Way to go, Donna. Dealing with a group of nine isn't really my style, but it was great watching you step up and hold your own with such a brand-new crew. It’s especially impressive since most of them are flying solo right now, just hoping they can build something meaningful alongside you.

You were probably just watching this from the sidelines. I don't really get the whole "nine people isn't my thing" attitude—that feels a bit pointless to me. Personally, I love being out there, meeting people and socializing.

I don't need "something," I need the whole experience.

Donna, you should definitely come along next time. It’s honestly a blast. Since your ex-husband was part of the group too, I really think he’s moved on and found someone new (just not me!). Men just seem to bounce back so much faster than we do sometimes.

Yeah, I was watching from the sidelines.

It's a shame you enjoy going out, because I represent the exact opposite philosophy. We aren't going to see eye to eye on this one.

Thanks to everyone who showed up. I managed to stick it out for about an hour, but honestly, I had to bail because the music was just unbearable. Look, everyone’s got their own taste, but that wasn't for me. Catch you all at the next get-together. Peace.

Music wasn't really a big deal since it wasn't blasting through the speakers at {that little local diner}

If I can chime in with a non-organizer's opinion—just as a random bystander, really—I thought the atmosphere was actually pretty solid. Even the music wasn't blasting my eardrums out, so we could actually hold a conversation without shouting over it.
