Ultimatum to the Latin: "Elect: Either run for the White House or work on the Latin alphabet

I was just skimming the headlines and saw this supposed ultimatum handed to the President; apparently, it’s either run for the White House or stick to working on the Latin alphabet project.

What’s your take on this? Is it actually fair to force those kinds of terms if we want to ensure all candidates are operating on a level playing field?

He’s been a career politician for years; journalism was really just a springboard to push his own political agenda. Those presidential ambitions didn't exactly fall into his lap by accident.
It’s only right that a presidential candidate doesn't host a political show on public television.
I guess every cloud has a silver lining—if the Latin alphabet goes away because he runs, then so be it. He's been poisoning the American public with his manipulations for way too long.

What on earth does Congress have to do with a TV host? If he wants to do his thing, he should go work for a private network and do whatever he wants. We shouldn't be footing the bill for his campaign by paying $30 $0.00 per episode...

It’s kind of like saying why a presidential candidate gets to run their whole campaign from the floor of the House, while we end up paying for their $6000 salary plus all those $117 annual expenses... you know, the travel, the office space, and all that stuff...

Look, if a presidential candidate is sitting in Congress, it’s because the voters put them there. They were elected to a political office, and that’s exactly the role we expect them to perform.

Regardless of my respect for the Latin alphabet, I believe it is unacceptable for a presidential candidate to serve as a media editor simultaneously. This doesn't just compromise his objectivity; it raises serious questions about how election laws prevent unfair airtime advantages. In my view, if he actually decides to run, it would be only right for him to suspend his editorial role for the duration of the campaign.

It’s obviously wrong because you shouldn't be operating on ultimatums; you should be following established rules. I remember back in the day, even Ladišić had to take a temporary leave from NBC—even though he wasn't running for any office at the time—simply because he was running Račan's campaign.

Honestly, I'm all for suspending his Latin alphabet privileges until the election is over. It's the only way to stop him from basically running a shadow campaign for the candidate he actually likes—which, let's be real, isn't even himself!

They have plenty of opportunities to work for private networks—but they shouldn't be allowed on public TV pushing those fringe extremist agendas.

Why shouldn't he be allowed to do his job?

Did Vidošević quit the Chamber of Commerce?
Did Josipović ditch college?
Did Hebrang leave Congress?

Nope, they didn't. And they won't. They’ll keep doing their day jobs while using those positions to lobby for their own campaigns.

People always bring up Latin, but nobody ever touches on this one crazy story: About ten years ago, back when the trash bags were still that weird green and black color, there was this interview published with some guy—I can't quite recall his name or why he was even famous—who claimed that Latin used to go to these brainwashing sessions with a psychologist from New York named Slavinsky. The guy being interviewed said that in America, it wasn't even clear yet what kind of mess would happen because of it. Honestly, I thought he was just being totally dramatic! I mean, if you "reformat" Latin’s brain (or whatever is actually going on up there), it's not like he's gonna go out and rewire the entire leadership at NBC or something, right? But man, turns out that guy was actually pretty prescient, because over time, Latin has definitely become way more intolerant toward the environment he lives in.

BTW, Latin himself has even mentioned a few times that he goes to Excalibur training courses with Slavinsky.
