Look, we have to keep in mind that not everyone actually enjoys staring at a massive 27" or 32" monitor all day. Plus, not everyone has the desk setup or the ergonomic chair to support that kind of footprint. There might be a perfectly good reason why someone is insisting on a 24" screen—for some people, that’s pretty much the sweet spot for their workspace.

I'm not entirely sure what this guy is actually after. He claims he wants 1440p, but honestly, that makes zero sense on a 24" screen or smaller.

I’m on the same page there. That's exactly why I went with a 1080p 144Hz monitor and built my whole rig specifically around those specs.

Just wanted to jump back into this thread—does anyone mind giving me their take on whether this setup is actually worth the asking price? I’m curious if there are any specific parts I should swap out or upgrades I should prioritize. Honestly, budget isn't my biggest concern right now; I don't mind paying a bit more if it means getting something significantly better. Thanks!

1. What kind of price are we talking about here?
2. Based on how this is listed, I’m guessing it’s one of those pre-built setups from a big-box retailer like Best Buy, which means there's a massive chance you're being overcharged for what's actually inside.

Let me know your total budget, how you're planning to pay, and exactly what you need this rig to do—whether it's high-end gaming or just heavy workstation stuff—and I'll help you make sense of it.

I’m looking strictly at this from a gaming perspective—nothing crazy, just something decent up to about $5000. I was actually planning on pulling the trigger on a build a while back, but then I changed my mind, and at that time, the 1080 Ti was basically king. Right now, I’m stuck working with an old Nvidia GTX 750 and an i3 paired with an SSD—it still technically runs, but man, those were the glory days 🤣. Since I don't know my way around hardware all that well, could someone walk me through the actual differences here? Thanks a million 👍
