So, we all know Gregorian is that group that takes pop and rock hits and flips them into Gregorian chant style tracks.

Well, when they announced their upcoming show in Indianapolis, this came out:

"The Gregorian group doesn't actually perform Christian Gregorian chant; instead, they do covers of pop and rock hits infused with heavy Satanic elements. Their costumes might look monk-like, but they aren't monks. They claim to film their music videos in churches and monasteries, but those are really just sacred spaces turned into museums. If you look at the concert poster, you can see who's actually showing up, since the band members are making Satanic hand gestures in the photo," stated a press release from the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Just another classic example of the narrow-minded, homophobic attitudes you see coming from the Catholic Church here in America.

Or is it...?

Homophobic? I don't see how that connects at all.

Gregorian essentially performs songs that lean quite heavily toward New Age territory, so I find myself wondering where exactly you’re seeing homophobic attitudes here, and what that’s even supposed to imply—that every single person is obligated to be fond of gay people and accept it as some universal norm? Is it simply the case that for you critics of Christianity, anything the Church expresses disapproval of is automatically branded as backward? If you don't attend church, I fail to see why you feel compelled to monitor its every word; after all, nobody is forcing you to adopt those views. You and others on this forum really ought to grasp that the Church, much like any various civic associations, is a constituent part of society and possesses a legitimate right to express its positions. The moment you totalitarians encounter an opinion you dislike, you immediately label it "narrow-minded." Personally, I agree that Gregorian is anything but a Christian group, which I suppose makes me a regressive, right-wing zealot in your eyes.

Man, half the media absolutely loathes them, the whole system is rigged, and here we are wasting time on this nonsense.

PS
Gregorian Yeah, they sound good, and those remixes are pretty interesting, but honestly, after three or four tracks, I’m just over it.

They’ll be hitting Indianapolis soon enough, so we’ll finally get to hear what they actually sound like!
I suppose I don't want to go dragging the church through the mud here, but I honestly don't think this is some satanic cult whose whole purpose is to glorify anti-religious nonsense.
I'm planning on going to the show mostly because I'm curious to see how rock songs in that particular style come across; it's certainly not like I have any intention of showing up just to worship the devil or anything like that.
