Same here. Though, I tend to spend more time lurking and reading than actually typing anything out.

Question: do you ever get the feeling that you're just wasting your time?

Not really, though I wouldn't mind a little more excitement in my life—aside from the usual tablet stuff.😁 😁 😁 😁 😁

If that’s really how it is, then why all the complaining? Just do whatever makes you happy. (You only live once, right?)

But think about it: do you have any other goals? Will you look back one day and regret that you didn't pursue something else instead?

I'd love to go out and provide aid to people in Africa, but honestly, how would I even find a doctor over there????

maybe it’s time you actually faced reality for once? 😛 😉 like, specifically that person staring back at you in the mirror? 😛

If you were actually serious about this, you would be doing whatever it takes to make it happen.
So, either start preparing for actual humanitarian missions, or just settle for arguing on internet forums. Or perhaps find some other hobby.
If this is what truly brings you fulfillment—collecting stamps, reading phone books, growing sunflowers, whatever—then fine. As long as you aren't hurting anyone, who cares?

edit: But if you genuinely want to leave your house and experience the real world, yet find yourself paralyzed by an internet addiction, the simplest (and perhaps only?) solution is to cut the cables or see a psychologist.

If I really wanted to cut the cords and head off to Africa 😁 😁 😁

That person is just terrified—they aren't afraid of anything else, not even a terminal diagnosis.

You want to? Then go ahead and do it! Right now. It is physically possible, and you have the means to make it happen. Ultimately, the choice is yours.

Well, if that's how it's going to be. 🙂

I suffer from what I can only describe as a transient addiction. Once I stumble upon a new website, I become obsessively fixated on it, spending nearly all my waking hours browsing its pages for about a month at a time. Eventually, the novelty inevitably wears off, and I simply move on to the next site.😁

Ah, I see.

The guy gave you solid advice. If you find it too hard, I’ll just go out and start picking fights myself (honestly, that's my favorite part)😈 and I'll be banned in sixty seconds flat.
🙂
I've been thinking about making a burner account just to troll with the most annoying mods possible—though there's plenty of competition out there if you agree😬..
Basically, from what I can tell, if you say anything even remotely contrary to the establishment on the politics board, Simba will ban you instantly.
So, go ahead, insult the fascists (just follow the Phoenix recipe🤣 ) and enjoy your permanent ban.😁

Aha, okay

I mean, I'm trying, but once you've basically mastered the art of being a pro in the bedroom, things change...
Anyway, I'm off to watch Dora !!!!!!!!!!!
edit: Well, looks like I already have a permanent ban...

What do you all get up to when you aren't busy working?
I'm currently between jobs, and while I find it a bit tough to get out much lately, I do try to make an effort to head outdoors now and then.
Honestly, though, I feel like I'm losing interest in almost everything...

Get a job.😲

I am actually quite busy myself; I even run my own business.
But if I try to work, I just end up falling asleep on the job—you can see why under my post about schizophrenia.😍 😍 😁 😁 😁

Then why did you say in your opening post that you didn't have a job?😕

Haha, okay, so on paper I'm employed, but I haven't actually worked a job in a year.
I mean, I stay busy with housework and helping my husband out, but technically I don't have an official job—though you wouldn't find that listed in my employment records.
edit: signing documents and stamping papers doesn't exactly count as a career, does it?

Yeah, I get that... so, do you have kids?
