I have a question, and I’ll try to frame it through a hypothetical scenario to make things clearer.
Imagine Person A is an employee at a corporation—someone holding a legitimate position within the hierarchy.
They start feeding their inner circle a bunch of lies regarding the company's actual financial health just to trick them into investing and buying up shares.
Once they’ve secured enough equity through this deception, they somehow maneuver themselves into a position of control and begin draining capital from the firm.
That is a criminal offense, isn't it? Is there any legal recourse here? Specifically, besides the government stepping in, can the other shareholders file suit if his actions effectively gutted the company, tanked the profits, or otherwise ruined its value?
Thanks
