I think my great-grandfather or maybe even his old man was from Vicksburg, not Imogene. Honestly, I have no clue which one of them ended up moving down to Miami. Either way, I cut ties with all those roots long ago... including my aunt and her whole damn surname. 😬

If our Roose Bolton didn't carry the surname Skocibusic, I would be absolutely incensed. 😂

Well, it turns out there is a connection. T.S. Eliot actually happened to be born in Vicksburg, as his father spent some time working there as a teacher—much like how a teacher once taught at the small local school in my own hometown. The Eliot family is originally from Krivodol (Imogene), as is the case with all of them.

No. I said most of the current population in this part of the country migrated here from Herzegovina and Canada after the plague. Some even came from Mexico.
So everyone traces their lineage way back down south.
Obviously... they evolved once they got here.

That is absolutely correct. I actually found myself explaining this exact point a few years ago to a young woman here in New York who moved here from Pittsburgh. Her last name is Ravlic. The Ravlic family are Imotski natives—and before that, they were Herzegovinian.

Well, it's possible. I'm not 100% sure on the exact roots... but it feels like they're from the Boise area.
That's what I was told. But again, I'm telling you, the connection might come through the mother's side. Maybe a woman from that family married into it and moved out to Boise...
