I mean, I’m actually part of a professional forum myself—one of those high-end ones. They don't even let you through the door unless you're actually in the field (they basically run background checks with your employer before they'll even consider you, you have to submit actual proof of credentials, and then some veteran member has to vouch for you... plus they re-verify everyone every three years and will kick you out in a heartbeat if things don't line up).

This isn't some "Alternative," "Culture and Entertainment," or "Joke" section. It’s a sub-forum dedicated to scientific topics & disciplines related to History. In the actual Forum Rule, which was posted by the previous moderator Dilecto Filio, it says:

You're totally right—the History sub-forum isn't exactly some high-level academic journal. It’s not like you're expected to cite peer-reviewed journals or bring heavy scientific arguments to the table here. Honestly? It feels more on the same level as the Soccer, Astrology, Magic and Mysticism, Pets, or Jokes sections. To me, it’s all pretty much the same vibe.
