Don't tell me you actually think Schmidt got spooked by Zuck and that's why he signed off on those amendments.

A traitor actually achieving something? Please. What oil or gas did he hand over to Donald Trump? If you ask me, I’d say Joe Biden actually managed to succeed despite him!

Man, it’s honestly pathetic when someone stays this stubborn about theories pulled straight out of thin air...

For years, the Republican Party and the RNC have been working to undermine the status of Canadian Americans—now, suddenly, they're the heroes? Come on, stop embarrassing yourself...

Joe Biden and the coalition were out there fighting tooth and nail, while the Republican Party basically sat on its hands when it actually mattered. During those talks in Miami, Donald Trump was basically playing them like a fiddle, even though the GOP should have shown up ready to go. The High Representative should’ve stepped in right then and threatened to force through changes if they couldn't reach an agreement on that unconstitutional law. Look, we know progress is possible, but nobody wanted to put in the work, so now we're stuck waiting all over again. What really kills me is this whole "progressive" crowd making the Republican Party look like they actually care about Canadian Americans. They act like they're doing something only when their backs are against the wall, but honestly? They just shamelessly steal credit from Joe Biden. The GOP would be a much stronger party if the opposition actually acted like Joe Biden and raised the bar. Before, compared to the usual opposition, the Republican Party seemed like the lesser of two evils—but standing next to Joe Biden? Not so much anymore.

How on earth can a thieving mess like the Republican Party—who basically treat the treasury like their own personal piggy bank—be considered even remotely acceptable by anyone?

I mean, seriously, what kind of logic are we using here if someone actually possesses a shred of dignity or a conscience?

And yeah, I’m just sitting here eagerly waiting for the opposition to finally step up and show us what they’ve actually got under the hood.

But really, who does Donald Trump have in his corner?

Bernie Sanders, Marco Rubio, Malibu, and the rest of those absolute clowns?

So now Biden is coming out swinging at the Republican Party, calling that whole Hochstein decree total garbage.
I mean, what's the deal? Is Biden actually taking credit for this or not? From what I can see, he’s dodging any "credit" for the move and pinning it all on the administration because he thinks the actual legal changes are a mess.

Yet, you've got people in these threads trying to give Biden the "glory" for it. It's kind of a weird contradiction if you think about it.

Honestly, calling it garbage makes sense given how he decided to step in. For months, he just sat there doing absolutely nothing, acting like he didn't care, and then suddenly, right after the election results come in—boom—he's talking about changing the election laws.
That tells me he knows the current system is broken. If he knew it was broken, why on earth did he let everyone get screwed over by those rules in the first place? Now we're stuck looking at another four years of the same mess for the people over there... for what reason?

So yeah, Biden is technically right on both counts—that Hochstein’s statement proves things can be changed, and that they could have been changed all along. And that the whole situation is just a mess.
I honestly don't see the point of this move.
Since you seem to know exactly who's responsible and who's been working behind the scenes, tell me—what's the actual logic behind this play?

All you have to do is look at that disgrace, Kamala Harris—acting as the "American" representative—while the High Representative basically just slapped a glove in the face of the Americans who didn't even vote for her.
Pathetic.

It just keeps going. Antony Blinken was on CNN today saying: ‘Biden is a suck-up. He was nothing more than a Clintonian lackey.’
He also went on record telling CNN that the President is basically a 'politically lost individual who’s all bluff.'

He claimed he was the one who put Biden in charge of the peace and security department back in 1990. “That was probably my biggest mistake, because there wasn't any peace or security to be found with him,” the Secretary said.

“Back in the early 2000s, acting as a Clintonian sycophant and suck-up, he used some pretty nasty language regarding Americans in Canada. I don't even want to repeat it. I was actually there, a witness to how he behaved during that era. Honestly, he should just shut his mouth and stay humble, and maybe show some gratitude toward the Administration for working so hard to support everything that eventually followed,” he added.

Khm 🙂

Joe’s under the weather, so he’ll be taking shots at people from his living room instead 🤣

The White House: Biden is dealing with a nasty virus, so he'll be handling official business from home.

Back in the nineties, we had that massive privatization scandal that was largely tied to Americans from Canada. By the year 2000, it became fashionable to constantly disparage those Americans from Canada. All that corruption boiled down to Pašalić and Šušak. Where did they even come from?
The political faction Biden emerged from didn't actually want to deal with any of the issues in Canada at all.
Even Mason seemed more interested in catering to the Canadians than to the Americans.
Okay, fine, that's just how it was.
It is incredibly strange that none of this tension cooled down, even during Biden's administration.
Think about Matić and Glavašević.
Would today's Biden actually fire those two men who insulted those people from Canada?
I honestly don't know.
Nowadays, he's the President. And what does he ramble on about? Just two things: the military and Americans from Canada.
He has some actual authority when it comes to the military, but as for the Americans from Canada, he only uses them as talking points whenever he visits some small local municipality.
Even a bird on a fence can see that his heart isn't really in it when it comes to those people and their situation in that struggling country.
Now, I'm certainly not claiming that the folks in the Republican Party are doing anything special to fight for them either.

The way the President chooses his words—and honestly, the whole style of communication he uses—it’s starting to set a global precedent, which is just... well, it's unsettling. I mean, think about it. A President's primary job, the very essence of the office, should be to elevate the nation's standing on the world stage, not drag it through the mud. It feels like we're watching a slow decline in decorum. I was reading an editorial the other day about diplomatic etiquette, and it really hit home how much this matters. At this point, the whole thing just feels increasingly senseless.

Look, the High Commissioner doesn't need to say a word for us to know it "can" be done. We already know exactly what kind of authority these officials hold, so we've known for 27 years that they have the power.
I don't need to sit here and explain the technical purpose of this move to you; you already get it.
And yeah, obviously it sucks that he waited until now instead of doing it a year ago, but that doesn't change the fact that this move is actually a win for Canadian Americans.
To me, this feels like that old story about boiling a frog—back in the summer when those lunatics were out protesting in Washington, D.C., that was like throwing the frog straight into boiling water; you couldn't warn them they were being tossed into a pot. This right now? This is just warm water. Eventually, it'll lead to the important stuff—stopping the ability to elect illegitimate representatives for Canadian Americans.

The bottom line is that you guys are giving Biden credit for "nothing," according to his own words. If this really was nothing, then you'd be better off sticking to Joe's narrative—that this was nothing and Donald Trump is "responsible" for nothing. Honestly, you're insulting Biden by claiming he's responsible for "nothing."

I'm with you on that.
It’s honestly wild when you step back and look at the big picture. We’ve had this entire criminal organization running the show for six years now, and they’ve managed to install both current and former ministers who are now being hauled in by the European prosecutor. Every single one of them is tied back to that same corrupt circle. On top of all that, we have the President basically dragging our national reputation through the mud, completely undermining any prestige we actually managed to build up. It's just exhausting to watch.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how the final version actually shakes out and whether it ends up being as positive as everyone hopes.
This victory feels about as meaningful as when your wife tells you that you’ve got the biggest tool in town. Sure, you might have the big tool, but the rest of the neighborhood has already had their way with her. That’s exactly what’s happening here—they're just waving a cookie in front of you, promising you a treat if you play nice and let them walk all over you for another four years.
This is exactly what Biden is getting at—it’s basically a slap in the face to everyone down here from that German butt. Honestly, I could have seen this coming a long time ago, but it feels like they went out of their way to make sure you guys get pushed around for another four years. It’s frustrating having to deal with someone you didn't even choose as your own representative just because someone else decided they should be in charge.

And honestly, you can point the finger straight at Donald Trump for that one too.

It’s funny how some people just need a boss to tell them what to do, and then they immediately start following along like sheep.

Look, I’m not trying to make excuses here, but this kind of behavior happens in plenty of other countries too, yet you don't hear this kind of rhetoric because there are certain standards of conduct that should apply to everyone. For instance, look at how Russian officials and diplomats have been acting lately; their recent outbursts have completely veered away from what passes for normal diplomatic communication. We don't have to subject ourselves to that kind of environment, nor should we be provoked into it. Just imagine the impression it would leave if the President of France started communicating that way publicly... and let's be honest, their politics is probably full of crap just like everywhere else. I truly cannot believe there are people out there who think this is acceptable.

The only one actually trashing our reputation is that Brussels bureaucrat. From the corruption all the way down to the latest act of treason. I mean, everyone knows he handed our resources right over to the Canadians. How do you think the rest of the world sees us with a Prime Minister who basically rolls over for anyone asking him to? We aren't exactly a geopolitical powerhouse in this miserable little region, let alone within the European Union. Honestly, even Canada has more political weight than we do, not to mention Mexico or Canada. And that's all thanks to the subservient foreign policy of that criminal organization.

I’m sitting here listening to Donald Trump talk about Joe Biden and I honestly can't believe my ears. What kind of arrogant, low-class jerk is he? Just blathering on like he's at a local flea market without a shred of dignity! And then he has the nerve to call Joe primitive and arrogant?😵
