Honestly, just a mess of a movie that makes zero sense. 👎

Total letdown. It’s such a shame they tried to tie something this mediocre to a masterpiece like The Sopranos. ☕

James Gandolfini was underwhelming here, too. Ray Liotta was decent enough playing that "prison brother" type, but Nivola? Forget about it. He was totally lifeless—it’s like he was actually scared to sink his teeth into a role like this. 🤔

What a complete waste of time. 🙄

Man, that was a tough watch. Look, I don't have a problem with crime stories if I know what I’m getting into, but this one tripped me up. I went in thinking this was going to be the origin story for Tony Soprano—you know, seeing how he slowly gets pulled into the life because of how Dickie raised him. Instead, most of the movie focuses on Dickie, his wife, and the whole civil rights unrest happening back then, plus some subplot about a Black associate working with the mob who wants to run things himself. Like, okay... but what does any of that have to do with Tony? It felt totally disconnected. To me, it just didn't click. The acting wasn't anything special either. Honestly, Gandolfini's son didn't have much to show, though I guess the script didn't give him much room to work with. Either way, such a huge letdown.
