The Green Knight (2021)

The Lord of the Rings is an epic fantasy adventure based on the timeless Arthurian legend. Director David Lowery doesn't exactly break the bank at the box office with movies like Pete's Dragon, A Ghost Story, or Old Man & the Gun, but hey, those flicks weren't half bad, right?
Plus, we get Alicia Vikander and Joel Edgerton in the cast.

Honestly, even if it flops, who cares? Most of the blame really falls on those last few movies dealing with this kind of stuff anyway.

He’s easily one of the better directors we have coming up. That was an excellent trailer.

With nearly 20 reviews under its belt, this thing is sitting at a massive 88% on Metacritic with a 'must see' stamp. Oh man, sounds like an absolute treat 🙂

Just a few more days until the release.

The trailer looks solid. I’m cautiously optimistic that the actual movie will live up to it—hopefully.

The movie's decent. The ending left me a bit lost, but I get the gist of it.

The film is excellent, though I have to admit it didn't fully resonate with me until the final moments when all the pieces finally clicked into place.

Dev Patel is phenomenal in the role

I actually found myself enjoying this movie, I guess. 👍 Though, I can't help but wonder if Gawain shouldn't have given that lord a handjob instead of a kiss, considering what he actually received that day? 🤣

I was thinking of a torrent.

Started watching this at 3 AM, which was a terrible call since I have zero clue what I'm even looking at.

As far as I'm concerned, the film met just about every expectation I had, particularly when it comes to the visual craftsmanship.

Can someone make sense of why Alicia Vikander is playing two roles? And why does he end up marrying that redhead who was headless in that house during his quest? Also, how does the Green Knight belt just switch owners whenever it feels like it? Even the fox makes zero sense to me. Was that scene with the giants just tossed in for the visual spectacle?
