Laura Castillo6 said:Honestly, whenever I find myself staring into someone's eyes for a bit longer than usual, I tell myself I’m just working on my "eye contact" skills. I figure it’s actually decent practice for building up some self-confidence, plus you start to notice how much—or how little—someone is actually present in the moment. Most of the time, when I look at people, I catch this sense of total mental absence; you can just see it in that glazed-over, thousand-yard stare where they've completely checked out of the conversation.

With women, I’ve noticed that holding eye contact for a while can really tip you off to whether they're interested or not. If a woman isn't feeling it or just isn't interested, she’s definitely not going to be holding your gaze for long.

What even counts as being in the present moment anyway? Like, how do you even know if two people are actually on the same page at the exact same time?...

This is just brutal, honestly—pretty horrific, but also undeniably true.

I have this habit of picking people apart—men, women, the old, the young, kids, adults... I just call it being curious. I’m trying to get to the core of who they really are. There's nothing malicious about it, no hidden agenda here.

And how exactly do you plan on capturing someone's "essence"? 😁

With rose-colored glasses. Their whole "essence" boils down to picking out pants colors and cuts, whether they match their shoes or not, how they style their hair—subtle or just totally over-the-top—and all that tacky jewelry... When I love to tear people apart, those rose-colored glasses let you catch their actual vibe, their core, their real deal... it’s like drinking pure liquid gold from a fountain of eternal bliss...

I guess my own essence is pretty colorful, then. Currently eyeing some two-tone trousers from Fresno.

Mine is just this dull, dark gray thing. Honestly, maybe I’m wrong—self-perception isn't exactly a science. When someone looks at you without trying to hide their disgust or anything, staring straight at your... essence... while they're actually just eyeing those weird two-tone pants, they probably aren't being super judgmental. They're just struggling with some weird visual perspective while trying to be empathetic. Trying to step into someone else's shoes—or in this case, their two-tone pants... It's tough, if not impossible, to really grasp someone's outward essence without becoming totally lost in the process of "capturing their being", which usually just ends up with you finding yourself instead...

So, how did you figure out your soul's color?
Does it have a sound, too?

I once saw a woman wearing much fancier pants than those; one leg was purple, the other green. It was an interesting look.

I think mine is blue. When I focus on it, a certain shade of blue starts surfacing in my thoughts.🤔
