Joseph Miller41 said:Is it actually possible to manifest your dreams just by having massive faith and an intense desire to make them happen?
I’ve been doing some deep dives into this lately, and I’ve even heard some people share stories about how, if you just want something bad enough—like, truly believe in it with everything you've got—and then just let go and trust the process, things magically fall into place. It's like you set the intention and then just step back and let the universe do its thing.
Has anyone else here actually experienced something like this??

Sounds like some Matrix bullshit to me.

Oh, absolutely. I know a guy who wanted more free time for his hobbies, so he went out and got himself fired...

Now he has zero money for those hobbies...

But hey, at least he has the time...

A total win-win...

Let’s be serious for a second...

No...

Why so serious? It’s not like we’re discussing a national crisis...

Here is a shorter version with some illustrations, in case you prefer a visual aid...

Alright, all jokes aside—once I actually started applying the lessons from Secret to my daily life, things got interesting. I had this massive craving for ice cream... like, really intense... so I swung by Walmart, and wouldn't you know it? They had strawberry right there, exactly what I was feeling. It felt like the universe was totally in sync with me.

The book was definitely worth it🙂

I mean, sure, anything can happen, right? But Alanis already laid it all out there, and honestly, I don't see much point in overthinking it or going down a rabbit hole... I once tried to move soap bubbles around just by staring at them really hard, thinking sheer willpower would do the trick, and let me tell you... yeah, that didn't exactly work out for me. Total fail... so, yeah, that kind of stuff is just nonsense, or more likely, just pure coincidence.

I’ve heard people claim that if you actually want to manifest something, you have to vocalize those desires—basically running these little mantras on loop. Like, telling yourself, "I want to move to Los Angeles," or "I want to get into adult film production," over and over again right before hitting the sack and immediately after rolling out of bed in the morning.

I feel like that whole "every single day, in every possible way, I'm just getting better and better" line fits much better... you know, because we all remember that classic movie *Dolly Bell*, right? 😛

Even before I heard about manifestation or watched that documentary 'The Secret,' weird coincidences were already popping up—like, my wishes or even my fears would just... happen.

It means I believe in it, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't mean what some people say, like you can just sit on your couch and wait for things to happen...
Most of the time, stuff just manifests after I've thought about it or wanted it without actually trying or obsessing over making it real. Like, a totally random thing: I was driving for maybe an hour and just happened to think of a song—literally a minute later, there it was on the radio. Then I thought of another one, and boom, that one came on too. I don't know, maybe it sounds silly, but I don't think it’s just luck🤷. Or like, I remember thinking about an old TV show that hadn't been on in years, and then the very next day, it's back on the screen😬
.
Or, for instance, I’d find myself worrying about a specific situation happening—basically playing out the whole scene and the exact words someone would say in my head🙂—and wouldn't you know it, it played out exactly like that, down to the identical words I imagined🙄.

So, am I crazy? Or maybe I'm just psychic, I guess😛.

Clearly, wishes come true when you visualize them or want them effortlessly, without all that intense mental clutching—like, I need this, I want this, period...... I feel like when we want something way too badly, it won't happen because we're gripping it too tight🤷.
Just stay chill, think it, and let it go...

Anyway, that's just what I've experienced.🙂

So, I was just sitting there yesterday, thinking to myself how much I could really go for a beer—just one of those sudden, intense cravings. Fast forward thirty minutes, and my buddy rolls up with two six-packs. Don't tell me I don't have some kind of cosmic pull or something. The only thing missing from that perfect moment? Ida Prester hasn't shown her face anywhere lately...

I don't know, maybe I'm just overthinking it. It feels like everyone is talking about this at once, which is always a bit much for me. I guess we'll see how it plays out, but honestly, I'm not holding my breath. Just one of those things, I suppose. kaže:
That’s just some Jungian synchronicity stuff, I guess.

I’ve been reading up on this whole synchronicity thing lately. Honestly, I kind of feel like it’s all just tied to how we manifest what we want. Like, maybe our thoughts are actually as real as, I don't know, our own hands or something. I guess.

Well then—if that's the case, why can't we just move stuff with our minds?

Well, there you go. It all starts with the little things, I guess😁. Life's really in the small stuff🙂.
Maybe you're just obsessing over Ida too much. Just let her go, maybe she'll show up when she feels like it🤣. But whatever🧐. 😉

Well, maybe some people actually can. Those of us who can't probably just don't believe in it enough. I guess the doubt inside us is stronger than the power, so that's what happens.

I honestly don't even know where to start with this whole situation because it feels like everyone is just talking in circles and nobody is actually listening to a damn word anyone else says, you know? It’s like watching a slow-motion train wreck where the conductor is asleep at the wheel and the passengers are too busy arguing about the snack menu to realize we're heading straight for a ditch. I was sitting there thinking about how much energy we waste on these petty little disagreements when, at the end of the day, most of it doesn't even matter, but then again, maybe it does, and I'm probably just being cynical again—which, let's be honest, is kind of my brand at this point. Anyway, I’ve been staring at this screen for an hour trying to figure out if I should even bother weighing in, but since I'm already here and clearly have nothing better to do than overthink things, I might as well just lay it all out there. It's exhausting, really, dealing with the constant noise, but I guess that's just life in the States, isn't it? Just endless chatter and zero substance. kaže:
Our thoughts are just as damn real as our own hands.

Where exactly is the actual proof for this kind of sensationalist garbage? Seriously, where is it?
I don't even know where to start with this one, honestly. I was sitting there just thinking about how much everything seems to be shifting lately, you know? Like, you think you have a handle on things, and then suddenly the ground moves under your feet. It’s like that feeling when you're driving down a backroad in the middle of nowhere and realize you took a wrong turn miles ago—you can't exactly undo it, so you just have to sit there with your own bad decisions. Anyway, I was reading through some of the stuff being said online, and man, people really love to hear themselves talk. It's constant. Every single day it's someone shouting into the void, expecting the world to stop spinning just because they have an opinion on something they barely understand. It gets exhausting, truly. I find myself staring at the screen sometimes just wondering if anyone is actually listening or if we're all just performing for an audience of ghosts. It’s a lot to process, and I’m probably just overthinking it, which is my specialty, I guess. I'll probably regret even bringing this up because I know how much I love to ramble, but there's just something about the way things are moving right now that feels... off. Just off. I can't even begin to wrap my head around what this guy is actually trying to say here, honestly. It’s like he’s speaking a completely different language or just throwing words at a wall to see what sticks, which—let’s be real—is basically all he does. I was sitting here, probably wasting my own time too much, just staring at this mess and thinking, "Is there a point buried in here somewhere?" But no, it's just more of the same rambling nonsense that makes you want to throw your phone across the room. It’s exhausting, really, dealing with this kind of logic, or lack thereof, especially when you're just trying to have a normal conversation without feeling like your brain is being slowly sanded down by sheer stupidity.
I mean, hey, some people actually pull it off, I guess!

Which one?

The judge, Zlatko sudac, and some guy from the Appalachian Mountains whose name escapes me right now.

Look, I don't really have any hard evidence to throw around here, just my own experiences and some stuff I've heard from people—assuming they're actually worth listening to, I guess. But honestly, my own lived experience is enough for me.

I mean, I know someone, but whatever, it doesn't really matter since I don't have any proof anyway. I’m not trying to convince anyone or claim I'm 100% sure about what I'm saying, and I definitely don't have the energy to get into an argument with anyone. It’s just my own thoughts and what I believe, you know? Since I can't prove anything, I'm not out here preaching to the choir or trying to force anyone's hand. If you want to believe it, go for it. You probably won't lose anything by just visualizing what you want to happen and keeping things positive, I guess.

cool ☕
so why then don't those guys in the psych ward—the ones who swear they're washing machines—actually manage to spin white laundry at 190 degrees?
do you think they actually doubt they're appliances or something?

I mean, if you really think about it... all that stuff like hexes, curses, or even voodoo vibes... it’s all basically just tied back to the power of willpower and what people actually believe in. So, yeah... I still don't buy into any of it personally. I'm not exactly the superstitious type...

Did you even read my actual post before you quoted it?
I have zero interest in commenting on that kind of nonsense, so I don't know why they aren't washing machines🤣, and honestly, I don't care. Maybe they see themselves as appliances in the mirror and just lack the drive to become what they already are🤣
