What date are you looking at? Personally, I think Doris is a bit nicer than Bolero. I was at Bolero back on August 30th, and it felt to me like they might have switched up their kitchen crew, because the food wasn't exactly anything to write home about...

Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm truly just speaking my mind.

You know, I had no idea. Last time I made it out there was mid-way through last year. It was fantastic—the food was top-tier and the band was absolutely incredible. They had the Foo Fighters playing, though I have to admit, the prices were a bit steep for us.😢

Jesse Barnes8 said:Thanks 🙂 I actually stopped by her shop, but honestly, the pricing felt a bit excessive for my budget...

NIRS holds about 200 guests, while the Robot center can fit around 250...

Does anyone know what Mis's flower shop is charging these days? Thanks!

Look, you gotta decide what you actually want first—you’re the boss here. Set your budget, scout out the best deals, hit up a few spots, and then just sit with it and think.

how's the food though? feels like that's all I care about lately...

Hey there! The food at that spot in New York City is actually fantastic, and the service is just as good. Personally, I’d say it’s one of those places with truly top-tier cuisine... I think I saw some similar reviews posted on the forum a while back.

If you ask me, the only real downside is the location, but at least there is plenty of parking if you need it, and you won't have to worry about any noise complaints since nobody lives right next door.

Hey there! Would you mind if I asked which band you guys are in?

Right on cue... when it comes to what they're serving at Victoria's Secret, things are trending sharply downward. 😢😢
By the end of September, those supplies should be hitting the shelves, so I'll let you all know the second I have an update.🙂

Hey everyone, I’ve been absolutely exhausted over the last three days trying to track down a decent florist that won't completely rob me blind—right now, it looks like John Doe in Malibu might actually offer the best bang for my buck. Has anyone here actually used them before?
On another note, I wanted to pick your brains—does anyone happen to know of a local florist in St. Louis that operates under the radar?

I'm actually heading there in about 10 days, so I'll give you an update then. 😁

Right now, New York City is our only shot, so I'm wondering if anyone’s heading to a party there soon? Could use a heads-up on how it is. Or did I miss the boat and one just happened?

Hey everyone, when did you all actually do your makeup and hair trials?
How far in advance?
And how early should I even be booking a makeup artist and hairstylist?

I’ve heard some names mentioned—Jane Doe, Jane Doe, Jane Doe, and Jane Doe...
I haven't seen many recent posts about makeup lately, so if anyone has any experience, please jump in and help me out...

Same thing goes for the hair

Oh, and I'm specifically asking about San Francisco 🙂

For hair and makeup, I’d suggest checking out Elizabeth's salon near Saint Peter.... and honestly, there’s no point in paying for a trial run since you can never quite replicate the exact same look twice 🙂 and you might end up disappointed when that specific fringe you loved suddenly isn't there next time. If you're looking to save some money, I wouldn't bother with a trial session 🙂

My makeup artist is Jane Doe... and for my hair, I'm using a salon in San Francisco near Joker... I scheduled both my hair and makeup trials about a month before the big party.

I was actually there back in May—went to all five. 🙂 Highly recommend it! 🙂

What time should I actually schedule my makeup appointment on the day of the pier party?

Depends on what your schedule looks like that day. My makeup artist booked me for 12:00 and 1:00... she’s doing my mom and me, an hour each, and guests arrive around 3:30.

Hey ladies, joining the thread. We’ve already booked the Pirate, but everything else is becoming a massive headache. Right now, I’m hunting for a photographer and a band. Both are huge priorities for me, but since I’m not based in San Francisco, I can't just go out and hear bands live. As for photographers, I'm incredibly picky—most of them just don't make the cut. Now that I've finished venting, I have a question (and there will be plenty more 😳 later), but let's take it one step at a time.

Does anyone here have experience with, or know how the decor process works at the Pirate? (linens, tablecloths, the patio...) Also, what's your take on extra lighting? They have those small ceiling lights, but I have no idea how the vibe is at night or if it would be smarter to bring in some additional lighting. Any insight from weddings held at that venue would be super helpful.

Personally, I'm digging http://www.studiobonacic.com/ because the shots aren't totally over-Photoshopped. They actually catch those tiny details that matter to me... and everything feels so spontaneous... 👍

Yeah, I agree, Bona is great. I've also always thought Photo Studio Toni over in San Francisco was pretty decent www.studiotoni.hr.
