We really need to change this thread title, urgently.

In reality, this isn't about sanctions at all, but rather some sort of 'Special Financial Operation' designed to actually prop up the Russian economy.
😁

I mean, considering how... well, Russia maintains they aren't committing an act of war or invading Ukraine, but are just conducting a 'military-police operation' to assist the Ukrainian people...

So, how exactly does he plan to strike back this time?

He’ll probably just send two or three Chechen people to pull off some terror attacks along the Atlantic coast this summer, right when everyone's trying to enjoy the vacation season here in America.
And then you've got that genius Andrej Plenković out there bragging publicly about us sending weapons. 🤦 If only he’d just kept his mouth shut for once.
I just really hope Putin and his little clique don't make it to summer, otherwise, none of those Chechen people are gonna bother finishing the job properly. 🕺

You laid out Putin's calculation perfectly... fear. If you "give in" to that, then you're falling right into what HE wants us to believe. In fact, if you write about it in this exact way... you're actually doing exactly what HE intended: fueling the very fear he’s calculating with.

Welcome to the front lines of psychological warfare.

If he had stayed quiet, would they even remember we exist?🤦

Dropping a bomb here on the Atlantic coast, where security checks are practically non-existent, could be done by any idiot.

Maybe it’s finally time we stop being economically dependent on some lunatic with a bomb—whether it's a small one or an atomic one.
Or maybe we'll just keep sucking up to them every single summer.

Nah. I have zero clue where you're getting that from—it’s nowhere in the text. All I said is that all this loud-mouthed barking doesn't help anyone, and honestly, it might actually backfire. Like, if we're already gonna take one slap in the face because of sanctions, why invite three more just by making a scene?

Just look at that former BBB leader Dennis—what was his deal with all those TV cameras and newspaper shots?! Just shut up and get to work.

American Express suspends operations in Russia and Belarus
Man, I was just sitting here thinking about how fast everything moves these days, and then you see this:

I've got some news for all my fellow cardholders out there:

1) If you happen to be holding a Mastercard + Visa + American Express issued anywhere else in the world, you won't be able to use them within Russia. 🙂

2) On the flip side, if those cards were actually issued in Russia, they're essentially useless anywhere on the planet now. 😁

Maybe these kinds of sanctions will finally teach Putin and the occupiers of Ukraine a lesson they won't forget.

That specific therapy worked wonders over in Mexico. I was traveling through there quite a bit back then, and honestly, what can I even say? It was an unimaginable level of misery and poverty, almost reminiscent of the conditions you see in India. It certainly did its job when it came to breaking the spirit of Mexico. 👍

Our allies are handling these sanctions perfectly, and honestly, I think we're going to see some real benefits from this down the road—just you wait and see.

I certainly hope they don't limit their scope to just America. There's plenty of tourism in Greece, Italy, Spain, Vienna, and Paris too...
Well, we've already seen how much Paris has declined because of all those terror attacks.

Right as the markets opened, this happened:

For those who might be a bit lost regarding my point here—take a look at that last green line. That represents the dollar gaining ground against the ruble, climbing from 122 up to 135. Basically, the higher that line climbs, the less the ruble is worth.

If you zoom in just a little bit, you can see that the drop in value was almost instantaneous. We're talking within a single minute.

Tanks, infantry, aircraft... honestly, compared to this, they're nothing more than children's toys.

They don't even need the exchange, honestly.
I guess I care way more about the fact that all those Russian rats scattered across the globe are finally losing their funding. That's what actually matters.

That’s all well and good for them, but what about our local heavy hitters like General Dynamics? What happens to their workers, or the contributions they make to our social security and healthcare systems?
I don't lose sleep over oligarchs; I care about regular folks like us. Besides, do you really think the governments in the European Union are actually going to let high energy prices hit their own citizens that hard?

If the Ruble keeps sliding like this, the European Union might actually find some leverage to demand decent discounts on gas and oil, much like the Chinese are attempting to do. I suppose Putin wasn't just aiming for a leg or a knee here; he was aiming straight for the stomach to ensure the maximum amount of pain felt.

They want to strip us of our very last resources. Why shouldn't I be able to control my own hard-earned money—money I already paid taxes on?? Where the hell is the federal funding? Where did that trillion-dollar budget vanish to? Where is the American military, and where is all the gear?? It looks more like "small, separate neo-Nazi factions" out there. The entire elite was absolutely pulverized on the town square; it’s impossible to watch this disgrace. We are eleven days into total humiliation and destruction—just pure, global-scale embarrassment. Ukraine is cheerfully reporting that our reserves will last maybe two days at most. They’re releasing footage of our prisoners alongside piles of dead soldiers and scorched columns of armored vehicles. It’s all on video. Everything has been wiped out in a single roll of the dice. What on earth is this operation, and where the hell did it go?? This is destroying the country right before our eyes.

And all this despite the fact that this isn't a war, but a special operation. Everything the Russian Federation spent twenty years stockpiling has just been obliterated in eleven days. Meanwhile, in the neighboring country, there won't be any Nazis, even though for some reason a huge chunk of the world supports them.

evo ispravka, the whole world supports them, except for Eritrea and North Korea! So, did you actually win? There’s chaos everywhere, but what about RF Dartagnan?

I'm not defending the Russian Federation, but about 35 nations within the United Nations don't support this. In other words, you're actually spreading fake news.

But hey, he's sitting on a mountain of gold; those reserves are massive.
The real kicker is all those sanctions from the West,
