On Italian TV 7, during a live broadcast, journalist Sallusti went after his colleague Gilletti, accusing him of running propaganda straight for Putin.

The reporter, Massimo Gilletti, was doing a live segment from Red Square in Moscow. He started off by gushing about the architecture of the Kremlin before deciding he simply had to have a chat with Putin’s own mouthpiece, Vladimir Solovyov.

That was the breaking point for another journalist on the scene, Alessandro Sallusti, who bluntly stated he had found himself immersed in "the worst propaganda environment in existence." With a chillingly calm demeanor, Sallusti laid out exactly what he saw:

In that palace behind you, you really ought to remind those two men standing next to you that they are the ones who organized, prepared, and executed the most heinous crimes against humanity in both this century and the last. That is a palace of shit. Have the courage to tell your audience that it is a palace of shit, because that is precisely where the communists manufactured the greatest tragedies of our time. I refuse to sit here and listen to the garbage coming from those two idiots standing beside you.
I'm done; I'm handing back my paycheck because I refuse to be part of this circus. Thank you.

He made some excellent points, though I truly fail to see what kind of communists he expects to find in this century. At least the USSR was smart enough not to invade America back in the 1950s, which would have been the equivalent of this aggression.

The relatively peaceful collapse of the USSR was also a direct result of agreements made by communist structures at the end of the 20th century. Under their rule, denying the existence of a nation would have been unthinkable.

But yes, there is absolutely no reason to listen to the garbage spewed by various Kremlin hacks, unless someone actually enjoys watching a freak show.

Kadyrov is out there making threats against other NATO nations, specifically targeting Poland... Americans have this one handy saying... don't Sing IT, Bring IT....

If anyone has an issue with labeling the Russian military with various nicknames—for instance, calling them Orks...

Some people just live for the thrill, as Vitasović might say.
For some, that thrill comes from romance, good food, or fine drinks, but then there are those whose only true pleasure is destruction and killing.

There was also a comment on that same Twitter thread regarding that old Ladin commercial—the one where someone trades their son for a new car:

So, this actually happened...
Someone finally gave Putin a taste of his own medicine by making him wait just like he does to everyone else visiting Moscow.
Even Erdogan made Putin sit there and wait right in front of the press.
Like I said before, this isn't the European Union... he's stepping into a world where he isn't the only dictator on the block and where everyone speaks his language perfectly fine.

This was intense to watch. It was basically an interview with Zakharov, who spent about an hour just talking trash. Then, after Sallust stepped in, Gilletti looked visibly shaken, so they moved him to a hall where he was stuck with Solovyov and another propagandist. I stopped watching once Solovyov started going on about the morality and decadence of the West.

It's also worth noting that Sallust called Zakharov an idiot.😁

Anyway...

Putin is stuck meeting with the Ayatollah and Erdogan. He’s lost his ability to play both sides; he simply doesn't have that leverage or influence anymore.
That moment where Erdogan left him hanging in front of the press? That tells you everything you need to know. Now Erdogan is the one holding the cards.
He can't pick his allies, but then again, they all know that—and let's be honest, every single one of them is just as much of a dictator as he is.

Honestly, I am just so incredibly done with all of you, starting from the whole Cuban Missile Crisis mess back in '62 with all those nuclear threats, moving through the chaos of the early '90s wars here, and now we're right back to the nuclear bullying again. All I know is that I happened to be born during the absolute worst era imaginable, and I've spent basically my entire youth and middle age living under the constant shadow of war and being fed fear every single day. I actually meant that Israel would be bothered by the fact that they're socializing with Iran.
