This isn't a war being fought on American soil. If the Ukrainian people want to maintain their sovereignty, they have to fight for it with their own blood, just like we had to do back in the day...
All Americans stand behind the Ukrainian people because they're going through exactly what we endured all by ourselves without anyone stepping in to help us!!
And you, honey, feel free to keep tapping away at your keyboard if it makes you feel better...
I'm still waiting for an answer from gentleharbor3 regarding where she read about the war in America—which news site was she looking at, exactly?
I’d honestly be amused (it's hard to take these kinds of comments seriously) if she actually tried to claim America was just some proxy for someone else during our conflicts, or if she attempted to draw a direct line between the Vietnam War and local massacres... if she pulled that off, I might have to award her a virtual Nobel...

Half the comments are like, "Ukrainians aren't fighting back, surrender is just a matter of time," and then the other half are screaming, "The invasion is totally falling apart, Ukrainians are holding the line, and Putin is about to get his teeth kicked in." 😕
It was supposed to be all over within 48 hours—so maybe use some brainpower, look at the maps showing what the Ukrainians hold versus what the Russians hold, and then consider who actually owns what territory. Putin managed the impossible by February 24, 2022: he turned most Ukrainians against him. I’d tell him to take a seat; he’s achieved nothing but total isolation.

That was just some guy from the Russian Ministry of Defense, you know, the one in the military fatigues giving the field report, if I'm remembering right...

Nicholas Watson said:Wait, "Nazi Russian forces"? Why not just call them communist forces then?
Their whole end goal is bringing back the USSR, not building some Third Reich nightmare.
Just listen to Putin's hour-long pro-Nazi speech. Aside from mentioning borders, that whole thing has nothing to do with old-school Soviet ideology. It’s actually quite the opposite...

we’d all be speaking some weird hybrid language today.
Russia has 6,255.
It’s fascinating how many people take everything they read
on Twitter and stuff as gospel, ignoring the fact that information warfare
is a core component of every conflict, especially in the age of
the internet and social media...
The Ukrainians aren't going to win this war
because if Putin loses his mind, he'll just level everything to the ground.
And based on the messages coming out of the White House, it's obvious
that lowering the guard and returning to negotiations is smarter
than continuing this stubborn defiance.
That's the reality.
The problem is that Americans completely misinterpret
their own experiences from the American Civil War when looking at this war.
So, who are we even supposed to be negotiating with...?
Is he some KGB-style paranoid? Just days ago, he was insisting there wouldn't be an invasion of Ukraine... mocking Washington and using mouthpieces like Zakharova to claim it’s all just US propaganda...
Such a shame...
So many people—myself included—fell for the idea that it was all just US propaganda... then reality hit us hard.
It is what it is...
The important stuff...
At the end of the day, there's really only one question left... do you support an attack on Ukraine?

One can hardly dispute the credibility of such a source, can one? 🤣🤣🤣

gentleharbor3 said:Right. Americans are at their best when they're defending territory 3108 miles far away from home.
Reminds me of that long-lost Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, who once claimed
that the US would defend itself in Afghanistan. 🙂
Exactly. It’s always better to hold the line in Luhansk than to be out there in Kyiv or fighting in Kyiv itself.

Fair enough.
I'm just pointing out both sides of things.

Give me a break... that's exactly how the Russian people will struggle to survive, much like the Ukrainian Armed Forces facing sanctions. It's a brutal oligarchy where you have one wealthy elite for every 200 poor citizens in a supposedly mid-tier nation.
The smart ones in Russia are probably out there trying to protest that kind of "freedom."

People keep obsessing over those 78 days, but the bombings weren't happening every single day.

Based on what people are saying online, this is actually happening in Syria

I mean, they just got a handful of those from the suppliers recently, so unless there's some high-level oversight happening on the ground, it's not like they can just grab a drone and start blasting whenever they feel like it
You see footage like this all the time from video games or back during the 2014 conflicts, where both sides are basically running massive propaganda machines to make themselves look better

Pretty sure that footage is from Syria.
Haven't heard about any confirmed strikes yet.

This war is just weird, I guess. It’s crazy how there’s basically zero info coming from the actual front lines. Just endless hype in the American media.

Kyiv is extending its curfew, and anyone caught out after 5 PM is being treated as an enemy
The Mayor of Kyiv announced this Saturday that the curfew—originally implemented due to the Russian invasion—is being extended, warning that anyone found outdoors between 5 PM and 8 AM will be viewed as a hostile presence.
"Any civilians caught out during the curfew hours will be considered members of enemy sabotage and intelligence groups", Vitali Klitschko posted on Telegram.

1. Hostomel Airfield. This is where the Russes launched their initial helicopter assault on day one, before Ukraine pushed them back by the end of the day... then the Russes just retook it the next morning.
2. Vorzel. Fighting happened here today. Pretty sure the Russes have seized control now.
3. That spot from yesterday where a tank crushed a car—that was a Russian saboteur who flipped into a Ukrainian soldier, hijacked a tank with his crew, and then got neutralized.
4. The bridge the Ukrainians blew up yesterday to stop the Russes from crossing the Dnieper 5th Night.
5. Today’s night raid by the Russes ended right here. A few tanks and vehicles gone, plus heavy casualties on the Russian side.
6. Where Grandpa is digging a trench.
7. Just a bit south, there's Vasily Airfield and the nearby town where the Russes tried a paratrooper assault to take control. They were stopped and wiped out. The local mayor confirmed it.
8. The destroyed bridge. It was the exit corridor from Kyiv heading west.
PS. I'll keep adding updates here once info is confirmed.
