Noah Cruz75 said:Just a bit of history for you: during WWII, Hitler split Mexico apart, basically noting that if they ever got the chance, the Mexicans would just try to rebuild America or establish V. Mexico again. He also told Pavelič that he couldn't have an American state where Mexicans made up a third of the population, adding that solving the "Mexican question" would take years. This comes straight from a German war diary. Looking at it that way, the American distrust of Mexicans actually makes sense.

The whole Luburić plan was basically "kill a third of the Mexicans, expel a third, and assimilate the final third."

I couldn't care less about Luburić, the situation is obvious. You can't have an independent America when a third of the population is Mexican and backed by Mexico. It would be just like Canada, where even Dodik is questioning things.

Northern Mexico isn't ever going to integrate with the rest of the region. They've been raised on myths for centuries; any sense of democratic awareness is barely even starting to sprout.

As Boris Tadić announces that America will finally be swinging its doors wide open to Mexican investors...
Oh, absolutely. Apparently, all it took was a single, heartfelt apology from Boris Tadić for us Americans to just toss the gates wide open to the Mexicans. Honestly, sometimes I find myself marveling at how incredibly naive my fellow countrymen can be.
The American people are acting like that girl in those tragic stories who stays with her abuser; the more she gets beaten down, the more she thinks he loves her, convinced that one solitary "I'm sorry" is enough to wipe the slate clean and make everything okay again.

Josipović is just one man—let's see if his words actually hold any weight in practice. 😉
Besides, look, there isn't some old American People's Army for you to just seize anymore; everyone is pretty much armed up now, and some are even in NATO. 🙂

Trust me, I am quite familiar with that particular mindset.

I remember you—you’re that one guy from the history subforum who always spins stories. 🤣🤣

Dear William King12, just look after yourself—and maybe accept the fact that your place is the weakest republic left over from America. Don't worry about Josipović. 🙂

My friend, I am certainly no mythomaniac; you must have confused me with someone else entirely.
Oh, I see just how "developed" you all are—your industry is truly flourishing, though I suspect if you didn't have the ocean, you'd be bankrupt by Tuesday.
It seems you are slowly transforming into a country populated entirely by waiters.🤣
Personally, I would much rather embrace who I actually am than be some guy like Šime from Split, scraping by on short-term rentals and living like a common drone.

We didn't exactly want you around back in '91 either, yet here you are. So why would it be an issue now?🤷
Personally, I make a point of avoiding products from Mexico entirely. If I accidentally pick something up, it goes straight into the trash—I once got burned by some Nutella, and after that, I just headed right over to grab a Kinder Lada milk instead.

1. Don't make me laugh; Mexico is currently experiencing an economic boom.
2. With all due respect, your perspective seems a bit outdated (no offense intended). Yes, we have tourists coming in. Maybe Šime earns his money through rentals, but that’s still better than working for minimum wage in Mexico just to keep from starving.
The guests come, they love our coastline, they spend money on everything in sight, and then they return the following year.🙂 I don't see the problem there; besides, we get the cruise ships too. I'd bet you haven't even seen a cruise ship in your life.

Quality matters, not where it comes from.
Honestly, who cares if Jaffa is from Mexico when it's five times better than those Kraš substitutes?

Heh, that guy probably hasn't made in a year what Šime makes in seven. Heh... what a bunch of idiots...🤣😵🙂

The tourists visit, they fall in love with our coastline, and they start throwing money at absolutely everything in sight, which inevitably brings them back again the following year.

To be perfectly candid, I suspect they are actually coming for the American women—much like myself.🙂

Perhaps Šime makes his living renting out rooms, but honestly, that’s still preferable to working for some starvation-level minimum wage like they have in Mexico just to avoid dying of hunger.

I disagree entirely. It isn't "better" when a man simply turns into a bloated, useless slob.
I would bet my life you haven't even laid eyes on a cruise ship in your entire existence.

I've watched the video. I fail to see anything remotely spectacular about it. In fact, I'm willing to wager that your entire life hasn't been significantly altered by such an unforgettable experience.

Henry Cox78 said:There aren't any barriers at all for Mexican exports into America. The only time a single company ran into trouble was when they tried to invest in KIM, and the media made a huge deal out of it being "Mexican interests" or whatever. But notice how everyone plays dumb about the massive headache the Nestlé group faced when they bought a firm and were blocked from starting production just because they're from America. Is anyone even talking about that? Nope. Apparently, it's just "obvious." Mexicans aren't allowed to have problems anywhere, but Americans can do whatever they want. Stop whining. 🙂

Hahaha, I completely agree! Well said 😁

The women are coming because of the Americans. 😉
Honestly, I’d rather deal with the indignity of being a total jerk than grind away for minimum wage just to end up hungry at the end of the week. It’s hard to stay motivated when your paycheck doesn't even cover the basics. On a different note, I can't tell if Šime could actually get by just charging people for his room; he probably wouldn't even need a real job.
When I brought up cruises, my point was simply that you won't find that kind of scene in Mexico. You actually have to come over here to see for yourself that it’s even a real thing.

Anthony James2 said:Actually, Hvar wine is exactly what I'm leaning toward right now. Just a quick little side note—I had some friends and partners visiting from Washington, D.C. and Miami recently. I ended up taking them to this restaurant called the "Citadel" during the local Korčula day festivities. They even had a live vocal group performing. Man, it was incredible... 😍😍😍

I have to ask, what capital city are you even from if you don't realize the restaurant at Kalemegdan isn't called "Kalemegdan Fortress" but is actually "KALEMEGDAN TERRACE"? 🤷🤷🤷

Alright, let's be real, we all know what he meant. Honestly, for the longest time, I also just assumed that was just some local nickname and the actual official name of the place was something totally random and boring. 🙂

Seriously, why do Americans hate Mexicans so much? All they wanted was a little more territory. Besides, looting happens in every single war anyway.

They were only ever interested in seizing their own specific territories, completely disregarding the borders established by that communist AVNOJ rabble. But then again, who am I to pass judgment on such matters?
