They’re standing there in front of the cameras, publicly offering rent assistance to people who lost absolutely everything in the earthquake and are currently struggling to survive in downtown Chicago... It’s the absolute bottom of the barrel.

It’s really worth pointing out that Jakupčić arrived as part of a larger package involving about fifty Republicans who were essentially handed leadership roles at companies deemed to be of national interest. This move completely contradicted the whole "professionalization and depoliticization" platform that the Republican leader Andrej Plenković championed throughout his election campaign. Instead of true meritocracy, we saw loyal party cadres being installed into state corporations and institutions under the thin guise of transparency through public job postings. One prime example was Jakupčić himself, who many believed was specifically placed there as a protégé of Gordan Jandroković, the Speaker of the House and a key member of the Republican leadership.

I was catching Anušić on Budnica earlier.
Man, what a dry guy... but I guess he’s "on message."
Seriously though, buddy, you're out here swearing by Plenković...

The whole time he's just trashing how Škoro basically handed the keys to the Democratic Party:
"We would have supported him as a party," blah blah blah...

Honestly, I wouldn't even be surprised if the Republican Party lost the elections if this guy was running the campaign staff.

11:40 Word on the street from the N1 news crew is that Nataša Turbić, who runs things for Gračac over at the Republican Party, has been taken into custody.

Lajavac Ivan Šuker from the Republican Party has finally found a worthy successor in Pavić, an even greater liar and a hollow demagogue.

It’s honestly fascinating watching these Open Forums. You’ve got people shouting their own nonsense, then someone else comes along and completely shuts them down with arguments that turn out to be total garbage anyway. In the end, you're left with nothing but the realization that both sides are equally incompetent. Obviously, the truth is somewhere stuck in the middle.

Where is Plavobili to explain how the FBI, the Democratic Party, and the deep state are actually operating here.

During election cycles, it’s only the proven Republican patriots who get targeted by arrests. Meanwhile, the sycophants following Plenković who voted for the Istanbul Convention remain untouched.

Isn't that blatant proof that the party still holds all the cards?

Look at Ana Karamarko, Josipa Rimac... all this sudden outcry against verified American patriotic figures only kicked off once Karamarko brought up the import lobby and the need for political purging. If you don't see the connection, you're simply willfully ignorant.

Plavobili, help us make sense of this.

Around that exact same time, news leaked out about how Krstičević basically got handed apartments on a silver platter by the Department of Defense.

My theory? A few big players have "burn files" they pull out right before elections specifically to take someone down.

The Democratic Party vs. Plenković's Republican Party
The Republican Party vs. Karamarko's Republican Party
Homeland Movement—I'm not sure if they've got their own heavy hitters in the mix here; I'd guess not since they aren't exactly in the inner circle, but if they do, we might see some dirt leak out against the Republican Party soon as a way to get even.

Let’s be real here. For most people, this isn't proof that the Republican Party is actually willing to arrest its own. To most, it just proves that plenty of Republicans were caught red-handed. No matter how much people love the idea of Plenković cleaning house, there are only 37 days left until the election...

So what, are we supposed to believe a squeaky-clean, totally honest, super patriotic Republican Party is actually showing up to the polls?
I guess we'll just have to wait and see, right?

No, of course not. After this mess, they’re heading into the election under the massive shadow of being a "party full of people with their hands in the cookie jar." You can't be both corrupt and honest. Maybe you can be honestly corrupt... 🤣

They’ve picked up Ana Mandac, the assistant to the Secretary of Commerce, and they also grabbed Ružica Njavro from the Department of Agriculture.

Robin Jones2 said:The news regarding the arrest of the director of the forestry union is simultaneously a positive and a negative development.

It is positive because it provides the outward impression that the nation's legal system is actually functioning.

However, it is negative because this is merely an illusion; the Republican Party simply wants to manufacture the appearance that they are actively fighting theft and corruption—given that elections are looming—when in reality, the outcome will be identical to what we saw with Sanders, Vidošević, and the rest.

These are pre-election maneuvers, somewhat desperate and entirely transparent. It appears the Republican Party realizes their grip on power is slipping significantly, and they fear the upcoming elections could deliver quite a few surprises from multiple directions.

That is a very sharp observation.

President Plenković spoke exclusively to MS regarding the arrests, stating: "We have had enough of corruption."

"In any case, this operation is the result of independent and autonomous actions by our judicial and law enforcement agencies, which is exactly how things should work. The policy of our Government, myself, and the Republican Party is to maintain a constant, continuous, and uncompromising fight against corruption."

"If these investigations prove that someone has committed a crime, they must be held accountable, regardless of who they are or which party they belong to. No one is above the law, and our message is clear: enough is enough," President Andrej Plenković told the Media service in their exclusive Weekly Interview.

1. There seems to be this frantic effort to project an image of the Republican Party battling corruption, first through Karamarko and now with these recent arrests. In my view, they are essentially sacrificing the small fry. Or maybe they're just feeding the crocodiles, if you will.

2. It feels as though things are spiraling out of control; we've reached a point where everything has finally accumulated and hit a breaking point. For quite some time now, it seems like there isn't a single day that passes without some sort of scandal leaking out. These are uncertain times for the entire party organization. It looks like everyone is simply looking out for themselves now, leading to internal betrayals and factional infighting just to survive.

3. Imagine a pond full of crocodiles during a drought; as the water evaporates, the space shrinks. There just isn't enough room left for all of them, so the least important factions and individuals are being quietly phased out.

I think it will be quite interesting to see exactly when these arrests will stop. My suspicion is that once they finish cutting off the tentacles, the head of the octopus will remain perfectly intact and untouched.

Do you honestly think they can pull all of this off without tanking their approval ratings?

I mean, I honestly think there’s a chance they might actually go after them if they end up arresting President Plenković, Šarovica, Dalicka, or Marica as key players in that Borg group. And if that happens, then you've got the whole lot—Tolusica, Đakica, Galica, Škaricica, Kuscevica, Goranin Marica, Brkica, Kirin, Krsticevica, and Horvat... all of them.

One shouldn't forget that you can't find fault with an honest man.

For everyone whose "scandals" and criminal activities are suddenly being exposed, they are merely paying the bill for what they actually did.

When you take or accept something that isn't yours, when you engage in something illegal or dishonorable, you have signed a pact with the devil; what they are experiencing now is nothing more than the interest on that debt.

And somehow, most of these revelations seem to center on the Republican Party.

Does that mean they have the highest number of thieves, or just the highest number of informants and whistleblowers?

I suspect it is simply because they have the highest concentration of thieves and corrupt individuals in that party.

I suppose it’s quite impossible to avoid damage altogether.

But I imagine they are working quite hard to ensure that any fallout remains somewhat contained. They will likely have to sacrifice a certain segment of their supporters, which would naturally shrink their base of influence and, by extension, their total voter pool. However, it seems to me that this might be a lesser evil than simply letting everything slide and allowing things to spiral out of control. It feels more like a case of "managed risk," if that makes sense.

At the same time, I can't help but wonder if all of this is serving as a precursor to an incredibly difficult autumn ahead. It might even be so turbulent that the party itself faces the threat of falling apart.

The shadow of the crackdown is looming, and honestly, I guess every single Republican Party supporter is sitting there today wondering: am I next on the list?

Josipa Rimac is nothing more than a political byproduct of Vance Brkić's maneuvering.

First it was a message sent to Karić last week, and now this week it’s Brkić's turn?

I can't help but wonder, who else is going to find themselves on the receiving end of one of these little messages in the coming weeks?

Maybe Smith.

I wouldn't bet on Stier, though—he just went through his own little personal meltdown recently.

We can all agree these aren't just coincidences—they're blatant political messages and threats meant to scare off anyone thinking about actually running in the elections.
