Whenever I’m walking through the city, I always make sure to stop by Bryant Park for at least a little while.👍

Sure, it seems like everyone’s preferred meeting spot is always right in the middle of downtown. I’m looking at a two-hour commute one way just because the organizer happens to live practically within walking distance of the destination. And then they act surprised when people don't want to show up in a heatwave or when it's hitting 100 degrees out. Give me a break. I’m staring down four hours of round-trip travel on stinking, cramped buses and subways—hardly the ideal way to transport a bike.

Well, even for hiddenwalker30, it's just a short ride to Grand Central before having to deal with the trek to Central Park in this heat.🕺

Note: most of the buses don't even have AC (at least not the 🤣 ones I deal with)

It’s not even that far for me; I can make it to the main terminal in thirty minutes, but the real issue is how infrequent the buses are.😛

It’s not actually that far for me—I could be downtown in about thirty minutes—but the real headache is my bus schedule. It’s pretty unreliable around here. 😛
My apologies, I completely misread that post:

No, I can't make it—Central Park is just way too far out of my way.I’m actually starting to pack this Thursday. I'm heading out to see my boyfriend on Friday for a trip to the beach—finally! 🎉 Believe it or not, I actually ended up in Creek. 🙂
Just an observation. 🕺

They actually stripped the curtains out of the trains ages ago... just another way for them to cut costs 🤣

That's just too far for me. If I head over to the Brooklyn Bridge, it’s already a forty-minute trek, and then I still have another half hour to get to Central Park.
It would be wonderful if all the buses ran toward the main hub, but unfortunately, most of them seem to head straight for the river instead.

I’m well aware there's no AC on those trains, so hats off to you for traveling such a long distance just to hang out with us.🙂

Alright, okay, let's get this moving. Let's settle on a new spot for us to meet up. Honestly? Whatever you guys decide works for me,

Look, Central Park is a beautiful spot, but considering where most of our members actually live, I think it would be smarter to focus on somewhere closer to the outskirts rather than right in the heart of downtown.
We could potentially aim for a Saturday afternoon hangout at Central Park, maybe around 2 or 3 PM.

So, does Millennium Park sound like a good plan for this Friday?

Alright, we'll dive into all those little details tomorrow once we see how things shake out. Just taking it one step at a time, you know? Easy does it...

Tomorrow is already Thursday...
Don't put off until tomorrow what we can get done today... 🧐

Anyway, I think Millennium Park works for everyone (at least this time around). Could you all let me know if meeting up at 5:30 PM near the weather station (oh memories ...) works for you? Or would you prefer something earlier or later?
Personally, I'm flexible since my work schedule isn't tied down right now.

I'll just go with whatever the group decides 🙂

The main thing is that people actually show up and don't flake on hanging out 🧐

Carl Rivera43—thanks for being a decent human being and not taking this personally. I had to go nuclear because, unfortunately, when I’m being soft, you don't seem to take me seriously (I guess you prefer it when things get aggressive! 🙂) 🤣
We could meet up somewhere nearby for a chill walk, or head up toward the zoo for some snacks that are half the price, or maybe hit Millennium Park... or better yet, let's meet near that one spot where they measure everything under the sun—that way we're halfway between everything and convenient for the people arriving by train!

Wait, what "weird landmark" that measures everything? 🤔

A thermometer, a barometer, a weather forecaster... you name it, it’s probably sitting right there in Central Park.

I’m bringing my guitar along—we’re gonna throw a massive party so we actually end up with 100 people there instead of just a measly 10.
