Andrew Barrett4 said:Well, there’s some other news floating around if you care: the Keiser Report
JP Morgan is headed for a crash, which means it might be time to go grab some silver
Jamie Diamond is even predicting silver could hit $500

Twitter really is something else, isn't it?

So the conspiracy theories are alive and well! 😂 Now JPM has twice as many shorts. They're way more vulnerable now🙄

Add the fact that gold is in a massive shortage and there's just no stopping this!

I mean, I just... absolutely adore this guy.
It’s for all you long-term thinkers out there, you lunatics.
There's still a case for Gold / Ron Paul

ha ha. Man, you actually cracked me up. Way more than this troll ever could. And just a heads up—it's 600 dollars, not euros.

🤦

The sheer volume of news out there is so massive that anyone can find themselves reflected in one of these extremes. Or maybe somewhere in the middle, depending on how you see things.

Personally, I find this constant finger-pointing at others just because they choose to manage their OWN assets differently to be pretty foolish—and honestly, a bit narrow-minded.

People can play whatever role they want to believe in, but reality doesn't care about your delusions 🙂
Unless you're looking through a funhouse mirror, but that’s a whole different conversation 🙂

😁

It’s not like I just placed all my bets on a single asset class.

I suppose you could argue that by doing this, I might be passing up on some massive gains, but then again, I'm also hedging against a total wipeout. At the end of the day, it feels more like a personal philosophy regarding risk tolerance rather than some definitive market forecast.

As for any moves that turn out to be mistakes along the way—well, I trust that if I stay sharp and keep a close eye on things, I'll be able to cut my losses before they get too ugly.

Look, everyone is entitled to an opinion, but this constant need to tear someone down just because they're heavy into metals (or, conversely, aren't) feels less like a debate and more like pure, mindless trolling.

That's certainly possible, though we'd likely be looking at a timeframe of one, two, or even more years.
Essentially, this is a prime opportunity to bet on a correction.
Of course, that assumes you have the patience to wait out the market for years.

For what reasons?

It’s not a prediction. We saw this exact thing back in the 80s.

Just tell me one thing: where exactly do you see someone like Paul Volcker operating in the US today? And even better, where do you see an economic landscape remotely similar to what we faced back then? Are you seriously suggesting the US is in the same boat it was in the 80s? You have to consider the scale—think about how many players were driving that bull market in the 70s and 80s compared to the actual number of participants moving the needle right now.

You’re talking about an era when the USA didn't have even a fraction of the debt it carries today.
Back when we actually had export surpluses.
When interest rates could jump to 15% without anyone blinking, thanks to those two factors alone.
Back when Chinese buyers and the rest of the world weren't allowed—or able—to hoard gold.
When the economic landscape was much healthier.
When Western central banks held way more gold than they do now.
Back when all the gold mined during the year actually hit the open market (unlike today, where major producers like Russia and China won't let a single gram leave their state vaults).

I suppose you think all of that is just a reason for gold to crash to $600.
Maybe so, if the dollar undergoes a massive devaluation similar to what happened with the lira in old Italy. 😂

Look, I hate to be the one to burst your bubble here, but I honestly have to disagree with you on this one because $650 is roughly $760 in our currency, and if you actually look at the numbers, the average cost for a mining company to pull a single ounce out of the ground is sitting somewhere between $600 and $800, and that's not even touching on the overhead like employee wages, profit margins, or Uncle Sam's tax cut, so what you're basically suggesting is that these massive mining corporations are going to start selling their gold at a massive loss just for the fun of it, which... yeah, doesn't seem very realistic to me.
