Donna Nguyen3 said:Hello,

I'm 29 years old and, unfortunately, I don't have any close friends to hang out or go out with. It might seem a bit pathetic to look for this kind of connection here, but when you're a naturally introverted person dealing with life's ups and downs, you end up in my situation... If you don't get it, you don't get it. I'm looking for someone from the Indianapolis area, though I'm not actually from there myself. I suppose this is enough info, if anyone even decides to reach out.

It’s not pathetic at all and I totally get how you feel. Too bad we aren't close by!

Roger Gonzalez9 said:Girl, early twenties, living in Washington, D.C. Looking for a female friend, maybe up to 30. I definitely vibe more with introverted types. I’m really into people who actually have a sense of humor and don't take themselves too seriously—though they can flip the switch and be serious when life gets heavy. I want someone empathetic and loyal. Honestly, even if you're going through a rough patch right now, as long as you haven't lost your spark or your optimism, we'll get along. Just looking for someone I can totally be myself around without feeling judged. Someone who's just over all the fake, superficial people in life...

Hit me up in the DMs for anything else 🙂

Hey, I wanted to reach out, but it says your inbox is full so I can't send you a message.

Hey, we’re also on the lookout for some new friends! Anyone up for grabbing coffee? We're pretty flexible—anytime after 5:30 PM on a workday, or maybe an early bird session between 7:00 and 8:30 AM. On Sundays, we're basically free from sunrise until late at night...

Reading through all these posts, I’m honestly sitting here wondering how on earth I’m supposed to write my own—lol... but hey, let’s give it a shot.
I prefer to keep things simple. Basically, I’m looking to meet someone who just genuinely enjoys meeting new people—someone who values good company and real conversation. My hope is that as we get to know one another, we can both be completely open and speak with total honesty about anything and everything.
Who knows? Maybe we could actually improve each other's daily lives and serve as that spark of motivation needed to make some real life changes.
But we won't know unless we give it a chance. So, if there's anyone out there in the San Diego area or somewhere nearby, feel free to reach out.

Hey there 🙂
So, I just hit the big 3-0 recently, and honestly, I’m just looking for a girl friend to grab coffee with, go on walks, catch a movie, or whatever else sounds fun—basically anyone 23 or older. I’m pretty low-key and introverted by nature, so it usually takes me a little while to really come out of my shell and get comfortable. I much prefer keeping things lighthearted and upbeat; I tend to steer clear of heavy, depressing stuff because, frankly, it just drains my battery. So, yeah... feel free to reach out if you're down to hang out!

Adam Moore12 said:Just letting you know:

I’m looking to connect with someone who actually understands what anxiety and panic attacks feel like—someone who can talk about them in the past tense. Or at least someone who has managed to claim some small or large victories over them.

Whenever I talk to people who struggle with the same things I do, I find myself constantly picking up on their new symptoms and diagnoses. I’m incredibly sensitive to that kind of energy, and honestly, it’s not helpful for me right now. Eventually, I’d love to be the one sharing my own experiences and helping others. But right now? I don't even know how to help myself. I get a little something out of psychotherapy—learn a new tool, vent a bit, feel "normal" for a moment—but it’s always fleeting and feels somewhat artificial. I pay a couple hundred dollars a week just so I have a place to cry. I get that crying isn't free, but considering the cost of living in the US right now, I don't exactly have money to throw away 😁 on weeping. Besides, it isn't healing me. So far, the only real "medicine" I've found is through healthy, quality connections—romantic, platonic, or even just the bond with my pets. That steady flow of affection and connection is what keeps me going, and that's what I'm striving for.

I am searching for an authentic human experience to be shared with me (either here or eventually in person). I want to hear from someone whom life has pushed to the edge, someone fighting every single day just to stay afloat, haunted by OCD, paralyzed by fear, or terrified of the dark...

Someone vulnerable and highly sensitive.

But also someone strong. And smart. And happy!

Maybe someone who has studied CBT (or something similar) and mindfulness; someone who found peace through music or being out in nature; someone who recovered after building solid relationships; or maybe someone who was saved by yoga...

I am looking for survivors 😁.

If there is anyone out there who wants to share their story, I promise to listen intently, with an open heart and ears, and to offer my sincere thanks.

I catch myself daydreaming about how this could be the "start of a wonderful friendship." Maybe it's because, in my past, I've mostly sought closeness with people who have a similar temperament to mine (and that kind of temperament seems prone to emotional or mental burnout. Hm.) I often feel like a walking sponge. Sometimes I feel like a handful of sand that could make a great risotto, and other times I feel soft and dreamy. I don't know the perfect recipe for friendship, but perhaps it starts with a mutual affection that ignites in both people simultaneously and stays alive.

Regardless of how picky I might seem, I keep an open mind and heart. I'll check the boxes for self-awareness, curiosity, and good intentions (values I hold dear myself).

Aside from a few diagnoses, I am a functional member of society, even if my thoughts are a bit jagged around the edges.

I sleep, I eat, I work, I read, I listen, I walk, I love.

I am grateful to wake up every day next to the person I truly believe is my soulmate.

Now, I'm just dreaming about a kindred friendship or two. The mere thought of it makes me happy 🙂.

I believe I have "friendship potential," and I sincerely hope I find my people. I hope to find someone with whom, years from now, I can sit over a warm cup of tea and look back on this attempt to find "one wonderful friendship" 😁.

I realize I've rambled quite a bit about myself, but through communication, I try my best to listen to the other side, provide context, understand, and stick to topics that feel meaningful. I'm not expecting miracles—just a few little wonders 🙂.

Anyway, back to typing!

That same 😁 Shoot me a DM.

Male, just looking for someone to chat with and build a genuine friendship... ideally a fellow gamer—though I’m really just looking for single people so we can actually dive into deep discussions about how to clear those tricky missions rather than dealing with any unnecessary drama

I am also more than happy to connect with anyone who loves movies and TV series too

As long as you're down to type back and forth

Hey there
So, here's the deal: I'm a 35-year-old guy looking for a photographer to hit some spots with and shoot together. Doesn't matter if you're male or female, I just don't want to be shooting solo. XD
I recently moved to Columbus, so it would be great to find someone local since I don't know many people around here yet.
I head down to New York City occasionally, but I'm not in NYC all that often.

If you aren't into the photography side of things, we could always just grab a coffee. I can be pretty good company once you get to know me. haha😁

Hey everyone. I’m looking to find some company out in Savannah, Madison, or maybe somewhere nearby... just looking for people to grab coffee with, catch a movie, hit up the theater, go for walks, or just talk about whatever comes to mind, I suppose. To all the ladies and guys out there—regardless of age or whether you're managing any specific diagnoses or neurodivergence—feel free to reach out. 😉

Hey everyone. 👋

I guess I’m at a bit of a crossroads in my life right now, so I figured I’d come here to find some people (male or female) around my age—25—for some decent conversation. I’m pretty much down to talk about anything, whether it’s just what you had for dinner last night or those heavy, deep questions about the meaning of existence. 🙂

I tend to be a fairly laid-back person; I don't take myself or my life too seriously, and I try to stay open and curious about others. I'm not easily offended, and I definitely enjoy a good joke or acting a little foolish now and then. I usually get along best with people who have that same vibe. 🙂

I value things that actually last, so I'd really like to meet people who are interested in putting in the effort to build long-term friendships. 🙂

What matters most to me when hanging out with people is that they have basic social skills—you know, being able to hold a conversation, treating others with respect, and just generally knowing how to interact with people. 😎

Feel free to reach out if this sounds like you. 🙂

I’m looking for some folks {between 25 and 53} living in Washington, D.C. or the surrounding areas who might be up for treating me to a morning coffee once in a while... and after September 15th, I’ll definitely be returning the favor!

Anyone up for a chat? About pretty much anything... though honestly, I’d prefer if you weren't too "normal" about it—feel free to shoot me a DM with your number,
I feel like crying, but my tear ducts have basically run dry at this point...
I'm getting older, so I guess time is just relative anyway...☕

@Carl Rivera43 Is there any interest in an actual meetup for Facebook users in Austin, or does nobody have the initiative to get it organized...?
