How are you all feeling right now?
Please be honest with me—don't just go by what the poll numbers say.

There are just a few things making me unhappy, though I wouldn't say I'm miserable.

Everything else is fine.

I won't use that old cliché about the glass being half full or half empty—but honestly, how someone sees their situation depends on their own mindset and perspective when they ask themselves "how is life going."

Some people are content even with the bare minimum. Others just can't seem to find happiness, no matter what they have.

You only have to look at some of those huge Hollywood stars who have the money, the youth, the looks, the fame, the fans, beautiful kids, mansions with pools, and even private jets, yet they still end up needing drugs or therapy because clearly they aren't fulfilled or satisfied.

True happiness doesn't really come from the outside.
It's a state of mind.

Though, I guess it's better to be unhappy in a BMW than to be living on welfare.😁

I’m feeling incredibly on edge right now—just completely wired and frustrated because I didn't get any sleep again. It means I haven't been able to study enough for this upcoming exam, and honestly? I'm just totally fed up with this university and everything else about my current situation...
Tonight, I’m probably going to just knock myself out with some sleeping pills so I can actually focus on studying tomorrow. Though, who’s to say if that’ll even work? No guarantees there...
What really eats at me, though, is how much my life has changed since these issues with sleeping pills started. I don't even recognize myself anymore; I feel like some shell of a person. I've stopped doing the things I used to love. I'm becoming a shadow of who I once was...
On top of all the other crap I've had to deal with lately, this happens too. It feels like the final straw, you know? It just makes everything feel even more repulsive...
I just feel defeated. Like everything is just too much to handle...
Life is moving forward while I’m stuck in place. Even the biggest idiots and the most crooked people around me seem to be moving ahead, while I'm just left here, frozen and buried...

Good vibes all around... honestly feeling pretty great right now, just kicked back with a drink in hand, feeling nice and warm, and just waiting on the crew to show up so we can get a poker game going. 👍

Pretty much normal, though I’m leaning towards happy.
It’s Friday night, doing whatever I want, zero studying to do, and I can sleep in all day tomorrow. Plus, I’ve got the whole weekend ahead just to dive into Harry Potter. LOL 😁

Sure, there’s some stuff making me a little bummed out, but it’s kind of just baked in at this point. It’s always there, adding this sort of low-key sad tint to my mood, but I mean, you can't be miserable 24/7.

So yeah, I’m happy right now.

It’s unfortunate, but I’ve grown so accustomed to this state that I can’t even remember what happiness actually feels like.
If that sensation—like one of the posts mentioned earlier—is just the cozy, satisfied feeling you get after a massive Thanksgiving dinner, then I’ll honestly admit my analysis was a bit off 😛
. Mostly, I’ve realized I’ve hit a ceiling. It isn't about studying harder, working more, or building up my self-confidence—it’s not even about things within my control anymore. That whole cliché, "If you want something bad enough, the universe will conspire to help you," turned out to be absolute nonsense, and I’m slowly being forced to face reality. I tend to look for fulfillment in grand gestures, and I struggle to change my nature. So, I remain unhappy. It’s a closed loop. 🤣

I’m just sitting here listening to music, and honestly, I actually felt a bit better for a second. Which really just means there's a tiny glimmer of hope that those sleeping pills will actually kick in tonight... and let me get enough rest to tackle studying tomorrow...
It feels like such a ridiculous cycle, doesn't it? Listening to music just to lift my mood enough so that the medication might finally work... it's like everything in my life has become secondary to those little pills...
First, I was listening to that almost masochistic track, you know, "Just a perfect day, drink sangria in the park, and then later when it gets dark we go home"...
That song kind of softens me up at first, gives me some comfort, but then while I'm listening to it, I realize exactly how messed up my actual reality is right now. It makes the contrast between the lyrics and my life today feel... well, heavy...
Then I try switching over to something a bit more upbeat—maybe some rap or something like "Rainy Day"—and it actually lifts me enough that I feel like I could step outside for a quick walk, even though I'm exhausted and feeling pretty drained...
Right now, my mental state is just... completely fractured...

And regarding that whole idea that "if you want something, the entire universe will conspire to help you achieve it," or whatever the quote goes... I don't know. I've always loved that sentiment. I've secretly believed in it. But I can't bring myself to apply it to anything concrete tonight, especially not to these sleeping pills. I can't risk it if they fail me and I lose the last shred of hope I have left...

So, that was the temporary high from the music. Now I'm restless again. I don't even know what to do with myself. I just feel this mounting tension...

So, I just called my homeopathic practitioner to ask when I should start taking that damn remedy she’s supposed to prepare for me... though, if I'm being honest, I don't really believe in this stuff, and I have no idea why I even threw my money away on it in the first place....
I ended up calling her sounding so incredibly gloomy, and she actually tells me, "I can tell by your voice that you sound much better and different." Haha, well, I guess at least that gave me a little laugh for now....
It’s kind of wild, isn't it? The idea that someone could actually sense your entire mood just from the tone of your voice... lol....
Anyway, I think I'll go spend some time scrolling through the internet for a bit 😂 ☕ ...

I've been feeling pretty miserable for days now. My mood just tanks whenever the weather gets like this—that gross, depressing limbo between rain and snow. Plus, I guess my meds are starting to really mess with me lately...

Unfortunately, even though I don't have a single reason to feel this way today and my day was actually pretty good...

Neither good nor bad.

Just some juice, my keyboard, and headphones (I’m not really a fan, but sometimes you just gotta deal with it), plus some music... watching the temperature drop outside... it's actually below freezing now... meanwhile, I'm staying nice and warm.
Wondering if everything will be covered in white by morning... I've got plans tomorrow...
It's not like I'm driving a BMW or living on government assistance...

But all in all, I'm doing alright.🙂

Coffee, my laptop, a warm room,
just me in my pajamas and slippers,
feeling so relaxed...
I could really go for a chat with someone.
My mind is wandering quite a bit.
Keeping myself entertained.

I’m not sure if you’d call it pure happiness, but
it’s just so cozy... so peaceful...

Ugh, what a mess! I’m heading off to tackle my life now—sorting out bills, hitting the laundry, making dinner... just the usual chaos.🙂
Honestly, now that finals are over, everything feels totally chill. Life is good. At this point, you could probably drop three heavyweight boxers on my head and I wouldn't even flinch.😵 😵 😵

Closed, sure. But you can crack it open at any moment if you actually feel like it. 😉

Not much happens in terms of "big life events," and if you're just sitting there waiting for luck to strike from those moments while simultaneously deciding you're incapable of changing, then it's no wonder you're miserable. 🙂

Everyone builds their own happiness, and honestly, they build their own misery too. It's a free choice, you know...😉

Does anyone else ever feel like they’re living out those lyrics, "laughing on the outside while crying on the inside"?

Sometimes I just feel like giving up entirely😠

I hate being alive, honestly😠
And I can't stand anyone who actually seems happy or satisfied😠
I have zero motivation; I'd probably rather just sleep forever
Every single day feels like Groundhog Day😲
Life is a joke, and whoever designed this mess really messed up😠
I can't even deal with most of my relatives because they're all so blissfully normal
I guess I hate 99% of people on this planet—but yeah, the problem is probably me🤷 😍

I’m in a real rut right now—just a total slump. That’s why I’m wasting my time hanging out here on this forum instead of doing anything productive.

Same here. For quite a while now, my life has just been following one pattern: nothing works, nothing moves, and then everything just hits a dead end.
