Greetings... I am currently in the market for a machine dedicated solely to gaming—nothing else matters here—and I’ve set a budget for the tower itself at around $9,000, though I suppose I could stretch it to $9,500 if the components truly demand it... For the monitor, I can set aside up to about $933. I plan to finance the computer through monthly installments, whereas the monitor will be a cash purchase; as for peripherals, I already have everything I need.
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you might have... thanks!

CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 box
Motherboard GIGABYTE B450 AORUS ELITE
RAM PC-24000, 16 GB, GEIL EVO Spear, DDR4 3000MHz, kit 2x8GB
SSD 1000.0 GB Intel Series 660
Case ANTEC NX210, MIDI, ATX
GPU PCI-E COLORFUL iGAME Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER Advanced OC-V, 8GB GDDR6
PSU 560W, LC POWER Silent Giant GREEN POWER LC6560GP3 V2.3, 140mm vent., 80+ Silver
Monitor 31.5'' AOC Q3279VWFD8, IPS, 75 Hz, 5ms

Total $3781 Best Buy

Built this at Best Buy since the prices are the same whether you pay cash or use financing.
If you look elsewhere, you'll probably end up with an RX5700XT, which is roughly 5-10% slower for the exact same total build price.

The monitor is a pretty obvious no-brainer, though I'm open to better suggestions if anyone has them 🤔

I might eventually look into switching to a different GPU vendor—maybe someone offering a 3-year warranty—but I’d definitely swap out the motherboard. Based on the Hardware Unboxed tests, that Gigabyte board runs a bit too hot around the VRMs for my liking. For instance, check out this link for the B450 gaming K4; it actually works out to be even cheaper.

I’d also throw in a Freezer 33 or 34 for cooling.

I didn't realize the motherboard could be swapped out easily. That's definitely doable.

As for the graphics card, the options in that link are a total disaster. This GPU is overpriced, and the next option, a Gainward 2070S, is almost the same price but only comes with a 2-year warranty.🤣

You could go with what swiftfalcon89 put together if the GPU warranty is a dealbreaker, but then you're paying about an extra hundred bucks for everything overall. 🕺

It’s a mile more expensive, sure, but you’re getting a 144Hz monitor out of the deal. Honestly, that extra bit is money well spent, and it still fits right within his budget 🙂
