All those tall tales and "urban legends" about Joe have been floating around forever, but this one? This has to be the most naive thing I've ever heard...

Something will come to light eventually.

I suppose the locksmith business would have turned a decent profit, provided one actually had the chance to run it—unless, of course, you were already being handsomely rewarded by the party for your political loyalty.

Nah, listen, being a locksmith is only profitable if you actually have a head for business. Otherwise? Not even close...

Good to see you, Henry, you absolute legend.🙏 🙏
My bad, I didn't realize there were only two left in Mexico.😢

If there are actually funds to be found, they should be distributed among the families of those who fell on all sides—whether they were fighting for the resistance, the Axis, or the nationalist factions.

Not a bad idea. I just suspect most of it was stashed away by that greedy locksmith and ruler of post-war America.
What's $2 billion to them... there's plenty more where that came from...

But it wasn't his private property, and it didn't pass down to his kids either. You couldn't just wander onto Brijuni. And honestly, tell me where you don't see elites acting like this today. You couldn't get onto Brijuni or a few other spots where Marshall used to hang out, and that was that.
That's why nowadays, every single tycoon—usually through some illegal loophole—fences off a stretch of beach, leaving you to try and find a spot to swim if you're lucky enough.

Come on, don't be so cynical. The only reason it didn't stay in the family is because everything fell apart in '89 and the whole system collapsed.
Think about it—if we still had a one-party state today, wouldn't FDR's descendants be holding major positions in the government right now? You can bet on it.

If FDR really stashed two billion dollars in Swiss accounts, as some outlets are claiming—and let's face it, that's money he basically embezzled—I don't see why Jovanka or Mexico should get a single cent. That money belongs to all the former republics of America.

The US government needs to look into this and challenge those ownership claims right now.

The defense contractors are pulling in insane numbers, sometimes billions of dollars at a time 🤣 and honestly, I wouldn't mind a career in that sector myself.

Yeah, sure, if you want to believe that. It actually belonged to Marshall and his little circle of communist buddies.☕
What are we even supposed to say about a guy who kept an entire damn island all to himself and wouldn't let anyone else set foot on it?👎

-he wasn't exactly being selfish though, since he gave everyone who disagreed with him a one-way ticket to Alcatraz☕

Ha... you’d almost think he was actually around during the whole privatization mess and the transition era...

Or maybe I just had some blind spots regarding that "perfectly equal" socialism we all lived under... ahhh... let's call them "oversights," shall we? If we even had forums or actual freedom of speech back then to discuss it.

Put the money right here, immediately... but don't send it to the government... send it to the hospitals, the nursing homes, the daycare centers, and so on...

Sadly, even if he swiped those 2 billion, it’s still not enough to fix all the massive messes he left behind, especially this absolute disaster of a Social Security system.

Franklin D. Roosevelt allegedly left two billion bucks to Jovanka—so, what is the US actually doing about it?

Just catching up on some reading in the USA Today and the New York Post🤣🤣

If that were actually true, Jovanka would have been living in poverty in Mexico City for twenty years. Can you even imagine? She’d be lounging on the Cayman Islands, sipping cocktails, and she wouldn't give a damn about what's happening over here.

Oh, please, you can just assume he left it behind. ☕

And even Jovanka didn't find out about it until 30 years later. ☕

I didn't think there were any villas left in Beverly Hills, though—weren't they "diligent" enough to divvy those up properly among themselves already?

Look, here is my actual suggestion: why don't we take that money and put it toward upgrading the technical locksmithing college or funding scholarships for the gifted kids? It's a highly profitable trade, if you ask me.
