So, I’ve been seeing a psychiatrist for a little while now. The specific diagnosis isn't really the point here, but in short, I'm dealing with some anxiety and depression. My doctor always seems to pick up on how tense I am during our sessions, and she suggests that this tension stems from a lot of repressed sexual energy. She also points out that it manifests as a certain level of aggression. Since the last time I was actually intimate with a woman was two years ago, I’m honestly at a loss as to how to resolve this kind of tension. It’s not like my current mental state makes it easy to make any real progress in that area of my life either.

Maybe she's just offering to lend a hand.☕

Maybe you should ask her how she’d go about getting rid of it—I mean, does she have any specific suggestions or thoughts on the matter? It might actually be beneficial for both sides if we approach it this way ☕ 🤣

I don't know, she isn't really offering any suggestions; she’s just stating the obvious about how things currently stand.

You’ve got Pornhub, you’ve got your right hand, and honestly? Just go for it.

I’m just trying to picture my therapist telling me I’m all wound up because of "suppressed sexual energy."🤣
The only way I could possibly wrap my head around that...🥳

Now that's interesting! Makes me wonder if that's even how psychotherapy works?!
A therapist "knows," or senses, or guesses the root cause of some issue
and then they just lay it out for the patient—they state it as fact—without the patient
actually realizing it themselves or connecting the dots to their own past experiences.
If that doesn't click, or if it gets totally misinterpreted in a desperate attempt to
fix things—to "heal" oneself...

It doesn't work that way—or at least, it shouldn't—but he didn't say anything about seeing a psychotherapist; he specifically mentioned seeing a psychiatrist. ☕
