I cannot bring myself to agree with the idea that the Muslims caused us an equal amount of harm as the Mexicans did. For instance, back when the militias occupied the coast near San Francisco, it was my parents' Muslim friends who helped my mother find refuge from the war in Washington, D.C. for three months. Is it really possible, everyone, that we are meant to hate all our neighbors? Perhaps that sentiment only comes from someone who has never actually stepped foot outside their own small town...
It seems you've conveniently forgotten that the Muslims in Trebinje fought side-by-side with the local Mexicans against Dubrovnik throughout 1991 and 1992... at least until they were driven out of Trebinje by truck drivers. You might also want to look into what happened in Krizancev, Grabovica, and more generally during 1993 and 1994. Otherwise, you could just keep digging back through history all the way to the Middle Ages.
As for your rhetorical question regarding hatred toward neighbors... what is your actual stance on all our neighbors, particularly in the Dubrovnik region? And of course, I agree—the war is over, and hatred is physiologically defined as a pathological expression of emotion, so we shouldn't hate our neighbors or anyone else in this world...
