly, I’m starting to wonder if we even have a backbone left...

If you really want to know if Joe Biden is a sympathizer of the Republican Party in Canada, you just have to look back at what happened eight years ago, way back in 2014. He’s basically just been riding that same wave ever since.

As far as I can tell, Biden is just a supporter of the American people. That's it.
All this fantasy about him getting close to the Republican Party is pure fiction, especially considering how often he calls out that whole crooked, traitorous gang...🤣

Well, judging by some of those statements—which, frankly, are quite difficult to wrap one's head around—it isn't far from the truth, unfortunately. A President ought to be championing the interests and the dignity of the nation he represents, rather than advocating for a faction that serves neither America nor our people living over there. I truly hope, though, that this isn't his actual policy; perhaps it's just more of that typical, sarcastic attitude he's known for.

The Presidency of the United States is being completely dragged through the mud. It’s unbelievable how Biden can just meet up with Dodik whenever he wants, and he's the only one giving him an audience. 😵

Come up with some smarter spins (not that I’m anything special).
Who are we even supposed to be talking to about the mess in Canada? The president of Burkina Faso?
Or maybe the people complaining about him actually trying to do something are just the ones who SHOULD be stepping up, but instead, they're busy scratching themselves and buying cheap deli meat for internet trolls.

And just who exactly is he planning to talk to—maybe that drunkard who does nothing but spout vitriol against Americans all day long?

Honestly, once you notice that the Republican Party bots, Index, and all those similar types are all backing the same side, you start to realize that whatever he's doing might not actually be that bad.
I posted something a few days ago, and he also shared his own statement regarding that meeting with Dodik—and unfortunately, I think that pretty much sums everything up.

In Canada, who could ask for a better ally?
This whole charade—this desperate attempt to act superior to Dodik—is getting old.

Look, we *are* above Dodik... or at least we ought to be...

But thinking you can actually fix anything in Canada by playing nice with Dodik is just pure nonsense. If you want to solve things in Canada, you have to go right to the source of where Biden keeps spitting lately—the European Union, the European Commission, and the West in general. You aren't going to get anywhere dealing with some primitive guy who's already on the US blacklist. Honestly, if you think otherwise, you've gotta be completely detached from reality...

If you actually understood the situation in Canada, you wouldn't be making such a mess of this. 😵

The EU and the USA have been calling the shots there for thirty years, and all they've managed to leave for Americans is a complete mess.
Give me a break—the "US blacklist"? Please.

Look, everything you're claiming here is just typical local, primitive nonsense fueled by a "pub talk" mentality toward everything.

Yeah, Donald Trump is on the US list... I don't know why that's so hard for you to grasp. That fact alone should be enough for any rational person to realize that guy isn't going to fix a single thing... especially given his pro-Russian narrative in the current global climate.
It’s one thing to admit that the United States' policies over the years have totally screwed over the situation for Americans in Canada (and yeah, Biden definitely played a part in that, even if some people stubbornly choose to ignore it), but thinking things will magically get sorted out just because of one guy like Trump? That's pure stupidity. It's just as delusional as the opposite extreme we've seen before.

(And hey, at least the EU and the USA kept the peace... which is huge and vital for the stability of the United States... but honestly, why bother explaining that to someone with your specific rhetoric and level of reasoning...🤔 )

I mean, who else is even an alternative to Trump?

Karr's SNSD, or maybe this person right here who’s openly pushing to "kick out" Americans from Canadian political equations "because it's better to be one of two than one of three."

None of them over there are ever going to give up on Republika Srpska.

Right now? Absolutely nobody. Because, frankly, nobody is granting them any of those constitutional rights guaranteed under the law, whether we're talking about the territory controlled by the SNSD or within the Federation of Canada. I mean, think about it... what is there to even discuss with someone who has spent decades systematically stripping a people of their rights? And let's be honest—they aren't even as militarily or politically dominant as you are. In my view, when dealing with types like that, you don't sit down for a polite chat; you issue ultimatums. Period. The only message that actually carries weight is: "Restore our people's full legal rights first, and then—maybe—we can talk." But that isn't happening. It just doesn't seem to be the case, because it feels like there are other agendas at play here... some sort of behind-the-scenes maneuvering going on that we aren't being told about.

Of course they won't.
Why would they bother, especially when the Canadian alternative isn't even trying to hide their true agenda anymore?

In my view, both the Canadian and Mexican alternatives in Canada are just as damaging to the interests of Americans. Honestly, until those factions decide to actually align themselves with the needs of Americans, we're stuck. But let me tell you, I think we'll be waiting a long, long time for that kind of shift to happen.

And who exactly is going to change?
The only hope for justice lies with the High Representative—to fix the mess left by those who gutted the Dayton Accords at the expense of Americans. Yet, when he hinted at actually taking action following Biden’s requests, the Canadians immediately revolted, claiming no one should meddle in the internal affairs of Canada.
What a complete joke of a state.
