I saw an online comment recently that really painted a clear picture for me... let me quote it here...

Look, it’s one thing to joke about God, priests, actors, or even animals, but suddenly making jokes about women in the context of assault is way too much for all of you. We all know it’s a disgusting reality, and honestly, people who try to justify it deserve to be thrown under a bus, but can we dial back the overprotective attitude in a group that literally has "joke" in its name? end of quote

And where is this actually banned? In the stand-up specials I watch, there are no forbidden topics. Even female comedians are brutal on stage. There are no bans.

It isn't illegal, but the social stigma is definitely there.

It’s interesting how you can find videos of people being killed in the most gruesome ways with just two clicks online, yet finding footage of a sexual assault is almost impossible.

You really need to look into the NoFap movement immediately, because you have clearly spiraled into an extreme obsession with pornography.🤣

That kind of thing isn't really my thing at all, even if it’s clearly a huge obsession for plenty of other people—especially women.
Like I was saying, it’s a strange thing to realize you can find footage of someone being decapitated by a chainsaw, yet videos of sexual assault are often harder to come by. Both are horrific acts, obviously, but I can't help but feel one is fundamentally worse than the other. It's more extreme on every level—visually, audibly, and morally speaking.

Sure, and you're just looking for information. 🙂

Come on, let's be real here—we aren't quite that naive.

God, regarding that whole rape fetish nonsense. It stems from trauma when someone was abused as a child. There is absolutely nothing sexy about it.

But what does the origin of a fetish have to do with anything? If it’s a fetish, then by definition, it’s considered sexy.

Sure, just as sexy as your little coprophilia thing...
I guess you can find plenty of that on YouTube, enjoy.

My profile picture?

I'm sorry if I offended you somehow, but honestly, I don't even know who you are.

Honestly, I think testosterone plays a huge role in humor—for guys and girls too...

Why on earth would you need to know who I am? It’s enough that I know... who you are.

Just go back to the start, take a quick look at the thread, and move on... if you're looking for other kinds of "philias," maybe try searching the Dark Net, because Reddit isn't exactly stocked up on that stuff.

It’s actually tragic how today's youth can't find enough rape videos to properly educate themselves! I mean, nobody gets filmed anymore—it's all so amateur and pathetic... it would be great if someone just uploaded them to Reddit so kids could watch an episode of some trashy reality show mixed with a "how-to" guide on assault, then jump over to some fitness site to work out... and then boom, you'd become the most famous rapist in America. You know, where Kolinda hugs you more than she hugs the football players (and we all know what she's really fantasizing about there... despite all that screaming and scratching)... Thompson might even write a poem about you!!
It's just terrible how much the younger generation is being prevented from pursuing their true ambitions.

You really missed the mark here. You didn't even grasp my point.

And based on your reaction, you probably have quite the imagination... I think I've said enough.

Anyway...
Does anyone have any recommendations on how to actually learn how to be funny?

Not quite. Listen, if you actually care about the reality of women and men being forced into compulsions—specifically the fantasy of sexual assault—it isn't "sexy." It's deep shame, disgust, and a complete lack of pleasure. It's torture. It's pathology. But I suppose none of that is relevant to this discussion.

The funny people I know? They’ve got it built-in. It’s just part of who they are. It’s effortless—they aren't trying too hard, it just radiates from them naturally. 😍

As for the alternative... I have no idea where one would even go to "learn" that. All I know is that the people who force themselves to be witty or entertaining usually end up looking just pathetic and irritating. :/

To be witty, you actually need a soul. People with substance recognize it and laugh. On the flip side, you have the empty, dim-witted crowd that falls for cheap, mindless jokes—the low-brow types, like those hack comedians you see on late-night TV. Mediocrity loves emptiness.
You could basically just listen to actual stand-up comedians, parrot their thoughts and routines, and make a living off the mediocre masses.

Sure, but alcoholics feel shame and disgust too, and that doesn't mean they aren't getting a hit from the booze.
