Can't sleep because of the noise?

To follow up on my last point, I couldn't think of a more perfect thread for this

So, yesterday everyone was venting about the noise from the Lollapalooza festival downtown—and look, I’m definitely sensitive to loud stuff too, but it didn't actually bother me much last night because I know way more people are suffering through it than I am. Like, if this were happening during a local pumpkin patch festival, it would be driving me crazy, but since it's a massive festival in the middle of the city, there are probably tons of poor souls dealing with way worse exposure

On top of that, I’ve been trying to adjust to the construction work just two floors down from me. It wasn't even a big deal until this morning—mostly because I've been thinking about how many people have been fleeing the city lately—but now I've realized I'm basically living right next to the construction site, and honestly? That realization is what's really getting under my skin

At the end of the day, it isn't even just about the noise itself... it's just an annoyance, but I'm not really looking to dump my problems on anyone else
