It’s honestly so frustrating when I get a craving, go out and grab all the ingredients, spend all that time prepping everything, and then suddenly... I just don't want it. It feels totally unappealing...

Everything seems to have an odor lately... even things that shouldn't... and heaven forbid I happen to be near anything that's gone bad, because the nausea hits me instantly...

One day I feel like I'm constantly starving and could basically devour everything in sight like Pac-Man, and the next, I'll spend hours agonizing over what to eat because nothing sounds remotely appetizing...

And then there are the people at work who just won't quit. They’re constantly commenting on how my stomach isn't showing yet, or questioning if I've gained weight since I look exactly the same as before—mind you, I'm five months pregnant... and they do this every single day. As if a baby is just going to pop out overnight... I do have a bump, it's just less obvious because I have a bit more of a fuller figure right now🙂

The constant exhaustion is really getting to me, too. I absolutely love spring and summer, and I'm genuinely worried I'm going to sleep through the whole season... I really wish I had the energy to wake up earlier and actually go out and enjoy all that beautiful weather...

The only thing driving me absolutely insane right now is the constant urge to pee. It’s relentless, and honestly, I’m exhausted. I feel like I know the layout of every single restroom better than my own living room—from the stalls at Starbucks to the ones in Target and Walmart, all the way to every single gas station on my commute from work to the house. And the worst part? I can't even get a decent night's sleep because I'm waking up every hour to run to the bathroom 😵
I swear, I’m going to spend about half of this entire pregnancy just sitting on the toilet 🙂🙂

Must be nice 😉

I’m near the end here, and as much as I love being pregnant, I’m up 3 or 4 times every single night just to pee. This has been happening since the halfway mark.
And it’s not just nighttime. For example: I’ll go to the bathroom, finish up, start brushing my teeth, and midway through—boom—need to go again. 😛 😁

Oh, one more thing:

When the urge hits hard and I can't get to a restroom immediately—like when I'm stuck in a long line at Walmart or somewhere crowded—if I happen to sneeze too hard? Oops, Paul Campbell8 had a little accident in her pants. Thank God for heavy-duty maternity pads. Just part of the pregnancy charm, I guess...

LOL, me too... though it isn't quite as relentless for me. Some days and nights I find myself wondering what I even drank, because it feels like I haven't had that much water, and then other days it's totally normal 😁

Honestly, I was just looking in the mirror today and—wow—I am actually shocked at how much my boobs have grown already. 🤣
It’s the first time this year I’ve popped on one of those breezy summer sundresses—you know, the ones with just the stretchy elastic top? I usually skip the bra when I wear stuff like that... and man, they look huge, and I'm only seven weeks along! 😲😲
If they're doing this now, I can't even imagine what's going to happen by the end of the pregnancy or when I'm actually nursing...

There’s nothing quite as grating as being bombarded with unsolicited advice that basically suggests I shouldn't bother living my life at all.
Today was a particularly stellar example of this:
"Don't walk too fast, you'll do more harm than good"
"Avoid eating cookies—you have to watch out for salmonella" (as if I haven't been enjoying my treats without issue for years)
"The fifth month is when things get really risky"😲 🤔 (and that came from the very same person who was lecturing me about my walking pace)🤷

It really gets under my skin when everyone starts preaching at me with those same old lines: "Just wait until the baby arrives," or "Enjoy your freedom while you can, everything changes once you're a parent."

As if I had gotten pregnant after my first time at sixteen and somehow missed out on life entirely.
Look, I’m not exactly a kid anymore. We planned to have a child, and I feel ready to step up as a mother... I know it’s going to be tough. Honestly, I have no clue what to expect or how hard it'll actually hit. But hey, I'll manage. My husband and I will figure it out—it's not like we're such idiots that the two of us couldn't handle one tiny human.
What really bugs me, though, is how rarely anyone talks about the good stuff—the actual love for the baby, or the incredible experiences that only parents get to have.

Luckily, I can still drive, so I'm not stuck relying on public transit, but it still pissed me off on the bus today. I could literally feel people intentionally ignoring me just because my bump is huge, simply because they didn't want to deal with the minor inconvenience of standing up.

Wait, what was that bit about "sleep while you still can, because you won't for the next 20 years"—WTF??
I mean, I get being tired for a year or two—we've all been there—but twenty whole years? Honestly, if you're losing sleep because of a kid who’s already halfway through college, you’ve got way bigger problems on your hands than just needing a nap...

I can't decide what bugs me more—when they hit you with that patronizing "just you wait and see" tone, acting like I have zero clue what's coming, or that sneaky little "teehee, you won't be getting any sleep tonight" vibe. Like it's some grand prize, when really I'll just end up pissed off, exhausted, and running on fumes.

People are straight-up psychos. :klap:

I think they’re just trying to act important because they survived it and look at them, still kicking... maybe...

He... he really gets under my skin. My back can barely handle the daily grind anymore, and here I am, feeling every bit of it by 11 AM... just constant pain...

I truly, deeply don't get the need for this kind of talk. 🙏
To be fair, I haven't actually run into those specific comments yet—probably because my baby bump isn't showing enough for people to take me seriously... but once it does, they're going to hear from me.

People are absolute lunatics. 👏

🤣 🤣

I’ve realized I just can't stand ricotta anymore. 😠
I guess I’m just too forgetful when it comes to stuff like this.
tooth !! Is it just me, or is everyone struggling with them?? I’ve already had to make an emergency trip to the dentist, and it’s only been three months. 🙂

What’s your deal with the teeth? You’re practically trying to swallow a whole bottle of calcium supplements at this rate.
I actually went in for my routine checkup back when I was four months pregnant, and everything checked out fine so far. Honestly, though, I was positive I had developed some new cavities. 😳

On top of the usual bleeding gums, I’ve already had to get one tooth fixed, and now I’m spotting this tiny black spot on my lower left premolar.
My teeth aren't exactly high quality to begin with, so I tend to obsess over them like a maniac, but I honestly didn't expect to be dealing with two cavities by the time I'm three months pregnant. I guess if this is how it starts, I can only imagine what happens by the end of the pregnancy.😢>

Ugh, no, I really need to get to it too, but I’m just waiting out this wave of nausea first—I definitely wouldn't be able to right now...

It might just be some staining on that tooth rather than an actual cavity.
Regardless, you really need to stay on top of flossing. I never used to be much of a flosser myself, but since becoming pregnant, I've been trying to be much more diligent about it.
You could also try brushing with a little baking soda every once in a while.

I guess I placed another order, so we'll see how it goes. For what it's worth, my routine is pretty intense—I floss at least twice a day and rotate between a manual brush and an electric one, using fluoride-free paste and finishing off with mouthwash.
It's mostly because I know the ones I have now are absolute garbage...

Nausea. People love to offer their unsolicited advice, but this is unbearable. I haven't thrown up since elementary school, yet yesterday I was sick three times just from exhaustion. It’s brutal. I am genuinely hoping things stabilize in the second trimester because I can't deal with this. 😢

The only thing keeping me going is thinking about how great the little one is doing—safe, comfortable, and having everything they need. I can't wait to find out the gender so they aren't just "the baby" anymore, but actually have a name. 😍

What surprised me most was how much my chest grew while my weight actually went down, especially considering what I've been eating. It’s also wild how "normal" everything feels. Aside from a brief moment at the start, I haven't dealt with any nausea, weird stomach issues, crazy cravings, or being repulsed by certain smells or foods. No aches, no constant exhaustion, and I'm not nearly as moody or hormonally unstable (well, not more than usual, right 😬). I don't have to run to the bathroom every five minutes, and I can move around just fine... if you ignore the belly (and the 😁) and that occasional little flutter 😍, I’d probably forget I was even pregnant. 🤷

So, you think everyone hates my guts now? 😬

Nah, just so it doesn't seem like I'm just being cranky about stuff—it's actually pretty fascinating how much our little pack's behavior has shifted...
I mean, we've always been cat people, obviously, but now I can't even sit down without someone latching onto me! They'll go way out of their way just to nap next to me—even when I'm curled up on the couch feeling crappy, they'll squeeze into these super awkward, uncomfortable positions just to stay close. They just won't leave me alone!
The dog is being extra clingy too, like seriously... He follows me straight into the bathroom and just hangs out by the tub while I'm showering. Doesn't care at all if the water splashes him or anything, he just keeps nudging me for pets like he's a tiny puppy again.
My crazy little crew. 😍
