Democracy in the United States

On Wednesday, the chairman of the Orthodox Jewish Union and chief Rabbi of Hebron, Rabbi Dov Lior, released a religious ruling declaring that under Jewish law, hiring Arabs or renting property to them is strictly prohibited.

Speaking in an interview published by "Our Land of Israel," which is set to be circulated this Saturday in various synagogues, Lior noted that because this involves a direct threat to human life, it is absolutely forbidden to employ them or lease homes to them in the United States. He clarified that this ban isn't limited to yeshivas—it applies to factories, hotels, and just about everywhere else too.
So much for democracy in the US... 🙂

We're talking about some crazy rabbi's ramblings here—stuff that honestly, nobody should even be taking seriously.

...look, we’ve been over this a million times already, but people just stay quiet while this insane level of segregation is happening right under their noses...just imagine if we had rules like that here in the States or anywhere else...it's honestly hard to wrap your head around...
...and I should probably mention this whole "Eretz" thing too...they aren't just talking about the West Bank and the Gaza Strip; they're claiming territory in Syria (the Golan Heights) and the entire country of Jordan as well...talk about being pretentious, honestly, even someone like Slobodan Maddox would be embarrassed by that kind of ego...

What's even the point of arguing? All those rules they're enforcing up there are just one tiny piece of the whole apartheid puzzle—there’s way more to this mess than people want to admit.

Nah, not really.

I get that certain groups are facing discrimination, but that doesn't have anything to do with whether the system is a democracy or not. The title of this thread is pretty specific—it should be about discrimination in Israel.

He isn't some fringe lunatic rabbi; he’s actually one of the leading Ashkenazi rabbis.
Beyond that, this decision was prompted by the Jerusalem massacre—specifically after an individual with Israeli citizenship walked into a yeshiva and killed eight children. Judging by how many people within the Arab population seem to support such actions (and please, don't make me pull up those depressing statistics), combined with the full-throated support and logistical backing provided by Balestinčad, I suspect this move is necessary, even if it is long overdue.

In reality, it's mostly Arabs and Muslims heading there, claiming to be women with Israeli citizenship. 😉

The way things work in the Islamic world, women generally defer to men, so I really don't get why this specific phenomenon keeps popping up in Israel. 😍

...look, no matter how Israel plays its hand, things are going to end badly. If they decide to democratize, they'll just be inviting a relentless wave of attacks and leaving their citizens living in constant stress because everyone is suddenly "equal" under the law, regardless of whether they're Jewish or not. But if they stay exactly as they are now—this separatist, oppressive, apartheid-style entity that spends every single day crushing innocent, innocent non-Jews—then it’s still a disaster because they’ll remain a total laughingstock to the rest of the modern world.
