Maybe it’s just my own bias, but it feels like men find it much easier to step into a hero archetype they can actually relate to—or one that lets others project onto them. Those roles are just clearer, more straightforward to present. For women with long hair over thirty, though, it seems like the options mostly boil down to being either a washed-up rocker or a total troublemaker...

Maybe long-haired guys are trying to look less intelligent and more emotional on purpose. It’s like they think women might find a high-functioning tech expert too intimidating—someone who eats perfectly, plays tennis, tracks every calorie, hits the gym daily, plays in a band, and picks up new languages just by skimming a grammar book in an afternoon. Someone working a massive paycheck at a place like Google or a research lab at MIT... almost like a robot. But I could be wrong. Maybe for most of them, it's really just about being emotionally immature and unkempt...

Yeah, for a woman, a man like that can be genuinely intimidating. Especially if he stands over 6 feet tall...
Long hair tends to attract women more during their younger years. When they're still driven by their hearts, they go for the idealists, the revolutionaries, the sensitive types, and the creative souls who just won't conform... that kind of guy usually has long hair... 🙂

I have a lot of respect for anyone who does their job with true professionalism, even if it’s just cutting hair. It seems like you have this deep drive for order... everything has to be perfectly organized, like a high-end pharmacy. Men walking out clean-shaven, groomed, and perfectly styled. I have some relatives with Virgo placements, and it feels like that exact brand of perfectionism. It can be exhausting at times, but you have to admit that when it's done that way, everything runs like a Swiss watch. There's no room for that sloppy, "wing it as you go" attitude you see in some parts of the country... everything just works exactly the way it should.

What do you think...? 🤔 Look, I’m a fan of the three-day stubble. I’ve always been a bit wary of perfect symmetry, sharp angles, or hair that looks too polished. But this isn't about me, so... 😳

Technology will eventually catch up to this too. I can already see someone inventing—or maybe they already have—a smart bra that monitors temperature, adjusts humidity and warmth based on the surroundings, and transmits environmental impulses directly to nerve endings, essentially becoming a second skin. It’ll have built-in computers or some kind of neural network woven into the fabric to collect data and beam it via an antenna to a central computer. That computer would then send signals to tiny micro-motors hidden in the seams to lift or lower everything for the perfect look and feel. Women will love them so much they won't even take them off at night, and some tech entrepreneur with his Silicon Valley startup will make a fortune, reinvesting it into a smartphone app called Titbook, where women's chests across the globe become networked into one massive cyber-entity with the world's largest database of the global Acquis Rotoplotaire.

I think women are already networked in far more sophisticated ways. And it seems that network is a huge motivator for the other side...
You finally helped me clarify the vision of an artist I thought was just obsessed with breasts but now it feels like there's much more to it...

It's sad that we'd want to shear you, while you're busy dreaming of tubular-alveolar dominance...

Uhm, now I'm starting to sound like Woody Allen in one of his movies... But, it matters that a man has something to motivate him in life, even if it's the unification of all of humanity's mammary potential. Marx started with the proletariat and he went quite far.

Exactly...
Woody is always welcome 🥳

Just when you reach maturity and pull the broom out of your backside, you're old enough to use it as a cane. : wisdom:

Having a broom in an awkward place isn't exactly a prerequisite for reaching maturity.
But whatever. Sounds wise 🙂

In the end, maybe what looks like balance from your perspective is actually just weak motivation or physical frailty preventing someone from breaking their status quo. For instance, a man with high blood pressure can't afford to get worked up because he might pop a vessel, but that doesn't mean he's become spiritually enlightened. He's just afraid of dying. : rofl:

🤣
I’m certain that wasn't the kind of balance I was talking about.
I meant the kind where you don't need a stick up your ass just to get things done...

🤔 Almost everything I said was just me poking fun at my own thoughts. Even my replies go through that same mental loop, filtered through your associations. I thought we could just laugh at the whole thing and play around for a bit, but we've both become way too serious and sincere... if we keep this up, you'll lose all your hair, and I'll be stuck tying mine back in pigtails...

I drifted a little too far off-topic.
My apologies for that.

I'm not sure how to make it up to you, and I'm pretty exhausted, so I'll just leave this here:

👋

I suppose I could argue that most women with short hair eventually just become older aunts whose hair looks fried from a lack of estrogen and collagen. They cut it short to look more serious.

Interesting. I'm actually quite a bit taller than 5'11". 😁
I heard this theory about long-haired idealists from some younger women, probably in their early twenties. As they approach thirty, they decide stability is everything; they want a mature man because immature types are unreliable and won't provide for a family. Fast forward to their forties, and they flip the script. Suddenly, those same sensitive boys and revolutionaries are back in style—usually after they've spent years with a serious professional who built a career on their back, only to be dumped for a younger version of themselves. By then, they’ve usually secured enough in a private nest egg to fund whatever "revolutionary" they fancy next. I suppose I've become too cynical, drifting into outright sarcasm. I'll stop.

I'm a fan too. Even with women. They don't sport beards, obviously, but that three-day stubble works. 😳

A truly "interesting" artist. Back in my college days, I was drawn to those who wrote essentially pornographic lyrics that could still be analyzed from a literary perspective. It’s fine, provided it doesn't become an end in itself. This whole "tubuloalveolar dominance" thing... sounds like a nod to Tubular Bells. Mike Oldfield. Don't go thinking I'm as old as Richard Branson, though; I wasn't exactly spinning those records back then.

Posting this just to spite that guy with the three-day stubble who thinks he’s so special.

Women love their broomsticks too. They fly them around like untouchable stars when they're young. Then they get old, and if you mention the house isn't swept, they just swing the damn thing at your head. 😬

Sure, being broken isn't a prerequisite. But it’s interesting how they try to screw you over while you're still young—it makes them easier to manipulate. That's just how the game works. The old guard sits back and collects the cream, while they shove a broom up the younger generation's ass and tell them to act like big shots. You only reach maturity once you finally pull that thing out. Of course, there's always the chance you never let them get close enough to try in the first place. 😍

Dana Brooks3 said:That's an interesting perspective. As a woman, I never would have thought of it that way or made those connections...

👋

So you're emo too... I should have seen it coming.
Glad to know I haven't become too sincere or serious yet. 😳
Apology accepted, thanks. Sweet dreams (if you're actually sleeping, given it's the weekend); they say REM is the most intense phase before waking up... 😍

I could probably make the same argument—that all those women with short hair are just older ladies whose hair has thinned out from a lack of estrogen and collagen, so they cut it short to try and look more serious.

But you won't. Even if you haven't realized I'm just caricaturing certain female stereotypes and shifting my tone to provoke both the worst in myself and the best in you... which is actually what I've developed a weakness for in your vividness, to the point where I don't care if I embarrass myself publicly : o

Interesting, I'm actually quite a bit taller than 5'11". : D
I heard this whole story about long-haired idealists and emotional types from younger women back when they were in their early twenties. Once they hit their thirties, they start feeling like they need someone mature, because the immature guys are unreliable and won't take care of a family or provide stability. But by their forties, they flip the script and go right back to those sensitive boys and revolutionaries—especially after they've spent years with a "mature" guy who built a career on their back, only to dump them for a younger version of himself. By then, they've usually tucked away enough of a nest egg to afford any "revolutionary" they want. Ugh, I think I've become too cynical, bordering on outright sarcasm, so I'll stop...

Well, it's fine. You have to clear those kinds of images from your head sometimes, just like I do with old, weathered things and stuff like that.
Otherwise, they just stay stuck in some corner of your consciousness, making real self-reflection impossible.
Nobody is immune to those weaknesses. Not even really tall people.😳

I like it too. Even on women. They don't grow beards, obviously, but a little three-day stubble... : o

I know you shared that sincerely with me... but my brain just isn't capable of processing that information at all. 😳
This is certainly an "interesting" artist... Back when I was in college, I used to be drawn to writers who essentially wrote pornography but could still be studied from a literary perspective. It's all fine until it becomes its own end goal. Tubuloalveolar dominance... reminds me of "Tubular Bells," rings a bell... Mike Oldfield. Just don't go thinking I'm as old as Richard Branson and used to listen to that back in the day...

Seriously, it does remind me :-) The bells immediately bring to mind

I won't think anything. Besides, I can see you're young at heart, and that's what matters.

Women love brooms too. When they're young, they fly on them like untouchable little stars, but once they get older and worn out, they'll whack you over the head with them if you tell them they missed a spot while cleaning the house. : zubo:

Modern women don't even keep brooms in the house 😬
True, a broom isn't a requirement... But it's interesting how they try to shove it down your throat while you're young, just so they can control you more easily. That's the tactic. Older women stay in the background scooping up the cream, while they push the broom at the younger guys and send them off to act like big shots. Only after you pull that broom out can you actually become a man. Of course, there's always the chance you didn't even let them shove it in "in the first place." : cerek:

It's true. A person can easily be led down that path. There have been instances, though perhaps it’s just a form of closeted masochism. 😬 There are two kinds of imagery. One is the stereotypical kind—built on clichés to numb people and keep them from facing reality. The other is meant to break that numbness, like a parable designed to provoke a reaction.

Those who spoke through honest imagery nailed their pain to crosses. Every sincere picture is just objectified suffering—driven in like a nail, only to be ripped back out of consciousness. It’s what allows for self-criticism, the realization that human nature is essentially pain. A person is just pain walking through this world on a cross, laughing at themselves and the world alike. Why wasn't Jesus shown laughing on the cross? Did he and Judas strike a deal, ensuring the betrayal just so the world could be saved? That would make him more Dionysian, more Nietzschean. *Amor fati*. A sense of the tragic, existing beyond good and evil. But even then, could the world actually be saved, or would his tragic death simply seal the fate of a world that remains, quite frankly, too human?

One theory traces this all the way back to the story of Job. There’s that old joke about him. Job asks God, "Why?" and God just tells him, "There’s just something about you that really gets on my nerves." 😁 It’s that same distraction Della17 mentioned in her story—those long, coconut-oil-slicked locks that had tantra students losing themselves in crude physical pleasure instead of seeking actual spiritual truth. Job had everything; wealth, health, the whole works. It was almost too easy. I suppose God acted like some tantric master, forcing His student to face total misery and nakedness just to reach enlightenment. But then again, man isn't truly destitute when he still has his spirit.

Back to the story of Job. Essentially, Satan manipulated God into revealing his tyrannical nature. That was the trick. Sure, Job eventually gets rewarded for his loyalty, but how can the Creator wash the stain off his angelic face—acting as that one seraphim or archangel representing the divine countenance on the Tree of Life—while sitting up on a throne belittling His own creation? The Devil played a strong hand there. Had things ended there, God would have had no choice but to join him in hell. So, God had no other option but to descend to Earth and test things out on His own human skin. He didn't just come for humanity; people were already human and could have been saved by His omnipotence regardless. He did it for Himself, to avoid sinning His divine soul. He outmaneuvered Satan by letting him enter Judas, causing him to act like a piece of trash. Judas wouldn't have done it on his own; it’s clearly stated that Satan entered him, and then he simply "did what had to be done." That was his way of making amends for Job. The only thing is, it's not certain God actually achieved a total victory. According to all four Gospels, despite His divine omnipotence, He began to scream agonizingly on the cross, even boasting to His own divine beard about leaving Himself down there to die like a dog. Then He asks for forgiveness for those around Him because they "know not what they do." As if He didn't create them to do exactly what they're doing, and as if He didn't know perfectly well why they were doing it. 😁

Nothing about this is simple. Sincerity comes from pain, bluntness comes from vulgarity, and you’re still a lady. Only someone like you would suffer more because of who they are.

Deeply sad, somehow, but I like it. These days, young people around here hear "bells" and immediately think of weddings, traditional families, or heading to Sunday service. But hey, "o tempora, o mores"...

😁 This is clearly some guy thing that I just don't get 😬

So you're an emo too... I could have guessed.

Truly, thank you too 🙂

Witches today drive around on water vacuums that their husbands occasionally use as sexual aids while she's out getting her hair done or shopping at Target. Instead of black cats, they have computers, using them to chat with the devil on internet forums or browse new things to buy. This complicated modernity... nothing beats a good old-fashioned broom. And when a woman hits you over the head with a keyboard, you have to buy her a new one immediately instead of the broken one, because she needs it, and she doesn't care about a cracked broom. Just put on a new handle and it's fixed.

Those who maintain long hair retain their intuition, using a sort of "sixth sense" to detect approaching enemies before they strike.

Does hair length dictate spirituality? Baldness often correlates with weak spiritual depth. Take Johannes Kepler, Stravinsky, or Lyndon B. Johnson, for instance. They possessed sharp intellects, certainly, but lacked intuitive strength. Great spiritual icons are rarely depicted as bald. Look at Jesus.

http://vataworld.wordpress.com/2013/...ervous-system/

It's because hair acts as an extension of the nervous system, feeding constant data back to the brain. Some women claim their nipples serve a similar sensory purpose, noting that bras actually hinder their intuitive perception. If anyone has had similar experiences, I'm listening.

I honestly think this is just some American intellectual and spiritual scam designed to mislead the world. Hair acts like an insulator for your sensory nerves and your connection to your surroundings... Proof? Warriors never wore bras. I’m betting it’s all about those shaved heads. Ladies, lose the bras!... I've got some pretty interesting personal experiences too...

I wouldn't be so certain. This whole thing with the Indians is likely just pure mechanics. Even you can feel the wind in your hair, but a well-trained Indian could probably detect even the slightest breeze and pinpoint its direction. When an attacker approaches, they create air movement—turbulence—and if someone's sensory organs are properly developed, those hairs on the head can pick up on it. A breeze hitting a spherical object won't give much info about an approaching threat. It’s possible that hair also registers other shifts, like static electricity, air ionization, or even the attacker's electromagnetic field, transmitting it all back to sensors in the head. Some animals have specialized sensory hairs for exactly this purpose. Hair isn't an insulator that numbs sensation; it's an insulator that sharpens and refines it.

Shaved heads only offer an advantage in direct chest-to-chest combat, much like metal bras would for women. Bras actually provide physical insulation, unlike hair. Large, sensitive breasts with dense nerve endings act as a liability in close-quarters fighting—even the term Amazon stems from "a-mazo," implying a lack of breasts, as they allegedly removed one to better aim a bow. However, losing hair might aid in sensing an attacker through air displacement or static electricity. The same logic applies to male anatomy, though being smaller, those areas are easier to protect during a clinch than female breasts, which remain largely defenseless.

Even the Mongols had that topknot. Likely for the same reason. A way to keep one sensitive spot protected from a direct hit in combat.

Shaving a bald head likely induces a state of sensory deprivation. The scalp becomes one singular sensation. It’s similar to how nerve endings concentrate on specific areas of the anatomy, losing the local distinction between the forehead, crown, or temples. It is a reduction—like a tongue that can only taste bitterness, losing the ability to distinguish sweet, salt, or sour. Senses are typically distributed symmetrically, much like the cardinal directions, adapted for our environment. Reducing them to a single sense results in one-dimensional thinking: forward or backward, advance or retreat. This narrows the tactical maneuvering space. A bald man might struggle to conceptualize a flanking maneuver or a strategic withdrawal. Take General Patton, for instance; he understood how to maneuver around an enemy rather than just charging head-on. Without those distinct tactile inputs, a bald person is biologically limited to a frontal assault or a total retreat. Furthermore, concentrated nerve endings crave stimulation. One could imagine these sensitive areas being artificially isolated by metal shields; the lack of regular input would likely drive the owner mad with phantom sensations, or trigger subconscious commands to the brain to seek stimulus that isn't there. It impairs reasoning during survival situations. It is similar to phantom limb pain following an amputation. People with hair, or women without restrictive bras, experience more complex levels of stimulation. A bald man or a woman in an isolating bra is reduced to a binary existence: the former to simple movement, the latter to a fanatic urge to remove the garment. This diminishes selectivity in choosing partners, which ultimately degrades the quality of relationships and the genetic health of a population. Someone already mentioned that selection is vital for any meaningful connection, and modern society continues to degenerate by obstructing natural choice through artificial means like IVF and other destructive forms of procreation.

It's the same reason bodybuilders do it; they swap them out for well-developed chest muscles. 😉

Man, that reply totally shook my confidence. Still, I prefer it shaved or at least neatly trimmed, rather than growing all the way down to the elbows and knees. There’s just no Zen in that...

That's why he told them to shave it all off. The moment their hair and beards stopped being just a simple thing to maintain and started becoming an ego-driven asset, they should have just sheared themselves.

It’s the same deal with your old man and his full head of hair today. He’s gotten a little too proud of it. It might be time for him to get back to reality; shaving seems to have become far too much of a luxury for him.

😲 what the...
cobalt blue on an anvil at night... wow.

As for the Krishna followers and other "Buddhists"—they tend to be naturally hairy, much like people from certain parts of Africa. If they only shave once a year, their hands and legs end up looking as smooth as a child's, without a trace of hair. Just plain.
I mean, what kind of man is a man without a mustache? lol
Though, personally, I think those hair-obsessed guys are more attractive when they're clean-shaven—rough-shaven faces that show they actually had something to shave, unlike those hairy Buddhists. Then they can keep the rest of the fuzz under control by trimming it down. The only exception is a long, powerful braid, freshly washed with conditioner and coconut oil, flowing like some Gladiator or a wild, proud warrior.

Asians aren't Christians. Whether it's Gaudiya Vaishnavism or reformed lineages like ISKCON, we're talking about Hindu traditions with a global footprint. Buddhism also traces its roots back to India.

Indians, on the other hand, are quite diverse depending on the region. Often, they look more like Arabs than Chinese people, and honestly, I think they can be even hairier than we are.

True enough. But what about the rest of the body hair? Can head hair be compensated for by mustaches, sideburns, beards, or even pubic and armpit hair, not to mention nose hair and other follicles? I suggest we introduce a Body Hair Index (BHI) to mirror the BMI. It would clearly determine if someone leans toward high spirituality, low spirituality, or just stays average. Of course, one must distinguish true spirituality from hirsutism, which remains an undesirable condition.

The conclusions are pretty much on point.
just waiting for our buddy manianko to weigh in and give us his take.
oh, wait, one tiny little thing...
he'll need to master basic reading comprehension first...
but hey, if a six-year-old can handle it, there's an 80% chance he can too, right? looks doable...☕

Long hair is pretty much essential if you want to actually acquire any real knowledge; otherwise, you just end up looking like some Indian circus performer. 😁

Take Gurdjieff, for instance. He was probably wiser than all those unshaven, unkempt yogis combined. 😁

The shaman Ouspensky used to smoke while drafting "Novum Organum." Apparently, even Hitler was into him—calling him a "wise man" and bringing him up whenever he slipped into a trance. The guy preached waking up from that mindless, robotic existence, aiming for total mastery over oneself and the body, much like a professional ballet dancer.
