I just moved some funds from my Chase account over to Wise.
The problem is, I messed up and sent it to a Wise business account instead of my own personal one. I completely forgot to include a reference number, too. All I put in the recipient field was my own name.
Is there any chance this money actually finds its way back to me?
It was an instant payment, so the transfer happened immediately.
Please, I’m in a bit of a bind here and need this sorted ASAP.

Do you think they'll actually refund the payment if they notice the reference number is missing?
Roughly how long does that process usually take?

Right, I didn't even mention this earlier.
About half an hour after the funds cleared, I get hit with an email claiming there was some kind of issue with the transfer.
I hopped into the TW app and pulled up the transaction details.
A menu popped up, so I just verified my identity and had to upload proof of payment—which I grabbed from my banking app.
Then, about fifteen minutes later, I got a notification confirming they’d received everything. It was fine, really, but I’d already started sweating because we're talking a significant chunk of change here—around $2,200.
The email explicitly threatened that if I didn't provide the documentation, they’d just bounce the money back to the original account within two days.

I’m thinking about moving some funds from my overseas account over to my local US bank account using Wise. Right now, I’m working in a country that doesn't have a tax treaty with the States—which is just great, isn't it?—so I'm wondering... is there any chance the US government is going to come knocking and try to slap a tax on those funds once they land?

It goes Home Depot, Visa, FedEx, PayPal, then Bank of America.
I don't see Visa on yours.
For me, clicking Visa pulls up all the info and settings for the physical card.
Where did they hide that stuff on your version?

No need, once I activated my Visa through the web portal, it popped up in the Venmo app automatically. 🤷

Yeah, I had to deal with the same headache. It wouldn't show up on the Google Play Store at all, so I just hopped onto the website, added it there, ran the update, and now I can finally mess around with virtual cards through the app without any issues.

I can handle everything through the app now too, but I haven't bothered updating it yet. No updates available on my end—the last one was this morning (some changes to Venmo), and back then, you couldn't even set up a virtual card.
Btw., my app still looks totally different from that screenshot ironcyclist58 posted.
My virtual Visa shows up on my tablet under Card, right alongside the physical one, not under Bank of America like his does.

I'm still on the beta version, so I completely blanked... maybe that's why.

I’ve been going back and forth with customer support for days now...
I managed to mess up my email address during registration—just a stupid typo, really. But I went through the whole gauntlet: entered my ID, paid for the card, everything is finalized on their end... yet I can't even get into my own account.
It’s honestly pathetic that they can't fix a simple little misspelling.

Heaven knows who they hire to run those support departments...
