Old people drive me absolutely nuts sometimes... My own parents used to dump all their drama on me constantly—stuff I couldn't do a single thing about. It was like they just needed to vent their frustrations about my brother or whatever else was going wrong, and they felt better after dumping it on me, while I was left feeling completely drained. Honestly, it got to the point where I’d be crying myself to sleep instead of resting, and I'd be a total zombie for days afterward. So, eventually, I just hit a wall. I told them straight up: either stop the constant venting, or I'm done coming over. Now? We’re actually doing great. I know your situation isn't an exact mirror of mine, but listen, you have to draw a hard line in the sand. If your mom doesn't have anything constructive to offer, she needs to just stay quiet.
And these so-called "friends" of yours??? Forget the mall, forget everything—I wouldn't say another word to people like that if my life depended on it! Is that really what you need in your life? Personally, I don't think so. Fingers crossed for you, stay strong!

A lifesaver... thank you guys so much...
Honestly, being in this headspace right now? It feels totally isolating. Just lonely, you know? Like most of you, my husband is always at work and isn't around during the day, and all my "friends" are either single or in those relationships where you can't even tell they're trying for a baby... As for my in-laws, the news of the pregnancy hit them like a ton of bricks—it was like someone had died. Seriously, I saw their faces firsthand, and 🙂 can vouch for how grim it looked. I’m trying to laugh it off, really I am.
I've been lurking on this forum since day one of my pregnancy, and you all are just incredible. That shared sisterhood and empathy? It’s honestly what's keeping me sane.
My plan? I'm just gonna go ghost or keep things strictly minimal... at least until the baby arrives. 😲
Mah-mah 🙂

I tried squeezing back into my old pre-pregnancy jeans, but nope... it's just not happening! Most of my clothes have migrated straight to my belly... it’s getting seriously huge 😬

i wish 🤣🤣

It’s driving me crazy because I can't find my camera cable anywhere, but I really want to snap some pics. I want to show the difference between my regular size 2 size leggings and my maternity ones... because, honestly, my bump still looks tiny, but I've already put on about 15 pounds and it all went straight to my hips and butt. I definitely don't fit into my usual size 2 anymore 🤷

And yeah, I'm also super frustrated because my doctor at the local community clinic told me everything was totally fine, but then he wrote down in my medical records that I was dilated. Now I'm just sitting here waiting for an appointment at a private specialist on Monday morning to see if everything is actually okay or not. After I realized what he wrote on Friday, I was such a mess from crying and panicking that I could barely even get out of bed, let alone deal with the stress of waiting in line at a clinic just to ask a question... especially since that guy is one of those doctors who won't even answer basic questions when you try to ask him what's actually going on 👎👎

rustyrider3, look, I’m not even pregnant yet, but if it makes you feel any better, your mom isn't the only one making ridiculous claims.
Mine actually told me she'll be "depressed" for nine straight months once I get pregnant—and that I shouldn't even mention it to her until the very last second, ideally right when I'm in labor.
Since she kept her promise to be miserable during my wedding because she viewed it as a day of mourning, I have zero doubt she'll stick to this script too.
And of course, she’ll probably try to parade the baby around everywhere, claiming it's "wasteful" to buy Christmas decorations since the kid is already here—even though kids drive her absolutely insane. She'll just "sacrifice" herself for me, as long as she can stomach it.

EDIT: I’m 30 years old. I have a career, a degree, a husband, a car, a solid salary, and I'm finishing grad school. I haven't lived under their roof in two years, but apparently, I'm still just a clueless idiot who knows nothing about how the world works.

What is actually going on with all you moms??? 😲
If my mom even breathed a word of that kind of nonsense, she’d be looking at a solid three or four hours of tears, me slamming the phone receiver down, ignoring her calls, and a non-stop lecture on just how cold-blooded and disrespectful she’s being! 😁
I don't tolerate that kind of stupidity from anyone—not even my own mother!

And as for friends... rustyrider3, you seriously don't need friends like that in your life! ☕

Personally, nothing gets under my skin more than those empty-headed women (mostly the 50+ crowd 😕) hovering around me with unsolicited advice about how I shouldn't let myself gain weight! For the record, I am not overweight, and even if I were, why on earth is it their business!?! 🤷 Do we really live in a society where being overweight is considered the ultimate sin???????

Honestly, those mindless Facebook posts just drive me up the wall—you know the ones, where people post a picture of their kid with some caption like "my little angel... one more on the way!" Yeah, right. As if you could even manage to find a decent job, let alone handle a whole child. 😠

And don't even get me started on when someone actually has the nerve to ask me, "So, have you had your baby yet?" Ugh! Just... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't even bring myself to comment on those posts above—I'd just end up 🙂

🙄And then there's when people ask if I'm "still in shape," 🙄
well, not really, because I feel like I've completely fallen apart 🙂

It honestly drives me absolutely insane thinking about how I spent basically my entire pregnancy sleeping on a literal couch because of those idiots at the local manufacturing plant. And not even because of the actual work, but because of their shady "business model" and the way they insist on paying out chunks of our wages in cash under the table... 😢😢

Ugh, this whole forum is seriously driving me up the wall because it’s just soooooooo incredibly glitchy and slow, like, actually snail-paced... I swear I forget what I was even trying to look up by the time the page finally decides to load. 🙄

My mom is driving me absolutely insane. She’s been unemployed for ages, she’s drifted away from her entire social circle, and I’m basically all she has left. Because of that, every single emotion she has—the good, the bad, and the ugly—is aimed directly at me. Her whole sense of purpose revolves around those few hours a week when I come over to visit. When I moved into an apartment with my boyfriend—now my husband—she cried for two straight months like it was some endless monsoon. And yeah, I ended up crying too, just because she wouldn't stop.
There were plenty of other gems, but I won't bore you with the whole list...

Get this: when guests started congratulating her at our wedding, she shut them all down. I quote: "I haven't achieved anything; I just lost my daughter."

She even told me straight to my face that while she's glad I'm happy with my life, she shouldn't be expected to act cheerful about the fact that I don't live under her roof anymore and have my own family where she isn't the center of the universe.

Like I mentioned, I’m not pregnant yet (though we're trying), but one of my biggest fears regarding pregnancy is how on earth I'm going to break the news to her if it actually happens.

Anyway, sorry ladies, I'll stop venting now!!! Love you all 😍

I’m putting in my request for a stroller 😠

Man, this has been such a headache... I am seriously over how much stuff I have to obsess over. When I first found out I was pregnant, I honestly thought this part would be easy.
I mean, I’m not even asking for anything crazy... just a four-wheel stroller where the safety rating isn't total garbage (if I’m forced to buy them as a bundle) and the colors aren't eye-searingly ugly.
The weight and how they fold aren't even my main dealbreakers, but whatever happens, there's always something that bugs me. 😵

Honestly, people over the last couple of days have irritated me way more than being pregnant ever did.😠
We just had some snow fall here, and apparently, that’s a massive freaking miracle because it doesn't happen all the time around here. So, there I am, just trying to walk my dog and hit up the local grocery store like I do every single day, when suddenly I run into the neighbors and everyone on the block starts acting like I’m losing my mind. It’s always the same thing—"Oh my god, are you okay? Are you trying to go into labor early? Are you crazy for walking in the snow? Who even let you outside?" etc., etc...😛 People are seriously out of their minds. It drives me absolutely nuts. I put on my leggings, watched my step, and moved along. I’m not an invalid or some helpless wreck just because I’m pregnant; I walk just fine, I just happen to have a belly now, and that doesn't mean I can't step foot outside once in a while.😕Then I get to the store to grab some bread, and the cashier gives me that exact same look—like, why on earth would you be out in this weather? My blood pressure shot through the roof immediately.😠 Seriously, such weirdos.

Rebecca Vaughn7, look, your mother isn't going to lose anything by having a grandchild around—if anything, she’s winning big time! 😉 It’s pretty obvious she’s just unhappy and projecting that possessiveness onto you (she loves you a little too much, let's be real), but any grandkids you bring into this world are nothing but a massive upgrade for her life. Just frame it that way when the time comes. I'm rooting for you to get pregnant ASAP! 😍

I find myself getting so incredibly frustrated by people who are just completely inconsiderate and rude, in every possible sense of the word 😠
it’s honestly such a nuisance, and I sometimes feel like I just want to ship them all off to the middle of nowhere and make sure they never bother anyone again 🙄
I really can't stand people like that 🙂

Reading this feels like listening to my own mother and mother-in-law. They call me every single day just to tell me it's snowing. Please, I'm not blind! Personally, I love the snow, and my husband and I still take our daily walks around the neighborhood. If I actually told my mom that, I think she'd lock me in the house and throw away the key. Other people haven't really given me a hard time yet because my bump isn't super obvious, but I have no doubt they'll start up soon enough.

My blood pressure absolutely skyrocketed last night because my brother-in-law—that total moron—decided to weigh in with one of his usual condescending remarks about how people nowadays pick out names for their kids like they’re naming a Golden Retriever or some other random pet... He dropped this whole judgmental lecture right after he overheard what we’ve actually decided to call our little one... And to make matters worse, my husband was completely useless in the moment; he wouldn't listen to a word I said and then had the audacity to chime in saying he actually likes the name Lucy, as if I hadn't already made the decision myself... Honestly, at this rate, I might as well have just invented the name from thin air to shut everyone up once and for all.🙂

I remember there was this huge blowout once about baby names, and some lady just blurted out, "Who cares what my kid is called?! If I want to name him BATMAN, I will!!" 😂😂😂

We all deal with this crap... personally, I told everyone I wanted my little brat to have a name that actually works anywhere in the world, you know, something "international." We're going with Eve, and people still give me these judgmental looks like it's some huge deal. If it were a boy, it would've been Max, and I got the same "you're acting like you own a pet" comments...🙄
I mean, what else am I supposed to pick?! Some generic, old-fashioned name like John or Mike that you see on every single street corner in America!
And as for husbands "participating" in the naming process? I stick to one simple fact: I'm the one carrying this baby for nine months, so I'm the one making the call on the name! 🙂

So I went to the local Red Cross clinic today for my last blood donation, and let me tell you, the woman working there absolutely butchered me... it was like she was skinning a deer or something! And honestly, how much blood do they really need? I’m telling you, they just sell it all off later—probably straight to some butcher shop to make blood sausages or whatever. Absolute scum! Plus, why does it hurt so damn much when they hit a vein?! Honestly, I’d rather have them just go straight for the jugular; at least then they might actually hit something instead of this mess... and then she has the nerve to comment, "Oh, your veins are so deep!!" Yeah, well, thanks for noticing! 🙄
Should I ask her to use a shallower needle next time???☕

Medicare!!! 🙂🙂

They’re cutting off my supplemental coverage at the start of next month. I sent them a written notice on the 11th, but they didn't even process it until mid-month. What am I supposed to do about it? It shouldn't take fifteen days for mail to travel from one side of the city to the other...🙂🙂

Now they’re claiming that because I didn't give them sixty days' notice—only fifty—🙄🙄 I’m stuck paying three more months of premiums per the fine print!!! 😵😵 Absolute thieves. I'm not paying a cent; they can try to sue me if they want. I signed for a year, I gave notice, and they're just being incompetent...🙂🙂

Now that I think about it, almost everything is starting to get on my nerves. My husband set me off yesterday just because he wouldn't drop everything to help me reach something on top of a cabinet 🤣while he was busy washing the dog 🤣...🙂 🙂..
