Poor lady. She’s out here trying to be someone's best friend, but they just keep blowing her off and only want to hang out whenever it's convenient for them. 🍿

I totally get where you're coming from—I’ve always been a magnet for those kinds of exhausting people.
The latest example? This friend calls me up for coffee only when they have some drama to vent about or just want to brag. Seriously, imagine me recently looking for a friend in the States because I literally had nobody to hang out with—someone to actually listen to where they've been, what they've been doing, or who they're hanging out with. And yet, they never even think to invite me along to any of it..
Lately, though, it’s been nothing but constant complaining. I finally realized I was basically providing free therapy every other day, so I decided to shut it down. I told them, "Look, I don't have time to sit here forever, I'm in a rush,"
They got offended and haven't reached out since. Maybe they found a new victim.. 👍
Honestly, it's better to be alone than to deal with everyone...

Only when it suits her, right? Totally playing by her own set of rules. "Personal friendship"... my foot.
"Let's hope" the lady doesn't work at Comcast... 🍿

Classic. It flew right under the radar during the critique phase!🙏

I’m being difficult. I honestly just wish we didn't have to talk or see each other a hundred times a day. 🕺

Look, you aren't "terrible." You are simply pursuing what you need—your own rhythm, your family, and your peace of mind. Because of that, there is absolutely no way you can be considered a bad person. In my view, having an open, honest conversation would be a perfectly acceptable way to handle this, and you could easily manage all of that with a smile without hurting anyone's feelings.

Of course you're terrible. You're playing games with friendship. That’s just not how it works. End it. Just tell her the truth and deal with the fallout. It doesn't matter what kind of person she is. What matters is who you are. Better to have no friends at all than to be the kind of friend you're being right now.
