Looking for that one guy on here who’s always hunting for "troublemaker" girls—the one I was chatting with for a bit. Hit me up and set things right 🤣

I'm looking for someone to chat with—maybe a guy or a girl who’s feeling pretty isolated right now or just struggling to find their tribe. You know that feeling where your social life is basically non-existent? Yeah, that. I'm 33, so let's skip the games. Hit me up if you're in the same boat. :-)

I’m looking for a friend to join me at AMC Theatres either this coming Friday or the next one. I'd say I have a pretty laid-back personality, though I can definitely be quite talkative once I get comfortable with someone. Why Friday, you ask? Well, they have that great deal where you get two tickets for the price of one. I’m more than happy to cover the cost of the tickets, and honestly, we don't even have to worry about popcorn if you're not into it. We can figure out what movie to see once we connect. I’m really just hoping at least one person feels brave enough to step out, meet someone new, and enjoy a movie together. 👋

Chicago girl, late twenties, looking for some cool people my age!
I’ve been feeling a bit isolated and, honestly, pretty melancholic lately, though a stimulating conversation or decent company always manages to pull me out of it. I'm going through a strange phase where I feel like I have so much to offer and a genuine hunger for connection, but for a variety of reasons, my social circle has shrunk significantly. I'm hoping to meet someone outgoing and easygoing through this.

Looking for someone to talk to, hang out, grab coffee, or just hit the town...
Over the last couple of years—for a bunch of different reasons—I’ve lost touch with some close people, and I just can't seem to bridge that gap back to a real friendship level. I have people I see every now and then, but they aren't those "true" friends—not the kind I want or the kind I need.

I miss having that one person you can call at 3 PM or 3 AM—someone who will actually listen, even if they don't say a word. I miss having someone who can tell when things are off, even if I claim everything's fine—someone who might just show up at my door with a bottle of wine without warning, or who makes time to hang out no matter how busy life gets...

Look, I get it—real, honest friendships don't just happen overnight. They take work, time, and genuine effort, but I’m still hoping there's someone out there feeling this same way.

24 years old, Chicago.
🙂
P.S. No diagnoses here, I just get lonely sometimes. 🙂

I don't know... hard to put into words what I'm actually looking for. Posted an ad on Craigslist a few days ago if anyone wants to hang out... though everything I wrote is pretty much up in the air.
Basically, if you want to talk or just chat about something, feel free to hit my inbox. 🙂
27, from the Chicago suburbs, into all the usual stuff young people like (mostly).

Hey.

I'm from the Memphis/Indianapolis area, just turned 22. My social circle basically fell apart after childhood for a bunch of reasons; ended up alone, I guess. My only friend is off at some university far away, so he's basically just an internet friend at this point.

So yeah, I've been perpetually lonely since I was fifteen, without making a single real connection, except for people online who kept me from losing my mind completely. God, I can't do this anymore.

I don't have—or maybe I just don't know how to—create situations where I actually spend enough time with someone to get to know them. Just small talk and then everyone goes their separate ways... that's all I've managed in seven years. Nowhere to go except some suffocating club where I don't belong. I looked for a specific topic for this, so if nothing else, any advice would be more than welcome.

Anyway, getting to the point.

I'm looking for a friend, guy or girl, whatever. Someone I could eventually share everyday life with, you know, like real friends do. Maybe someone with some shared interests so we actually have something to talk about. That's the dream, obviously; I'm not expecting that right away.

Someone to grab coffee with, someone to dive into existential, philosophical, or personal stuff with. Someone who likes overthinking and talking about ideas and visions—someone who gets what it means to be a dreamer, but also someone I can just talk nonsense with and laugh. Someone to go hiking with, or hit up an event, or travel, or just sit side-by-side playing games or lazily watching a movie.

I don't even really know who I am, since I lack that reflection in other people's eyes—mostly because I don't have those people in my life to see how they perceive me. I'm just a nerdy, open-minded type interested in all sorts of random things. I guess I can say I lean toward optimism and hope, but I definitely see the darker side of life too. 🙂

If any of this resonates, I don't know, shoot me a message. It's easy enough to be friends online and see if it works out.

And I should probably mention, I've got a whole arsenal of psychological issues, so I'll probably find some common ground with someone there.🤣

Looking for someone to actually talk to. Honestly, I don't care how old you are or what your deal is—that's not what matters here. I’m just looking for some real internet friendship where we can sit back and talk like adults about life, our problems, or whatever random shit pops into our heads. Not really looking to meet up in person or anything—just keeping things digital. So, if you're down, hit me up.

Greetings.

A 28-year-old guy from Seattle. I am looking for someone to exchange messages or talk with (male or female). I might also be open to meeting up eventually—perhaps catching a movie at AMC Theatres, grabbing coffee, going to concerts, or just taking walks.
I won't claim to enjoy everything the typical American 🙂 crowd likes, but I have plenty of interests; I enjoy reading, photography, attending concerts, seeing movies, and discussing various topics, ranging from film, music, and literature to biology and geopolitics...

If anyone is interested in a conversation, please feel free to reach out. 🙂

I'm a 30-year-old woman, and since I've been out of work since August, I've got way too much time on my hands... honestly, doesn't matter if you're a guy or a girl, as long as you actually want to hang out and aren't planning on rotting on your couch all day. We could go for a walk, grab a drink, hit up a trail... maybe even head out on the town if we vibe. Just a heads up, I'm pretty guarded. If I'm quiet, don't take it as me being stuck up—it's more like I'm reading the room and testing the waters to see who you really are before I let my guard down. I can't stand shallow small talk about nothing or people just obsessed with themselves... I want someone with actual substance, an idealist, someone who does things because they love them, not just because they feel like they have to. I'm not looking for a pen pal either. Let's chat for a week or two max, then meet up in person. If we click, cool. If not, we go our separate ways.

Also, I don't care if you're an introvert or an extrovert. It's all about that connection

My inbox is open 🙂

It’s been at least six years since I last checked in on these forums—quite a long hiatus!—but something finally nudged me to jump back into the conversation. I’m a young guy living in New York City, and honestly, I’d love to start chatting and getting to know some neighbors from across the western border. Feel free to reach out 😛

I’m a working professional based right in the heart of NYC. 43, though I’ve been told I still carry a pretty youthful energy 😉 if anyone is ever up for grabbing a coffee or perhaps a beer at a local pub somewhere... just looking to see where things go, maybe find some genuine friendship...

Hey, looking for a group that smokes, plays PlayStation, and can actually hold a decent conversation.
Women who don't nag too much, and guys who aren't aggressive—just want to feel like one of the guys.
I'm a woman. Probably more chill than anyone else in Chicago.
And I like things a little different, a little weird. Usually, I just loathe 🙂

Hey there!
Male, living in San Francisco, currently a college student.
To kick things off, I’m really just looking for someone to chat with online and see where things go.
Is there anyone out there who's into psychology, sociology, or just loves dissecting everyday life? I'm mostly just looking to kill some boredom, vent about whatever's on my mind under the safety of anonymity, and just general deep dives into the weirdness of being alive.
Nothing heavy or intense, just friendly and casual... at the end of the day, we're all just humans trying to figure it out, right? 🙂

Hello, I am 28 years old and currently living in Cleveland.
To get straight to the point, I am looking for a female friend. Specifically, someone open to getting to know one another and eventually meeting up in person. In due time,

I am not offering anything groundbreaking—just the classics. Walks, grabbing coffee, hitting the cinema, or perhaps just passing the long, cold winter nights by sharing tea, sweets, and movies at my place or yours. If you struggle with social anxiety or tend to be more introverted, that is perfectly fine; I have my own quiet tendencies as well, so it is no issue at all.
As long as you aren't a danger to society, you pass my initial test. 🙂.

So, there it is. That is the short version.
