Tyler Garcia69 said:How is it that people always "remember" their past as human beings? It’s like, nobody actually recalls being some little creature crawling around in a swamp or flying through the air sucking blood out of other mammals.

I mean, what if we weren't even reptiles, birds, or whatever else before this

Nah, you've got it wrong.
We spent millions of lifetimes cycling through all sorts of beasts before we finally landed in a human body.

We weren't born smart—we basically had to work our way up to intelligence one slow step at a time.

The evolution of consciousness—let's call it "form"—is an absolute law of nature. There are no exceptions.

But hey, maybe you've got a point there.😁

The whole idea of "intelligence" is pretty subjective, though, right?

I mean, who's actually "smarter"—some guy obsessed with chasing wild conspiracy theories and letting them dictate how he lives his life, or some wild animal out in the woods just doing its thing, finding its own food and figuring out how to survive the winter on its own?

I’d really prefer if we didn't drift away from the core subject here, especially since the whole point was discussing past life recollections. Of course, we could easily spiral into endless debates and tangential arguments over this topic, but if we are going to have a discussion at all, it would be far more productive to maintain a single direction instead of just wandering aimlessly, so that perhaps, eventually, we might actually arrive somewhere... 🙂

I actually quite liked what FoundOne said about meditation always being the superior path, because it ensures we receive exactly as much as we are capable of handling in any given moment.

As for my own journey, I certainly won't be obsessing over the same old thing; instead, I intend to keep working and investigating the one singular, most vital question that everyone should be seeking an answer to—which is, fundamentally, who we are. That flash of insight I experienced has enriched my current existence, and to me, that is what truly matters most.

Let’s just leave what’s behind us in the past and prepare ourselves to meet whatever is coming next, armed with the experience we've gained. Krishnamurti famously noted that the seeds of the future are contained within the present—that our attitudes, ideas, and thoughts today are precisely what shape our tomorrow. I am convinced that my experience was nothing more than a glimpse into the miracle and mystery of life, providing a sense of newfound certainty and a fresh perspective for the present moment.
I feel significantly wealthier in the sense that perhaps we aren't just ordinary, material beings appearing on the stage of time at some random interval, but rather infinite beings who simply need to uncover their true potential.

Perhaps that should be the actual direction of this thread: let's focus more on wonder and less on dissection. Let the center of our attention reside in the heart, rather than in the intellect and constant analysis!

Look, even if we set aside survival skills—where animals operate on raw, unconscious instinct that functions autonomously without any self-awareness—humans are still at the top of the evolutionary ladder when it comes to nervous systems, consciousness, and creative potential. The issue is that humans fail to use that intellect and creativity in harmony. We lack that deep connection to the underlying intelligence driving nature because we're too caught up in our own self-made illusions. It’s a uniquely human struggle. But even with all our flaws, an animal doesn't have the capacity we do: the ability to achieve true self-realization at our level of evolution.

Douglas Hall59 said:Lately, during my meditation sessions—even when I’m actively trying to focus—I keep getting this recurring vision of an old stone well sitting in the middle of a dusty desert plaza in some forgotten little town... It isn't even that the visual details are sharp, it’s more that the emotional weight of the whole scene hits me all at once.

Beyond just the well, I see this pale blue moon shining through a narrow window into a completely empty room, and there’s a young girl there, someone for whom I feel this incredibly deep, inexplicable bond.

Whenever this vision comes flooding back, it brings with it this overwhelming surge of affection, a sense of family, and pure love, yet it's always underscored by this heavy feeling of poverty and constant struggle...

A few days ago, while I was meditating, I actually found myself praying for an answer, asking who this girl is to me and why on earth I feel such a profound connection to her. About thirty minutes into my prayer, there was a knock at the door. It was my girlfriend, and she happened to be showing me a photo of her father with his grandkids.

I can't help but wonder if that was actually the answer I was looking for. Has anyone else here ever had experiences like this, and is it truly possible for the same souls to follow us across multiple lifetimes on this earth? Because if that’s the case, I would give anything to finally meet that girl from my visions in this life...

I have never actually practiced meditation, though I suppose I have experienced certain... unusual occurrences, if one could call them that.

When I first met my ex-boyfriend, these strange occurrences began to manifest, though they only appeared within my dreams. I had this one vision where we were both in some rural township, working in the mines over a century ago—we were even wearing period-accurate clothing. There was some sort of war going on, and he ended up saving me; his mother was there too, the exact same woman who is his mother in this life. We all looked identical, and I even had the same hairstyle I wear today. In the end, I managed to escape while he stayed behind, eventually reuniting with his mother on a vast meadow. Looking out at the rolling hills and the endless green fields ahead of us, I asked her if there was any way for us to survive. She simply replied that we would make it, provided we could cross the border out of the ______ region.

Even after I woke up, that name she mentioned kept echoing in my head, along with that image.
I immediately searched on Google, and when the first image finally popped up, it was that exact scene from my dream—that specific view from the top of the hill looking down. I found myself wondering if I’ve lost my mind or if everyone else is just delusional. But I'm not crazy; that place actually exists, it's called that, and that is precisely what the picture shows. It turns out the area is famous for its mining operations from the turn of the last century, and there were conflicts there because of its position right on the border near Finland.

I told you to be smart. 😲😲😲

I have always had this tendency to experience vivid premonitions where I can see exact glimpses of what is to come—the specific clothing someone will be wearing, identical scenes playing out, or even the precise words that will be spoken.

I once had a dream about a complete stranger—an attorney, specifically—including his full name. Upon waking, I decided to Google him, only to discover he was a real person, an actual practicing lawyer.

I once experienced an astral projection where I observed my astral self hovering near the ceiling of my room. She possessed the exact same hairstyle as mine—and since I am quite obsessed with that specific look, I suspect there is a much deeper significance to why all my various "versions" share it.

There is more to consider, though I suppose it is difficult to say who will actually remember it all.
Basically, this phenomenon occurs and persists, though I suppose one can only speculate as to what truly lies behind it.

I knew from the very first moment that he was the one for me; there was this immediate sense of connection, an intuitive feeling that we were cut from the same cloth and that he held a truly unique place in my heart. However, if one looks at this through a more long-term lens, I suppose being with someone because of a bond from a previous life—or even just within this one—might simply suggest that you are caught in some kind of unfinished karmic cycle.

Nicholas Ward5 said:Man,
I tried regression once, just went in with an open mind and zero expectations.
But honestly? It totally caught me off guard how intense those emotional bonds were with people I was seeing—kind of like what you’ve been talking about. One of them turned out to be my sister in this life, plus a few others. I went through two different scenes. In the first one, I was a guy, maybe 45 or 50, white, rocking a mustache, living somewhere in the Midwest. It was me and my family in a house, wife was prepping some kind of big Sunday dinner, maybe around 1800? Just a huge farm, pretty dry soil, and this heavy feeling of hard work after a long day, plus just how much I loved my wife...
The second scene was somewhere like Tibet or the Himalayas. Me and my kid, a little boy maybe 5 or 6, looked Tibetan. We were poor but happy, cooking up some porridge in this little mud hut in a tiny village. That feeling of loving my child was just everything. Probably sometime in the 1900s.

It was wild, man. Honestly felt more real than real life.

Who did you go to for your regression, and what is the actual experience like?

I have read claims that it might cause brain damage.

You always seem to have different experiences, whereas mine remain remarkably consistent... 🤷

So, I was thinking about some of these theories floating around, and honestly, it makes a weird kind of sense—what if we aren't just spinning in this same circle of souls because of all those messy, unfinished karmic ties? Like, sure, maybe we're stuck together because of old business that never got settled, but what if there's a more purposeful side to it? What if we’re actually circling back to one another just to act as a sort of cosmic support system, purely to help each other navigate and lighten the load of these crazy lifelong lessons we're all forced to learn? Isn't it possible that we're basically just celestial study buddies helping each other pass the ultimate test?

It’s kind of like guided meditation—you just lie down, get totally relaxed, and let go, whatever happens. 🙂 It lasted about forty minutes or so. I went because I wanted to figure out the catch regarding a specific person, and I told her that right at the start.

And boom—I was thrown straight into the deep end of some situations. The regression worked.
Don't know if my brain is fried or anything,😁 but honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by the whole thing. It wasn't like watching some trippy movie or seeing flashing lights; it was more like an emotional reality experience, if that makes any sense.

As for why you always look the same—maybe it's just because you had a mix of dreams and actual memories.

Once a person hits that stage of conscious inward regression—think of it as a spiritual highway where you’re actively navigating through the subtle and mental bodies rather than just the physical one—there’s no turning back. You can't slide back down those evolutionary rungs once you've climbed them. However, there is a theoretical possibility of a total mental collapse, regressing all the way down to a state of rudimentary consciousness. This is only possible within the specific range of powers an individualized soul can wield and potentially misuse. While that kind of breakdown is technically possible, it’s such a freak occurrence that it’s basically just a rare curiosity of nature.

It’s incredibly rare—almost unheard of—for a soul that has reached a human level to actually regress back down to the state of a lower mammal. Once you've ascended to this stage, stepping backward in the evolutionary or spiritual ladder just doesn't happen under normal circumstances.

Does anyone ever just "skip" millions upon millions of evolutionary links at any given stage? No. Not even close.

Just another illogical Kali Yuga theory...
Why would an advanced being like a human ever reincarnate into a lower form?
It’s always just a way to condemn someone and toss them into hell—telling people they'll burn forever or become animals.

The reality is this: every being is constantly evolving within circumstances tailored for their own growth. That’s where God’s mercy actually shows up.
If a being does things that seem "monstrous" to a more advanced being, it's just because they don't know any better; they're acting based on their own level of consciousness. There's no need to judge anyone or send them to hell.
God isn't out there punishing people; everything just follows the law of cause and effect. Nature or God doesn't punish—they provide the best conditions for development, which is the whole point of life: progress and growth toward divine consciousness.

The whole process is automatic, providing the optimal environment for evolution. It makes zero sense for a developed human being to suddenly drop down into some animalistic existence...

And please, stop citing the Vedas or Srimad Bhagavatam as if it's absolute fact. Who knows who wrote, edited, or copied all that stuff through the ages? Now everyone just parrots it like a bunch of mindless sheep.

Look, you can move forward, or you can slide backward. It's that simple.

If you kill someone just to grab their cash, you’re acting exactly like a predator in the wild, and yeah, you're basically hitting the reverse gear on your evolution. But if all you're doing is eating, sleeping, breeding, and defending your territory? Honestly, how are you any different from a dog?

Real progress happens when you actually gain spiritual insight—that's the only way you truly level up and earn the status of being "human."

Every impression we collect in our causal body eventually demands to be worked through and balanced out. In that sense, both "positive" and "negative" experiences carry weight when it comes to true liberation. Honestly, it’s often easier to let go of the "bad" stuff than it is to stop clinging to being "good," because at the end of the day, the mind creates these extreme categories of good vs. evil that don't exist in the way we think they do. That doesn't mean human suffering isn't real, of course. In everyday life, we definitely need those distinctions, but on a spiritual level, the goal is to move past those extremes entirely.

I don't know, I have never really messed with meditation; I am simply not that type of person nor do I have the patience for it, which is why when this started happening to me, I was like: Dafuq 🤔 , it just happened out of nowhere, while others spend a hundred years trying to reach that state using various techniques.

I don't know if it was a mix of dreams and memories; I was definitely sleeping and dreaming, but whether I actually "remembered" something within a dream, who knows.

So, let me get this straight—if someone jumps you in an alley, is that "bad" or just "neutral"?
Would you even care? Just take a slap to the face and go right back to sipping your Starbucks?

If there's no such thing as good and evil, then morality is just a joke without a punchline.
And if morality doesn't mean anything, then there's nothing left to push us to be better people.
