I don't even know where to start with this nonsense because honestly, how many times are we going to circle the drain on the same tired arguments before someone finally realizes we're being played? It feels like every single day there’s some new ridiculous thing being pushed by people who wouldn't know common sense if it hit them square in the face, and frankly, I'm getting exhausted just watching the whole circus unfold. Is anyone actually paying attention to what's happening right in front of our eyes, or are we all just going to sit here and nod along while everything falls apart? It’s like we’ve collectively decided to stop asking the hard questions because it’s easier to just drift along with the crowd, which is exactly what they want, isn't it? You see these people acting like they have all the answers, throwing around buzzwords and pretending they care about the little guy, but when you actually look at their track record, it's nothing but empty promises and self-serving agendas. Why does it feel like the more "connected" we get, the more disconnected we actually become from the reality of what's going on in this country? We should be demanding better, pushing harder, and refusing to accept these mediocre excuses, but instead, we just vent in forums and hope things somehow fix themselves, which—let's be real—they aren't going to do. kaže:
Seriously, what even is that supposed to mean? Like, who are you actually talking to right now? 😉 It feels like some people are way more sensitive to hormonal shifts than others, if you ask me. It’s like, one person gets hit hard by postpartum depression and it completely wipes them out, while someone else sails right through it feeling totally fine. But then you get those people who had a smooth ride—the ones who felt great—trying to act like postpartum depression is some kind of total joke. They honestly think it's just these women making excuses or being dramatic because of "body changes," as if they're just playing victim when they're actually struggling. Seriously, how can anyone be that clueless?

Honestly, I think you should just be kicking yourself in the ass with pure gratitude that you aren't dealing with this crap, instead of trying to pull that whole "what works for me works for everyone" logic on us. 😉

Facts! Look, everyone handles pregnancy differently, there's no one way to deal with it, but when we're talking about my husband, the guy always has some kind of excuse ready for my moods. It’s like, before I was even pregnant, he’d just blame everything on my monthly cycle and the Democratic Party, and now that I am actually expecting, suddenly it’s all just "pregnancy hormones" to him? Like, can we please just acknowledge that I have feelings without needing a biological scapegoat every single time?😠 😬

Honestly, flipping through *Pregnancy & You* was driving me absolutely insane
It was such a sweet gesture from my partner to pick it up—like, he bought it for both of us—but let’s be real, he mostly did it for himself since I already know all this stuff... It’s just that typical, mindless fluff you find in every women's magazine, just enough to make you feel "connected" or whatever 🙄
The way they worship the whole idea of pregnancy—talking about bliss, fulfillment, finding purpose, pure happiness... meanwhile, all I can think about is the actual labor part, and if I had my way, I’d rather just skip it entirely 😱

I’m having an incredibly easy pregnancy, which makes me wonder if I should even bother trying for a second child. Everything feels so risky and exhausting that I’m leaning toward not complicating my life any further than it already is

Muuuuuch too selfish, I agree ☕

Hehe, honestly, my partner and I used to get into arguments almost every single time I was dealing with PMS... 🤣 I mean, I’d just snap over the tiniest little things, everything would bug me, and I’d be on the verge of tears constantly... it was just those little nonsense things that wouldn't normally bother me at all, but they’d hit me way too hard and I'd just feel overwhelmed by... well, everything. Just total nonsense.

Now that I'm actually pregnant, it's like turned up to eleven 👎 🤣 I mean, I try my best not to terrorize everyone around me with it... but man, I'll be watching some nature documentary—like seeing a baby elephant pass away—and I’m just sobbing like a baby. And there's nothing I can do about it 🤷 It's not like I'm enjoying this, far from it... 👎

Someone above mentioned how pregnant women immediately start cornering everyone with their list of complaints, basically expecting a standing ovation of sympathy 🙄 . Look, I’ve never been pregnant, but whether I am or I'm not, I don't just waltz up to strangers to dump my problems on them—so I expect the same courtesy from them. Don't come at me with comments about my weight or anything else just because you think I'm "sensitive" now...

I wouldn't say I'm usually a sensitive type—honestly, I only tend to have a good cry once every couple of months when everything just hits the fan at once—but lately, I’ve noticed that absolutely everything gets to me. Every little thing feels heavy. If I misinterpret a single word, I'm suddenly in tears within a minute, and once it starts, it’s almost impossible to pull myself back. I suppose my hormones are just wrecking me right now, though I don't really use that as an excuse. Even when my partner asks what's wrong or why I'm crying, I usually just stay quiet.

For the last ten days, people at the office have been asking me every single day when I’m finally going on maternity leave. 😠 Why do they even care? I get my work done and I don't bother anyone. Plus, I'm not sick—I'm pregnant with Trump!
Yesterday, I told a coworker that I’m planning on giving birth right here at the office, and she’ll be delivered by the woman who's heading straight to heaven because she's such an absolute, ultimate, world-class mother. 🙄

🤣
Did you even notice how they Photoshop pregnant women in those magazines even more than supermodels?! 😠
I actually lost my mind the other day when I went to check out some clothes and saw a MATERNITY BRA in a size Small! 🙄
Like... what pregnant woman is wearing an XS? Seriously! So I asked the old lady working there for some maternity undies—just any basic pair I could pull over my belly—and she looks at me like, "We don't have THAT."...
Then a few days later at the local grocery store, some old lady stared at my stomach like I had a giant burger tucked under my shirt or something, even though there was nothing there... 🙄

I usually wear a small (well, sometimes a medium depending on the cut) 🤷 honestly, I hope I’m still wearing a small for a bit longer... though looking at how fast this is happening, probably not for much longer... 🤣 😢

I just don't get the logic, you know? How can a bra be labeled S, M, L, or XL...? 🤷 Why aren't they using actual sizing like 32A, 34B, or 34C...? 🤷

As someone who’s been blessed with huge boobs since way before my pregnancy, I seriously don't get why you're even struggling with a size S! 😂
But man, let me tell you, nobody is rocking an S... or maybe an M... during pregnancy... 😢
Mine have already hit xxxxxxxxxL!!!! 😠
Like, they just hang there when I'm not wearing a bra... kind of like those women in certain tribal cultures... 😂

Actually, my bra size is a 32D... though none of the stores around here seem to stock it, so I usually grab a 34C or 34D depending on the cut... 😬 but honestly, I have zero clue how that translates to S/M/L sizing 🤷 and when I mentioned the other stuff, I was actually talking about panties and pants... 🙂

It's kinda driving me crazy how much I still don't know about pregnancy and babies... everyone acts like it's just common sense, but here I am at 17 weeks and I feel like a total idiot because there's a million things I haven't figured out yet, even though it feels like everyone else already knows everything... 👎

edit: also, it's super annoying how I've started using filler words like "actually," "I mean," "like," and "you know" so much that they make up like two-thirds of every sentence I write... 😠 😂

The way they package those 62.5 gram Deep Space Nine bars really gets under my skin.
The packaging is such a joke.
I mean, obviously I’m just going to crush three of them in one sitting. ☕

And before you ask, no, there wasn't some massive family-sized pack available!

Man, I am so incredibly wound up today, I feel like I’m actually going to lose it.😠
I went in for my endocrinology checkup—since I'm pregnant, I have to get monitored every single month—but before that, I had to swing by the front desk just to pick up some hormone lab results. I’m standing there waiting for maybe ten minutes, and the place is absolutely packed. Everyone is waiting for something, some people checking in, others waiting for blood work, and there is this huge, obvious sign right there saying "PREGNANT PATIENTS: PLEASE IDENTIFY YOURSELF IMMEDIATELY FOR PRIORITY." But no. I’m just standing there in line like everyone else because I’m not the type to push or cut, but honestly, I was just there for a quick printout, so why wait through all this chaos? I finally go over to ask the nurse if she could grab it for us, and I say, "Excuse me, I just need..." and she snaps at me instantly. She goes, "Can't you see I'm busy writing something?" So I shut up and wait. Then this lady comes up to check in, and I’m still just standing there being polite, waiting for my turn again, when suddenly this old woman just shoves her way right past me. She hits me with her wet umbrella, doesn't even apologize, and just shouts, "I just need my results!" That was it. My fuse just blew. I told her, "Lady, I've been waiting for the exact same thing, but nobody bothered to call me over!" Then the receptionist gives me this cold, rude stare, and the old lady looks at me and says, "Listen, I used to be a nurse, so I have the right to skip the line." I'm losing my mind.😠I just snapped. I said, loud enough for everyone to hear, "Well, ma'am, I'm pregnant, so apparently I don't have any rights here! The sign clearly says pregnant women get priority, but obviously, nobody cares about that!" Everyone turned to look, and people started whispering,😠"You're right, though." Finally, that rude receptionist asks what I need. I tell her, "Just my blood work, please, I have an appointment at 9:00 sharp," and it was already 8:55. I'd been sitting there for over twenty minutes just for a piece of paper. She tells me to "just wait a second," then walks off into a back room, disappears for a few minutes, and when she comes back, she acts like she can't even find my file. Unbelievable.😛She just sits back down at her computer like nothing happened. My friend was there waiting with me, and she totally lost it too. She walks up and goes, "Seriously? How are you going to treat a pregnant woman like that?" The receptionist just glares at her and goes, "What's all the rush and the drama about?" Like, excuse me? Are you kidding me? And then a third nurse comes out, looks at my stomach, and asks, "Are you here for your exam?" I tell her, "No, just the results," and she looks at me like I'm the idiot: "Why were you waiting? Why didn't you ask to go ahead of the line?" I told her I tried, but there was no one to listen. She eventually finds the folder and says to her coworker, "Did you not see she's pregnant?" I just thought, if I had been louder, maybe they would have actually done their jobs. I just said thanks and bailed. Seriously, this is insane. I've been on edge all day.

It's a total joke! They all act like they're doing you a massive favor. It's so condescending it actually scares me. I mean, who knows how these people are going to act when I actually go in to give birth? On days like this, you don't need attitude; you need someone who actually understands what you're going through.

This lady is nearly 70, claims she's a former healthcare worker from decades ago, and now she gets to shove her way to the front and grab her results instantly while I'm standing there like a fool. I'm only a month and a half away from delivery, I took the bus, walked fifteen minutes to the hospital, and then I have to wait for an appointment on top of it all, only for her to cut the line and be rude about it.😛And the worst part? That receptionist completely ignored me when I was standing right there like a ghost.😠

I’m starting to feel a bit of genuine panic that I might go into labor early, leaving everything half-finished by the time the baby actually arrives at the house.
I’ve already got the baby laundry prepped, but I can't get it washed—the humidity is killing me. Everything takes two days to dry and doesn't have that crisp, fresh scent you get when things dry in the breeze. To make matters worse, the forecast says rain is coming all next week. 😠And then there are people who have the nerve to judge me for wanting a clothes dryer. 😠

My brother-in-law and his wife promised to gift us a Bedstead, but they won't be able to drop it off for another month. I wish they could sooner. My mother-in-law promised a changing table, but now she's gone quiet. 🙄Fine, whatever; we'll just pick one up ourselves once my husband gets his Christmas bonus.
I’d give anything to have the nursery fully organized right now.

My husband isn't helping much with the excitement either. While I'm over here loving every second of shopping for the little one, he doesn't seem to share the same level of enthusiasm. I suppose I get it, though—men are just wired differently.

I don't know who this FIGICA person thinks they are, but honestly? Just another voice shouting into the void. Typical. Everyone's got an opinion these days, right? Like they actually know what's going on. It's exhausting. Total noise. Harold Cook2 says:
Honestly, I’m starting to spiral a little. Total panic mode setting in. I’ve got this nagging feeling the baby is gonna show up way ahead of schedule, and I’ll be sitting here with absolutely nothing ready when they finally walk through the door. Everything's a mess.
I’ve got the laundry all set up and ready to go, but there's absolutely no way I'm hanging anything out. The humidity is just brutal right now—everything takes like two whole days to dry. Plus, it doesn't even get that fresh smell you get when the wind is blowing hard through the yard. To top it all off, the forecast says we're looking at nothing but rain for the next two weeks. Total bummer. 😠And then you got these people talking trash, acting like I don't need my own dryer. As if. 😠

So, my brother-in-law and his wife promised they’d hook us up with a Bedstead, but they're dragging their feet saying we have to wait a month. Like, seriously? Can't they just get it to us sooner? Then there's my mother-in-law—she was all set to give us a dresser, but now she's gone completely radio silent. Typical. 🙄Whatever, let her have it. We’ll just grab one for her once MM gets that Christmas bonus hitting the bank account.
Man, she’s already itching to go in there and fix up his little room right this second.

It honestly drives me nuts. I’m sitting here getting all hyped up, practically counting down the days to buy stuff for the baby, and he just... doesn't get it. He's totally unphased. Like, zero emotion. I mean, I get it, I really do—he's a guy—but man, it’s frustrating.

I swear, I’d give anything just to have some damn peace and quiet. If I could just plop the baby into her Bedstead and call it a day, I’d be golden. I absolutely loathe doing everything at the last minute—it's honestly the worst. But right now? Total chaos. I’ve got contractors crawling all over my rooms like they own the place, and I’m already losing my mind. To top it all off, it’s been pouring rain outside for days straight. Just constant gloom.
God, this humidity is absolutely killing me. Nothing will dry, nothing. I need to get some decent airflow through the house before the baby gets here, but everything just feels heavy and damp. It’s driving me straight up the wall... honestly, I'm losing my mind over this.
And what about the guys? They just don't get it. It’s like, I see it with my man all the time—we go out to pick stuff up together, but he couldn't care less what we grab. He just tells me, "Whatever, you choose," and that's that. We get home, and he's done with it. Me? I'm still sitting there staring at it, obsessing over every little detail, just absolutely loving it. Total different worlds, man.😍

Yesterday, I found myself feeling just as miserable. My doctor mentioned they think it’s a girl, and I was honestly so excited for a moment. I turned to my husband to see how he felt, but all I got was a half-hearted, "That's cool." 😕 "What's the big deal?" I asked him. He just shrugged and said, "Well, yeah, but the baby is healthy, isn't it? That's what matters." 😕 It feels like I'm navigating this entire pregnancy completely on my own, celebrating these milestones by myself.
I get it—he’s preoccupied with everything going on with his sick mother right now—but I can't help but feel like maybe I deserve at least a little bit of shared excitement about having a daughter, or even just about the pregnancy itself.

True. There was a time when some men acted like they had zero skin in the game, behaving as if raising a child was solely a woman's burden rather than a shared responsibility.

He should be helping me train him. He needs to step up with the baby, join us on walks, and if I have to run an errand, he should be the one watching and changing the baby rather than dumping that duty on his mother or mine.

Honestly, my husband really got under my skin today—to the point where I actually broke down in tears. Usually, he’s wonderful, but between my hormones and his stubborn "manly" attitude, it was just a perfect storm. We were talking earlier, and I mentioned how excited I am for our 12-week ultrasound; it's going to be the first time we see the baby together. Instead of sharing that moment, he just brushed me off, saying, "You know when that is? There's plenty of time. I still have to work until then, and besides, it's easy for you since you're just sitting at home!"
WTF!!!! I've been stuck inside all day feeling miserable, dealing with a cold and feeling completely run down, yet I'm still the one cooking him lunch and keeping up with the laundry so everything is ready for him. And then I get hit with that "easy for you because you're home" comment. It’s almost like he's jealous that I'm on medical leave. Well... newsflash: I'm the one doing the heavy lifting here, not you.
+ And let’s be real, my entire life is about to be flipped upside down, while his barely changes. I can't go to concerts anymore because I'm constantly worried about the noise affecting the baby, and I have to be so careful about what I eat and how I move. Meanwhile, his lifestyle stays exactly the same—football games, grabbing drinks with the guys, concerts... it's like that. So instead of being happy with me about this upcoming ultrasound, he offers absolutely nothing.😢

FIGICA, I’m right there with you. I told him the same thing—that we’re going to handle bath time together and he’ll be helping with diaper changes too, though I made it clear he isn't just stepping in when things get messy. 🙂

Persephone really needs your husband to step up. 🙂
