Juvenile Gun Laws

So I'm 17 right now, and I was wondering if it's actually legal for me to own and carry around some "non-lethal" gear that doesn't require a permit or any special registration?
I'm talking about stuff like blank-firing pistols, paintball guns, stun guns, and things along those lines.
I'm totally aware there are laws against brandishing weapons to harass people, but what if I just have a paintball gun tucked away inside my backpack?

But what about everything else? Is it all because they fall under the exact same category?

So, it says here that a minor is actually allowed to carry around air guns, which basically means stuff like a paintball pistol.

Yeah, I caught that part, but I’m actually wondering about the rest of it... like, if I head out with the guys on New Year's Eve to mess around with some starter pistols, am I actually allowed to carry those around?

There isn't any gun violence going on here.
