So, how am I supposed to snag an auto loan or even just some general personal credit $16667 if my employer isn't exactly playing by the rules when it comes to
paying my payroll taxes? 😠

It feels like everyone is suddenly demanding official proof of my earnings from the IRS or some other government agency...
Can anyone actually help me out here?

Seriously though, people... what about my sanity?? 😕
Does anyone actually have any experience dealing with this crap?

Does anyone actually know if there's even a shot at getting a loan approved if my payroll taxes haven't been filed properly?

I’m not saying I’m 100% certain, but look at it this way... my gut tells me we're talking about a small-time operation here, and that salary you mentioned isn't exactly life-changing... and let's be real, if you want a bank to actually take you seriously for a loan, they need proof that your employer is playing by the rules when it comes to your paychecks and benefits....
so, if you're openly admitting that your taxes and payroll contributions aren't being filed properly, you can kiss that credit goodbye; the bank isn't going to touch you.
honestly, if your W-2s and your social security statements aren't looking solid, the whole plan just falls apart.

Thanks, Kimberly Nguyen... Look, we’re talking about a small local business here, maybe like a boutique shop or a specialized service outfit with 6 or 7 employees on the payroll. The salary they’re showing? It’s actually decent enough to live on, plus you've got the bonuses and all that extra stuff on top.
Alright, look, I'm fine with that, but you're really leaving me hanging on one thing... what exactly are you contributing here? Like, seriously, give me something to work with! Is there maybe some bank out there that isn't going to grill me over every little detail? It’s gotta be possible to just drop a deposit or put down some skin in the game to get things moving, right? Or am I just totally dreaming here? $3333.

Unfortunately, it seems like every major bank in the US is being incredibly strict about requiring proof of residency these days. I went through a similar headache myself recently. In the end, my only real option was to sit down with my boss and ask if they could ensure my payroll was deposited consistently for the next three months straight. Only after that period of steady, documented income did the bank finally approve my loan. You might want to try having a similar conversation with your employer; if they’re reasonable people, they’ll likely try to help you out. Just keep in mind that those three consecutive months of contributions have to be paid in on a month-to-month basis without fail to satisfy the requirements.

If your boss is really that much of a nightmare—honestly, the bigger issue is how you’re even going to pay back a loan. It feels like you're just trying to dig yourself out of a hole and fund some extra stuff you probably don't even need.
