It’s actually quite concerning. 🕺

By the way, this is happening in San Diego.

So what, we’re looking at a massive concentration of traitors here?

We need to alert the NCAA and the Democratic Party immediately to investigate these kids and their parents.

silentraven6 said:Our fifth graders are being forced into this thirty-minute religious studies session on days when they already have six hours of classes. To make matters worse, they scheduled the elective German class during a different block on those exact same days, so my kid can't even make it to soccer practice—it’s either stuck in class at 8:00 AM or 2:00 PM if they're on the morning schedule.

So the schedule goes: school ends at 1:10, then there's religious studies at noon, a free period, and then German right after.

I've already submitted a formal request to withdraw them from the program.

Wait, how is dropping religion going to help you make it to practice? Or are you planning on pulling them out of German too? Because if German is at 2 PM, you're still stuck.

In my experience, I know at least two kids who ended up dropping their elective language class entirely just because the schedule clashed with their sports practices. It’s such a shame. Isn't there some kind of option to join a different 5th-grade class for those lessons instead, just to find a better time slot?

Honestly, nobody even brought that up as a possibility when I called to complain about that nightmare of a schedule.

Ham, my kid has never done religion classes.

Oh, obviously she's dropping German—God knows. ☕
It feels like someone's schedule is always clashing with German class, and then German just ends up getting totally screwed over.

I honestly thought she was planning to pull him out of religion class because she was complaining about it happening right in the middle of the school day, so I figured her kid was actually enrolled in religion. But looking back, it turns out he wasn't even doing religion, he was just stuck in German, which is the class they're dropping him from anyway. Honestly, German is always the first thing on the chopping block since everyone would rather be out there earning a paycheck.🤣

You guys are being malicious, and honestly, I just don't have the patience or the energy for this kind of drama.

Look, as much as I stand in solidarity with my colleagues, my kid always comes first. Period.

If you want to start a fight over elective classes, go ahead—take it to the school board meetings or the local news. Actually, you should be the ones leading the charge, since you're the ones stuck working hourly shifts because of how these positions are set up.

I’ve always been in favor of letting people choose—whether it’s German, religion, or whatever else—so let's see just how much Americans actually believe in God.

The Vatican agreements are still on the books, and they basically dictate that anyone who qualifies for an equal electoral slot has to be squeezed into the morning schedule.
Since it looks like Biden isn't going to sign those treaty amendments that would actually ensure my German language credits get slotted into the regular semester—well, I guess I’ll just sit here and vent to myself while I deal with the kids pulling out of their classes.

Play the hand you're dealt—lead with faith and love for your neighbor when dealing with the teachers...

Look, I get it, but honestly, you guys were being pretty malicious, so I just decided to give you a taste of your own medicine.

Loving your neighbor is all well and good, sure, but let’s not pretend it applies to someone who gets kicked out of religion class (especially if the teacher is already looking for any excuse to cut the session short) or someone who doesn't even show up to church on Sundays...

🙂😁😁 I suppose I should ask, what exactly happened with the day bread celebrations?

Looks like someone decided to invite a local preacher into the school again for a blessing of the bread, and naturally, there’s always someone whining about it.

I mean, if our history textbooks actually claim that humans created the heavens, then I guess we really shouldn't be surprised by anything at this point.😁

I actually signed the consent forms for both my kids this year—they finally introduced that option recently. My oldest is in the choir, so she wanted to perform, and my younger one was just dying to see what all the fuss was about. He told me the priest was spraying water over the bread, and at first glance, he honestly thought he was being sprayed by a microphone! It took him a second to realize what was actually happening 🤣

Since religious folklore isn't really part of the regular curriculum anymore—it’s just that one hour of special performances where you have to opt-in—things at our local school are pretty manageable. Though, if I'm being honest, I still don't quite get why they bother with those extra activities during school hours, but hey, other groups do it too. In previous years, there were these massive productions involving food drives and whatnot, often without any prior consent being asked. Back then, we’d just tell our daughter to head straight home after class to skip the whole show. I distinctly remember feeling so incredibly relieved to be tucked away at home, pretending to be sick just to avoid the chaos 😁

Around here, things are pretty much centered on church life—though honestly, there isn’t even a parade for Harvest Day or anything... we didn't have to bake a single thing or show up with any offerings, either 🤔

I suppose they just don't feel like there's room for all that circus atmosphere in their world 😬

Luckily, we don't deal with that kind of nonsense here. The teacher just tells anyone who's interested to make something with the kids, then everyone just dumps their glue sticks on the table and spends the whole day making a mess. 😁
Why don't they just eat the glue sticks and take them home?

They haven't even asked us about it yet, but thanks to Kutle, we found out they consider us some "unhinged" family of atheist trash. 😁

That was such a beautifully articulated point from Mr. Kutle. It’s honestly quite rare to see someone from those certain "circles" express their opinion with such refreshing public honesty—especially since it's us atheistic, irrational types who end up footing the bill for them anyway.
