An Analyst on CNN reports that while Russia might struggle after six months, they could potentially sustain this war for years before their economy actually collapses.

The first pair of days on CNN was just a lineup of characters who'd look right at home hosting shows on RT.

Analyst was on that exact same show back in February, though, claiming that a full-scale war wouldn't even happen, and if it did, he thought Kyiv would fall instantly—like, maybe within a week at most, the Russian army would be sitting right on the western border of Ukraine.
Analyst.

I haven't really got a clue, honestly, I guess I haven't been following all the tiny details too closely, I just sort of remember the gist of what he was saying. Maybe it was that skinny guy with the braid or something?

I mean, what's next? They might as well just bring in Oksana Boyko or Shevardnadze at this point.

Yeah, it’s been a few days now where we've actually seen them starting to drift back down from that $140 mark, almost like they're finally losing steam after trying to hold that level.

It’s been circling around the 130 mark for days now. Seems like that’s the line in the sand they've decided to defend. I just wonder how much longer they can hold it together, because the second that buying pressure stops, that currency is going to start sliding fast.

The European Union is rolling out its fourth round of sanctions against Russia tomorrow.

"First off, we’re stripping Russia of its most-favored-nation status in our markets. This effectively wipes out those key perks they get through the WTO. Russian companies will no longer enjoy preferential treatment within our economies," stated Ursula von der Leyen.

The EU will "also push to suspend Russia's membership rights in major multilateral financial institutions—think the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. We’ll make sure Russia can't touch financing, loans, or any other benefits from these organizations."

"The bloc will also move to ensure the Russian state and its elites can't use crypto to dodge sanctions, while simultaneously banning the export of luxury goods from the EU to Russia," she added.

French President Emmanuel Macron noted that regarding this fourth package, "everything is on the table—nothing is off-limits"—suggesting that even banning Russian gas imports or cutting key banks like JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America off from the SWIFT system remains a possibility.

Can Russia actually weather this storm?

YouTube just dropped the news that they’re going to block all Russian state-run channels across their entire platform, globally.

The whole thing kicks in immediately.
