There’s going to be plenty of interesting stuff happening here. If I can't make it, I already know exactly who I'm reaching out to for the scoop 😉

lili p. said:Great info. Honestly, this whole mess drove me crazy. I finished recording everything, but now there's zero progress. I’m not rushing it; I'll let him sit with it for a while to figure out if he's actually done or not. Nothing happens. It just stalls.
I'll give that a shot, thanks. I'll let you know how it goes.
Exactly. We need to share this kind of stuff and help people out when manufacturers fail to do it properly.
To address the comment from dubin: I'm not attacking Sinesis or the people who bought their software. I buy junk sometimes too—usually because of bad info or price—but at least I don't brag about buying a "premium brand" and tell everyone else they have to buy it. Sinesis has a massive user base, which is its one real advantage (why they reached that size is a question we've already covered, but let's move on). That makes it easier to swap info, though most people are too lazy or too jealous to share what they find. Personally, I think the developer should be paying people (if they aren't already) or at least thanking those who help his users navigate his own software since he won't do it himself.
Just because Best Buy is bad for you doesn't mean it's bad for everyone, and just because it works for me doesn't mean it works for everyone. Your constant bashing doesn't help anyone make a choice. So don't get mad when I snap back and criticize your "perfect" software.
As for that nonsense about motherboards, I won't even dignify it with a response. I haven't heard such stupidity in ages. Software houses might collaborate or buy licenses from each other, but they definitely aren't teaming up to build small programs together. There are plenty of license deals and partnerships in the high-end market, so maybe educate yourself before you start rambling about how "perfect everything is in the West." You sound like some local hack acting like you're smarter than everyone else.

Look, I’m sorry, but you are being incredibly annoying with all this "know-it-all" energy!!! Don't try to lecture us when you clearly don't have a clue about the subject—and honestly, stay out of things that don't involve you; let the people actually interested handle it. Just so you know how wrong you are: the motherboard uses large memory—like an HDD, if you've ever even heard of one?—to store data for that day, so it’s absolutely vital for working with the SWOT.
But seriously—once again, PLEASE stick to the technical stuff and stop trying to be the expert on everything. We can manage without your input. For me, the discussion is over, just like Liti asked—STOP.

Yeah, it's obvious you're an expert. HDDs are always built into the motherboard. Please, don't tell anyone else that unless you want regular users laughing at you. It’s basic tech culture—stuff kids learn in their first computer class—yet here you are acting like some high-level pro who rewrites everyone else's code. A real hacker wouldn't even 🙂
Please, don't dig this hole any deeper...
And stop calling every single comment "matching lids," because according to you, you're the only one allowed to have an opinion on anything.
Pupila will only open a forum if he wants to run a smear campaign, since he'd just get choked out by user feedback. And Pupila definitely won't do that; he's too cunning for his own good.

Hey everyone. I’m looking to swap stories if anyone’s been through this, or maybe just get some actual advice. I’ve always wanted to get into bookkeeping, but honestly, I haven't had much hands-on experience beyond the basic data entry and paperwork side of things.😁Beyond my degree and a certification course, I don't exactly have a massive toolkit—accounting is a pretty complex beast, after all.🙂So, here's the deal: I just started a small business providing IT consulting and professional services. My husband will be handling the technical work, while I'll be running the books myself. We're officially registered and set to launch on January 1st. Once that hits, I'll be heading down to the IRS and the local tax offices to get everything squared away.😲Look, I'm not trying to act like an expert. If I’d actually landed a job at a firm like Deloitte or a local accounting office, I would’ve jumped at the chance to learn the ropes properly. But instead, I'm kind of terrified. I don't want to hire a pro because I really want to handle this myself. My husband and I used to run a restaurant, and our previous accountant was one of those types who guarded her knowledge like a hawk and had zero patience for someone as green as I am. Am I the only one crazy enough to try this, or is there anyone else out there flying blind? Thanks! 🙂

Terry Johnson3 said:You've got a point. He’s already lost his cool and is spitting venom at thousands of users who bought "junk," but honestly, that says more about him than anyone else. Still, I respect the moderator's gag order—PSSSST!!!
Why is the moderator leaving this insulting, false comment up while deleting the response? It feels pretty biased. If we aren't allowed to poke fun at sinesis or push back against dUbO, then this thread should just be renamed "The Great Sinesis Fan Club."
I'm sticking to my guns: sinesis is garbage, and I have the arguments to prove it (which I've laid out a few times already). And look, I've admitted that I buy junk sometimes too—that's not an insult to sinesis customers, because we all make bad calls. In the US, cheap IKEA or big-box furniture sells like crazy despite being low quality, which shows how much you love that model. Are the people buying it stupid, or just on a budget?

Thanks, Lili... I'm joining in on those congratulations. Here’s hoping we can keep this level of productive cooperation going through next year too. As for the rest of you folks on this forum... hats off to you.🙂

Gee!! Seriously—amen to that. If this is how things work, then it’s no wonder nobody feels like chiming in on anything... we've got what, three active users and that's it?? And let me guess, that means there isn't much work to do??
I really think things should loosen up a bit, unless someone actually asks a question that stays strictly on topic... But honestly, I've been doing things this way since I was living at my parents' place.

Jessica Grant56, out of respect for you and the handful of others who actually contribute here, I want to lay things out clearly. Moving forward, please take these kinds of debates and side stories over to the chat thread. This specific topic is far too valuable to be wasted on petty arguments.
Every single time this thread gets bumped by a question or a comment, a small group of you jumps in, and it always devolves into toxic back-and-forth about who’s the bigger expert. It’s completely unnecessary for people to lecture you on your skills or tell Business what they should be doing when neither of you actually knows the software inside and out.
I won't stand for it. Those of us who actually work with—or develop—this software need to be able to read through these posts carefully. We need to protect this high-quality information instead of letting it drown in a sea of insults and ego trips.
You have no idea how many posts I’ve had to delete, or how many people reach out to me via DM. If you want to argue, go to the chat thread. This space is strictly for software-related discussion. No exceptions. If you don't like that, you know where to take your complaints.
I’ll leave this post up for today, but it will be deleted shortly. Any further discussion regarding this should happen in the chat—our virtual coffee thread.

Look, Henry, feel free to just delete your reply tomorrow—honestly, I’m not interested in getting into a tug-of-war with anyone. I’ve been kicked off this thread twice before, so I can handle it again; after all, the internet is huge and there are plenty of other moderators out there who are more chill and easygoing. What really worries me is that "every single time" part—it starts up, then it dies again—why is that? Is the topic sterile or boring? We both know it isn't. So, if it's not that, is it just poorly moderated? I'm not here to judge, and I'm definitely not going to go running to someone to complain... If the owners are happy, then fine. Though, I totally agree that people jump too quickly to saying "you have no clue" or "this is pointless," but I guess that depends entirely on WHO is saying it.
Paul has always been a bit of a provocateur, but why shouldn't we have a little debate? It keeps things lively, doesn't it? At the end of the day, we aren't arguing over who's the most patriotic or who loves hunting more; we're just talking about which software we think is better (or more cost-effective) than the next. Sure, Paul has always been quick to insult others, so the pattern continues, but... I don't have to take him seriously, especially since I'm fully aware of my own limits—what I know, what I don't, and what my actual degree is in. When he insults someone, it reflects his level, not mine, and honestly, I've dealt with much worse. Where did everyone go who used to join in on those debates? Did you scare them off? Or did they just run away? That doesn't seem right at all. I won't list names—we both know who they are. Those discussions were actually pretty interesting and you could learn a thing or two. But—I guess that's all in the past now? Fine, then lock the thread and goodnight!
Go ahead, delete, ban, do whatever you want, but against whom?? If the three of us shut up, you might as well just write your own blog... And even that isn't allowed?? I don't have a magic fix, other than noticing that on other threads—non-Accountant ones, anyway—they seem to have a much higher threshold for tolerance.
P.S. I haven't posted since March 15, 2011. How "alive" or "dead" has this topic actually been between then and now?? Then the Business software showed up and brought a little life back to the party...

Henry Edwards33, look, I'm all for being direct and skipping the sugar-coating—it doesn't really matter where it happens, as long as we actually communicate, you know? And obviously, let's keep it civil. Personally, I welcome any kind of feedback, even if it's negative (or positive), because if people are actually thinking, it can lead to better work. It makes for a better Forum. Unfortunately, some of our best, most helpful people—the ones who were always willing to lend a hand—just don't show up anymore. Even though they were great, certain personalities have basically chased them away. (You know who I mean, and I won't list names here since we’re still on good terms.) Self-promotion is probably the number one issue here. Even when the people acting like geniuses are the ones actually writing the software—they should at least set some boundaries. Especially when they go around calling other products "garbage." Those are the very tools used by 75% of the people who visit this Forum, the service providers, and if I recall correctly, maybe you do too? Why should we let some mediocre person insult us? They might have a degree or whatever, but that doesn't make us any less valid. If I've been successfully using QuickBooks programs for 16 years, isn't that proof enough that they actually work? I looked for something better, tried Techno and (subjectively speaking) didn't care for it... That's just my take. It's fine to discuss what *isn't* working, but not in a way that implies everything except their own house is trash. It feels way too arrogant... Bash is curious to see how this plays out—will Paul just keep jumping out of every conversation like a broken record, shouting his usual slogan: "mine is the best everrr" (seriously, just look through his posts to find it!!). Also, just a heads-up: I'm not going to engage with insults. I've grown past that. But with you, I feel like I can actually exchange ideas! We can even chat off-topic about how to fix bugs...
If you remember how many people Paul has insulted (Vladimir, the Ice Man, etc.) and the kind of language he uses, I have to ask: why do you allow it?? Is there some secret connection there? I won't bother quoting those gems that perfectly illustrate his character—that primitive way of acting, the swearing, the insults—but you can certainly go back and look at those old threads to find your answer... If you want to respond, go ahead. But since we've opened this door—let's actually try to figure out where the problem lies.

First off, I want to address what matters most to me.
To be honest, it’s a shame some people have moved on. I learned a lot from them. Their genuine desire to help, combined with their expertise and patience, really left an impression on me, and I truly wish they would come back.
Dubravka is a wonderful woman. I admire how patient she was, even with the most trivial questions. Her expertise and experience are exactly what we all strive for, so her leaving was genuinely saddening.
Then there’s L.A., who has almost stopped posting entirely. Every single one of his posts was educational; he had this way of making you reach your own conclusions by connecting the dots of the law himself. He didn't just hand you the answers on a silver platter. You actually had to think, and he acted as a guide. A fantastic teacher.
I’ll stop there, even though there are plenty of others I should mention.
Vladimir, VTi, Vitas, mina jasmina, and several others really go out of their way to make sure nobody is left without an answer. They are just a few of the people I deeply respect, and I’m grateful for their contributions to this sub-forum. They’ve helped me immensely, and I’m sure they’ve done the same for many others.
Now, let me move on to other things, because if I keep going like this, I’ll end up writing a memoir instead of a post. 🤣
I believe communication is vital. That’s the whole point of the Forum—the clash of different perspectives. My only wish is that threads wouldn't get started so haphazardly. These topics are massive and involve a lot of reading. A new user won't be able to find their footing and will likely give up if they have to wade through a sea of posts that say nothing of substance, serving as little more than a private conversation between a couple of regulars.
Regarding accounting software: I currently use Synesis, and I haven't quite decided whether I’ll stick with the same brand or switch things up. Besides the three or four programs mentioned here, I’ve looked at others too. There are some excellent options out there, but unfortunately, nobody seems to advertise them.
Paul mentions one specific program. No one is forbidden from talking about their own software; the only rule is no direct linking, and he respects that.
I couldn't be happier if representatives from Synesis, Pantheon, Faros, or any other software providers decided to register here. It would allow for high-quality discussions where users could actually compare programs and exchange real feedback. After all, who better to praise or criticize a tool than the accountant who uses it every day?
And look at this—you're accusing me of protecting Paul, while he's accusing me of protecting you by letting your posts stay up while deleting his. You're asking if there's some secret alliance? I'll let you draw your own conclusions. 😉

It’s both, genius. You should probably know that by now.
It sounds like some pipe dream to me. 🙂 Meanwhile, Sisenis isn't dreaming; he's just stuck in the mud. 🙂
Man, I really hope the mods don't just archive this nonsense. Hopefully, they'll show some mercy and move it over to the chat instead...

You aren't Lili—not by a long shot!!! Honestly, Vlad is someone you can actually trust; he’s always willing to offer advice or lend a hand, and he’s never been this tedious or pushy like your "secret connection." And this "secret" disaster keeps hurling insults too?!? So, looking at everything that particular connection has written and how they've been acting—the conclusion is pretty obvious: there's definitely a hidden link here! But then again—in a country as corrupt as this, you can't even get a job at a local Starbucks without knowing someone, right??
But hey—look at us. Most of us who have already checked out of this whole topic just drift back in occasionally, waiting for you to move on to something else so someone can finally deal with this chatterbox and tell them to watch their mouth. I guess those who wait eventually get what they want.
I’ll pop back in whenever I feel like it—maybe in three or four months—but I don't bother responding to insults. My family always tells me: just let it go... honestly, they're such a mess!
