I’m turning 35 soon, and I currently live alone and work in a small town out in the Midwest. For the last fifteen years, my life has mostly been a revolving door between studying and working in Washington, D.C., and back here to the Midwest, splitting my time equally between both

Life hasn't exactly handed me any easy wins from the start; I even have a scar on my face from a C-section 🙂. I lived with my mother, who unfortunately passed away about six months ago. We both dealt with schizophrenia, though mine is pretty well managed compared to hers, which was much harder to control, especially since she struggled with several other health issues before COVID finally took her. But, well, it's just been me for six months now, working as an assistant for a construction firm. I’m actually quite content with that part of my life—the pay and the working conditions are solid.
