A bit late to the party here, but here’s my take:
What I actually wrote was that there is beauty in productive suffering, meaning when you’re "climbing the mountain" to reach a specific goal. If fasting serves a purpose or improves your well-being, then it’s a worthwhile struggle. Think about a woman in labor; she’s in immense pain, but she knows exactly why it’s happening. To me, suffering itself doesn't have an inherent label of "good" or "bad"—it’s the objective behind it that gives it its meaning.

Man, if you guys could hear what we women are thinking. I remember asking this one girl back in the day, and she just looked me straight in the eye and told me I was always the second choice. Just the perpetual runner-up. 🤣
