This question is primarily aimed at those in the 25 to 30 age bracket.

Even though today’s generation is coming of age in a completely different landscape than previous ones, maybe we shouldn't overthink the planning process too much—after all, life has a way of flipping upside down before you even realize it, doesn't it?

Do you, specifically, have set goals for when you hit that 25-30 mark? Where do you see yourselves based on a five-year plan? I'm looking at this from the perspective of someone who finished college and is now navigating that phase where career, family, and trying to actually enjoy life all collide at once.

Have you sat down to crunch the numbers regarding income, saving for a home, or just general lifestyle costs—only to realize you can't travel as freely as someone with a significantly higher net worth?

We live in a world where everything is instantly accessible, and everyone seems to be chasing a lifestyle that is far more extravagant than what is realistically attainable.

And really, should a serious adult at 30 already have their entire life mapped out through 35, or is it simply a matter of playing the hand you were dealt?😛

You really think things just happen by accident, like it's all just "fate" or whatever?

Not me, but you’d honestly be shocked by how many people actually believe 😉

Just love, nature, and all that good stuff... everything else just falls into place eventually. Years pass, skin color doesn't matter, none of that stuff counts. What actually matters is the color of your soul.

I don't really have any big goals or plans, I guess I'm just hoping the future brings enough good vibes and treats 🤣

I had them once before, and I still have them now—it’s just that everything moves at a much more deliberate pace these days. But does it matter? Not really. I might have succeeded in one endeavor while still facing the uphill climb in another, but isn't the point simply that there is progress? That things are moving, evolving, and slowly, steadily, coming to fruition? 👍

Yeah, but I wish it weren't the case.
We can set all the goals we want, but life always finds a way to throw a wrench in those plans.😁

I honestly wish I could just live my life without all these massive plans and expectations hanging over my head.

If you honestly believe that family, career, and money are the absolute peak of what you represent to the universe, then you don't even need personal boundaries. Building your life based on the narrow little box society tries to shove you into—where you just aim for the extremes of their pre-set spectrum—is nothing more than wasting your life. It’s not like there's an easy alternative, but I'm just saying.

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I guess there's nothing more attractive than someone who actually follows through on their plans.

🤣

Ont: I don't really fall into that category. Thank God that's over. $30 is perfect. Maybe $40 would be even better. 🙂

I’ve got these hazy visions of where I’ll be in ten years—maybe even twenty, honestly. But truthfully? I mostly just focus on what’s right in front of me, maybe a two-year window. That’s about as far ahead as I can really look without getting lost in the weeds. And since I don't really stick to one rigid "end goal," my plans kind of evolve as I go.

Since I’m checking off today’s goals specifically to set up my future (one step at a time), you could say I’m technically planning about a decade out.
That said, I'm totally fine with things shifting—whether it's my own interests, the vibe in the US, or just how the world is spinning—and letting my plans pivot accordingly, even if my core passions stay the same.
Planning is great and all, but being able to roll with the punches and make the most of whatever situation you're in? That's the real key.

Honestly, the only real goal I have left in this life is hitting the big one with the Powerball. 🤣
